It’s never annoying when you butt in with knowledge. I actually love it when you do so. It adds so much to the reaction.
I fall into the first category. I always felt I didn't belong even in my own family, and I felt more comfortable with animals and outside, sitting by a campfire or being by the beach or in a quiet outside area. As I got older I became more curious and began reading everything I could get my hands on about Wicca and WitchCraft and for parts of myself that I never knew where there.
Oh man, first category for me. I grew up not understanding that I was astral projecting, I was scared when things I thought of as a kid happened .. because I grew up super religious it scared me. And I shoved it away for years but now I'm so proud to trust my intuition to know the energies that work with me and threw me. That was a great question!
Yo I grew up astral traveling too! Except I thought I was just dreaming so…whoops! 😂

I definitely fall into that first category you mentioned out of the two. I realized what I was doing and was drawn to. I was one of those 'throw shampoo, salt, and a shell into water to have a mermaid potion' preteens. So that love and belief of magic hasn't ever left, just changed when I discovered real witchcraft. My path and beliefs have drastically changed over the 5, closing in on 6 years that I have been practicing.
I was raised Christian and somewhat came full circle of wanting nothing to do with anything possibly connected to the religion to now my religion is a mix of Theistic Luciferianism and religions from pop-culture that drew me in.

I fall into the second category. While superstition, herbalism, and alternative healing have always been part of my life, I never was an active practitioner in any of it until I found witchcraft. Then BAM it was like a switch went on in my life and I knew I had found my calling.
I definitely agree on the usage of the word "cult." For example, when doing research on Demeter, most of the rituals and ceremonies that we know of today came from what we know of the Cult of Demeter, basically referring to a group that worshipped her as their primary deity, not blind devotion to a central figure who exploited members for personal gain or to fit a delusional self-view.
when i first started practicing it felt like i was seeing the world for the first time and everything felt so alive and connected for lack of a better term. it felt natural like everything was as it was meant to be
Since my mom got into Wicca when I was a toddler and I grew up using her books and tools has basically toys to play-pretend I was a witch, I'm more in the first category. She didn't practice very seriously and she showed me very little about it, I mostly just read her books from a very young age. But then I started actually studying witchcraft and Wicca as a teen, and it felt like what I had to be. It's just the right thing for me. I've always been fascinated by religions and spirituality, but witchcraft makes me feel like myself and it is one of the few things that is constantly present in my life no matter my tendency to get obsessed by a new topic/hobby for a short period and just stop as quickly. I questioned it many times and it just makes sense for my life 😌
I absolutely love Thorns explanations in this piece. She’s always very wordy and meaty in her dialogue and is a great informer for the pagan community in general.

I never felt that I belonged anywhere. No family history or traditions. Sort of grew up in "the church". I always believed in magic. I knew I was "magical". 59 yrs old and I am a beginner witch.
I fall into both, when I was really young witchcraft was part of my family but as I got older I totally lost it until about two years ago where I found it again at 38 years old and it was like an “ah ha” moment where it all came back to me & I felt at home with it all
Admittedly, I was always drawn towards Witchcraft. Early on in my teen years I started turning away from Christianity and I was already dealing with a bit of religious trauma so I guess I was looking for a place to belong. But also, many people in my family would have weird things happen to them, like seeing ghosts or hearing voices. ESPECIALLY in my childhood home. Even then though, I kind of felt like the odd one out because it wasn't just seeing ghosts and hearing voices for me. I'd have vivid astral experiences, or see things in the dead of night that didn't seem like your average ghost. I'd see shadow people in real life and in dreams. My teenage years were turbulent in so many ways, I think finding Witchcraft helped me cope.
Definitely the first category for me. In fact it's quite eerie just how many things that are common practices in the craft that I was already doing or thinking about. When I got older and out of my parents house and was able to openly study it, I was amazed at how much of the craft I had been experiencing as a child young's as 8 years old. It was as if it was just instinctive and natural for me. As I got a little older and studied it in secret bc of how God fearing my mom was. At that time it was mostly Wiccan books. I never really felt 100% good with wicca and when I became an adult and the internet existed, I learned that I didn't have to be Wiccan and I found that practicing as a solitary non religious was more comfortable for me. I noticed how much I had been doing naturally all along! I am so grateful for creators like you on UA-cam because I have learned so much more than I ever did growing up. Especially since it was harder to obtain and hide books in my parents home. Thank you so much for your content and how much time and effort you put into your videos!! Blessed be!!

I am certain I am within the second category of people. I come from a very devout, Roman Catholic family (all aside from my agnostic uncle). When I was younger, I was never set with the beliefs of the church, and I often questioned them in my head. My faith honestly felt empty. About four or five years ago I stumbled upon witchcraft, and I got a little interested and dabbled for a bit. But recently I've had more of a growth in my practice, and I even began incorporating my newly found belief in Buddhism. I've never felt more alive and at peace in my life. I now feel more empowered and enlightened, as if I threw off a bunch of weights.
WWAAAIIT! THORNS IN THIS!!!!!!! Some witches actually work with the devil but it's actually the Folkloric Devil. There are devil's and demons in the craft, like the Goetia. I'm the second category. When he was saying "So it's like an art", I would have said "Yes, hence witch Craft". God! He's funny!
So I was raised in the suburbs in Texas, going to a baptist church. But when I went to church, I went out of fear. My parents, my Sunday school teachers, and all the other adults in my life made it seem like god was the only answer. It was terrifying to think that this one guy, who doesn’t care about us individually and even has told his own subjects to sacrifice their children, was the one in charge of it all. I remember if I cussed or even said “oh my god” I would immediately have to pray and apologize to god.
Well turns out, I have psychotic depression. And religious fear like being baptist in Texas, does not bode well with psychosis.
Anyways, I remember one day giving up the idea of even thinking about religion because “Why does it matter anyway?” (At 15-admitted into a psych ward, had to leave public school and lost all my friends).
One day I stumbled across a Harmony Nice video, after trying to clean and make my room as cozy as possible (my only sanctuary, home was like a war zone sometimes. Abuse sucks). I started to learn about witchcraft and living life with intention.
Living with intention, sounds like something my therapist would recommend so I thought I’d try it. Started to bless my bath water or tea, for good vibes or calming energy. And idk the routine, the focusing, the magic of it, helped me see that there might be good in the world. I just have to find it.
So I started studying even more. Wiccan? No not quite. Pagan? I don’t know. I just like practicing intention and seeing the magic in the world come alive.
I started to set my space with intention (cottage/hearth witch!). When I moved in with my fiancé, finally leaving my parents house and their abuse, he really enjoyed letting me be “fully out of the closet” and seeing me in my element.
I try to always make my home a safe space, I refuse to live in another war zone. And witchcraft helps me do that and feel good about it. It helps me see the good in the world and the magic of nature. I always had a curiosity for all things magical, but religious fear and trauma held me back. And now it feels like I’m truly and finally completely myself:)
So the second category, but not for lack of interests, just uhhh living in Texas lol

I loved that video when it came out and I'm so glad you're sharing the love for it. To answer your question, I feel a little in both camps of emotions on discovering witchcraft. I had deprogramming to do from my previous religion, so I had both the feeling of "this is what I've been doing all along" as well as "this is what a genuine spiritual experience feels like" because I'd been suppressing my emotions about my own workings for a long time.
I'm strongly first category. My relationship to the energy of places was so formative to my development and I loved it.
I love your "bloopers" at the end of most of your videos.
I am a male witch following Wiccan beliefs...but, I fall in the area of when, as a solitary witch, I felt like I have been a witch for most of my life before I ever thought about actually saying I am a witch...also, when I did say I am a witch I felt like thru searching for something even being raised in a Christian home.....being Wiccan felt familiar...this video makes a lot of sense and it is interesting to know that I found being a witch was something that was going to happen eventually...(if that makes sense...)....thank you for this video...(just a bit of something of a personal note, Raymond Buckland is like a "Spirit" mentor to me since I read that Raymond Buckland was the first male witch in the US...even the Buckland museum was kind enough to follow me on Instagram...)...again, excellent video,...thank you for this informative video...(and even I have heard of of Thorn Mooney and have one of her books "The Witch's Path"....excellent video)....💜
The first one for me. I realized as a kid when I was have repetitive nightmares that I could use lucid dreaming to help move them along. Eventually they all stopped and I continued to practice without realizing! Now that I'm older I understand what I was doing was witchcraft
When I was a child I took my "tools" (kitchen knife, bowl, and whatever was available to me) and would go in my play house in the back yard and practice blessing them. My mom would come ask me what I was doing, and she never had a problem with it. She would take us on trips and we would collect crystals and even rocks from nature. I think she was a low key practitioner because she had a witch statue she kept by her bed for as long as I was alive, and she bought me my own. There were always besoms in the house on the walls. We have Czech-Slovakian in our background and always keep a "kitchen witch" in our kitchen window. All of these things are very special to me because I eventually found witch craft in its entirety as an adult.
I am number 2 .was raised in an independent fundamental baptist home. I always felt like something was missing in my life. I started out studying past life's and I got into witchcraft. My uncle, I never met, was a practitioner. I bought a witchcraft spell book and started practicing. I started watching video of witches this channel, the witch of wonderlust mystic dylan and more that was 3 months ago. I am still practicing.

I’m right between the two categories. I was always a rather inventive and imaginative child, always playing make believe games with my friends (being princesses, heroes, vampires, witches). At the same time, discovering witchcraft felt like getting new glasses after waiting for too long - suddenly everything looks different, and clear in a different way.
One of my earliest memories is sitting outdoors, laying a little stone circle out of tiny stones and laying flowers inside. It was calming and strangely fulfilling (?). I only really understood much later what witchcraft is and how what i did as a child fit into it. So definitely category 1 for me.
All the stories in the comments are heartwarmingly positive. It's fun to read everyone's stories discovering witchcraft :D
I am definitely the first category, as I have done "witchy" things all my life and never knew it as such. Everything just came to a full circle when I discovered witchcraft and just fell into place naturally.

I definitely fall into the first category. I was lucky to have a family that had alot of gifts on both sides and was taught little bits although they were primarily Christian and I had some sort of deep knowing. When I was about 13 I found witchcraft through old school Tumblr and I've been actively studying ever since. I found you a few years back now and wow you have just made everything make so much more sense, with all the different Wiccan and pagan opinions in books/articles/forums you really helped tie everything together. Seriously thank you so much for the knowledge, I can watch other people's "witchcraft Q+A" videos and answer every question now lol.
Definitely the first category.
As a kid I would write recipes for potions (in the way a child would ofc), leave tiny notes in the wind for what I called "something bigger", collect stones, find connections between moon phases and some events of my life, and I was at my highest in nature.
I was raised as a Christian cause that's what's expected in Italy, but my parents were never particularly religious and luckily I had the possibility to explore my practice

Something has come full circle with your reaction video. I don't own a television because I don't have time to watch. UA-cam videos have become my entertainment. I can watch short or long videos as time allows. Not sure why or how she came up on my algorithm, but Thorn was the first magical practitioner I watched which is how I found you, Hearth. And, I had read all of Phyllis Curott's books back in the early 2000s. I fall into "early in life" camp. On a trip, my dad gave me and my siblings pocket money. They bought souvenirs, I bought incense and an incense burner 😉
I would say I fall inte the first category, to an extent. I used symbols and conections and did some minor rituals before even reflecting over witchcraft. My click moment acctually came on a 8th grade science class talking about how everything is energy and that energy can’t be created or destroyd - but changed and transfered. My mind started racing with the idea of what potential this could have beyond the physical world and messurable sorts of energy…
I had no access to information beyond a book on crystals and a tarotdeck and after some time i fell out of the practice, though always still having my crystals near and turning to them now and again when I felt the need to.
Now I have come back to the craft and have learned so much more and expanded my understanding so much the past few Months than I ever did in my teens. Much thanks to youtube videos like yours. 🙏🏻✨ Thank you Hearth for your brilliant content. 🥰

Another informative and lovely video! I am still a fledgling in the wiccan/witchcraft path because of prioritizing school and earning my second degree but I felt like I had been doing witchcraft all my life so I would say I would fall into the first category you mentioned. Since i was young I always had a sense of being watched and am able to feel energies. I have also had and still do have premonition dreams since the age of 7 so I deal with alot of Dejavu in my life. I would always collect rocks, cut grass with scissors like collecting herbs, finding certain sticks, and of course "making potions" with things I found in the cupboards such as shampoo, toothpaste, the grass clippings, rocks I found, shaving cream, and also put in my small toys as an offering. As I grew older my fascination of the occult grew with my love of Halloween and I became more interested in this chosen religion for the benefits it could provide me with gaining more empowerment into myself and having better confidence when I found out what this actually was.

I also fall into that first category, I was always doing intuitive little spells and things as a kid. I spent as much time as I possibly could in my backyard mixing potions and messing around with my neighborhood plants. My mom had this big rock wall garden set up with plants growing all over it, and I used that pretty much as a primitive altar without knowing what to call it. I had special rocks I used for grinding and cutting up plants, and wands and staves made from my favorite maple trees branch falls. 100% I have always been an earth witch. It was so great to realize what it really was and be able to research other people's practices, the internet has helped immensely, as well as moving to college and meeting one of my best friends who openly practiced, and made me little spells bags from time to time. I'm so happy I found your channel as well, it has given me such a bigger perspective on witchcraft in general and the variety of ways in which other people practice, and how it's okay to be a solitary non religious witch if that's what feels right!! ♥️🖤✨ Love to you, and Anthony for all you do!
At school I Always Knew I was so different from my peer group, one of them saw me with my cat and called me a witch the next day, it got around school and I was bullied because of it, but i stood by and was proud of who I am.

Second category. I really got into it when I was YouTubing how to read tarot because I was a beginner and assumed that there must be a structure to it like everything else I've ever learned. (I was still in high school at the time and *SPOILER ALERT:* there is *no* structure for reading tarot!) As I was trying to research this, I stumbled across witchy UA-cam channels and learned some basics like Hearth's energy sensing and her centering and grounding techniques. I found so many witch channels that I loved the style of and they all pretty much say the same things, but have slightly different ideas and views on the same topics. Seeing all these differences really help me in finding out what I believe in my practice and I thank Hearth as well as The Witch of Wonderlust, Anita Sirene, The Chaotic Witch Aunt, The Warrior Witch, and Mystic Rainn for sharing all their wonderful knowledge and helping me currently find my practice.
When I found witchcraft it clicked and I’ve realized what I can do. Finding witchcraft was finding my balance. I am a Solitary mage and I worship and work with deities and my ancestors. I refuse to follow another human/man made religion with my spiritual path. Witchcraft helped me realize that it can be something beautiful and strong, something special I can create myself between deities & my ancestors. Witchcraft helped me find an independence that I needed but for so long I didn’t realize I needed it. I was a slave to the Christian religion and nothing made sense, now everything just clicks💚

Interesting, I am not a witch in any capacity, as I identify mostly as a Druid, but in watching your videos (and Thorns), there are many alignments. As an independent Druid (similar to an independent practitioner). I am not much invested in the group aspects of my spiritual practice. Thank you for these great videos ;). I learn so much about witches and wiccans from really good sources.

Anthony exhibits quite a few attributes that I wish I had starting out as a witch… He has this effortlessness about the way he connects to his own intuition, and is willing to trust it without worrying that he’s made any wrong choices. I don’t see any judgement or apprehension in the way he speaks, just an open heart and a clear intention. I’m honestly kinda jealous…! xD
Damn, I think Anthony has a natural talent for this, his choices were all very intuitive and even if they did it 'by the book' a lot of his choices would have been 'correct'!
I fell in the second type of person, raised Christian..believed in that...than Christianity didn't feel quite right for me (too closed minded and controlling myself speaking of course) and i became agnostic. After many years i discovered withcraft and find that so many years of my life i was empathic, knowing things that even the other person didn't know themself (and not much time after discovering withcraft i found your channel and subscribed to it...shhh). If my english is not quite well is because i'm tired today and not my first language (i'm from italy).
@@MoonlitBookworm73 Well honestly i got interested in witchcraft after watching some paranormal videos while here where i live we were in lockdown for covid so i don't have nothing to do ine the evening. in one of those videos i saw a witch called Patti Negri and immediately felt like home like witchcraft was my all life path, that all of those experiences that i had found a meaning and a reason..every dot started to connect...starting from there (two years ago) i began to research on the topic of witchcraft and started my journey..bought my first three books (psychic witch, The Inner Temple of Witchcraft and Old World Magick for the modern World) and from then day after day i feel the connection with Mother Hearth and my Psychic Mind getting stronger and stronger...i'm still not into deities or nothing like that for now...just me and my Higher Self at the moment.
From what i can tell you i't not important what you believe...you is and will always be you and all of use are a light in this world of darkness...if you felt drawn to this path try it...maybe you will continue maybe you drop it but at least you tried something new that can resonate with you and your energy...
first category ..all my life even in childhood
14:32 I’ve always felt a connection to wicca/witchcraft, but grew up in an unreligious household (we weren’t atheists, we just didn’t do anything) so I never seriously pursued it until recently. I’ve gotten herbs/crystals and divination tools through the years since i was young but only last month got my second tarot deck. it’s a mix of the both for me, a longing connection yet looked at the world around.

So I’m in the group of “doing stuff your whole life” however it became clear that I was a witch around my Saturn return. I was playing with oracle cards and Boom all of a sudden, I knew what I was and had a clear understanding of what a witch was.
As for the rule of 3 many people may not follow it, but let’s be honest how many of us at the very least have a soft spot for the number 3 ? I know I do 😂

I'm a secular witch, and I view magic as simply making and finding meaning. The actions I take to make or find meaning, and when I discover meaning in the natural world - that's "magic" to me.
I fall in to the first category. When I finally realized what I am, things made SO much sense. I understood why I felt compelled to do certain things a certain way, why I was so interested and drawn to certain things, etc. I felt like I was living my life with a heavy blanket over my head and once I realized what was happening the blanket was finally ripped off and I could see. I love being a witch so very much
I fall into the first category. I have always had prophetic dreams and I used to be able to put myself into a trance, although now I just fall asleep. I did energy work and have always been attracted to alternative healing methods and did some tarot reading when I was younger. When I discovered Wicca several months ago, everything fell into place and I feel like I was reborn.
I definitely was one who felt like I discovered a name for something that I had always believed and already practiced. ❤
I'm of the second category. Mostly. I did have some weird feelings as a kid about places and that they held power. I used them more as fuel for my make-believe and most of my childhood was spent in fantasies of magic. I was so good at visualisation that I could convince myself an object was really there and then forget I just imagined it. It lead to some confusing moments where I was like "wait, didn't I have one of those somewhere?" and my mom had to tell me that I never had one. The one thing I kept trying was to visualize light to use as a flashlight in a dark room. It didn't work if I didn't know exactly where everything was of course... At some point I became a science and tech nerd, rejected all my wonderful fantasies and became a devout atheist. I rejected all spirituality and religion for myself (though I was respectful of other people's beliefs as long as they didn't use it to justify bigotry or worse). But then hard times came and I turned to witchcraft to help me cope and that leaves me here: a proud beginner witch at the beginning of my wonderful journey to explore the world through new eyes!
Would love to see you react to a “ghost hunting” or psychic video! I feel like that’s a huge community on UA-cam, and so often, witchcraft or the symbols found at locations get vilified or are misunderstood

I never grew up in witch craft didn’t even know it was a thing even. But ever since I was little I’ve been interested in the Greek deities, they seemed real. One day I stumbled upon this magic shop were you could make talismans, get tarot cards, etc… i ended up buying a book on Greek deity magic an the rest was history. I was hooked it felt real and made sense to me. I started looking into witchcraft after that.

I recently hit a burnout from work badly and while in recovery I rediscovered my love of ancient mythology. I was struck by Athena's story so much that she is actually the first artwork in a new collection im working on! I feel when im sketching ideas im incredibly inspired by these deities, it's actually become super easy to just flow with ideas. Im convinced it's a spiritual experience. Love this.
I fall into the first category. When i was a child, I prefered spending time outdoors. As I grew up, I became interested in the occult and Eastern religeons. As an adult, I discovered that my family(on my mother's side) was gifted. My understaning didn't come into focus until I was told I am a natural Empath. One thing I've realized in the short few months I've been doing witchcraft is that one of the most important things it does for me is forcing me to think about what I want in life. I can feel something is wrong or missing in my life. I can use a spell to change my life for the better but only if I know what I'm trying to change. That made it a very good extension to my therapy as well.
I'm like you, I realized everything I did in life was extremely witchy. I always felt off and not right until I became a witch. I was a christen and on the church counsel, so it's been a very interesting ride for me. I have only been doing this for about a year now.

First.
Always had a feeling about things and drawn to crystals, herbs
I definitely had an innate feeling growing up. I remember after it would rain I would grab sticks and leaves and mix it into the rainwater that gathered in a small wagon and then I'd grab a stick and run and dance in my yard. During full moons I would go outside barefoot and run and feel the moonlight's energy. Then, in therapy, I was introduced to meditation and eventually could feel the Earth's energies around me. Then, in my senior year of high school (I think I was 17 or 18) I started researching witchcraft after being atheist for a long time, looking up to Neil DeGrasse Tyson and having an astrophysics phase. I think I was searching for a universal connection.
Also when I was about 4 or 5 one of our trees in our yard got sick and I hugged it and cried and begged my parents to get a tree doctor
I am in the 1st. I was drawn even as a child and teenager. Once I got older I started researching and also found out information about the gifts as my cousin called it when she told me about different things. I continued to research and try to learn over the years on and off but did not start practicing until about 3 yrs ago at 46. That is thanks in part to me meeting my man and he was very open and encouraged me. His daughter is a practicing witch for years and he knows several others.
I work with Sigils, but for me a sigil spell is a piece of artwork, and I don't burn them. I put so much energy into the sigil creating it as art and then I will continue to fill it with energy and let it work. When I am done with it. I paint over it when it is done, or I am out of space on my alter and create a new one on top of the old ones. This is my alter. I have a table that has layer upon layer of sigil art on it, and just because I have painted over some of it, as I continue to feel the top layer with energy the bottom layers continue to work their magick for me as I invest time in the alter. It is my only craft as far as my practice is concerned. The best part is that when people come into my space, and they see my alter they have no idea that 1. It is an altar and 2. what any of it means. I could have a spell working that is against someone who is doing me harm, and they could come into my home and not even know that table they are sitting at is a magickal alter, or that the cauldron cup I served them tea or coffee in is one of my cauldrons, and the chop stick looking stir stick is my wand. Everyone who knows me knows I am a quirky one, with a wicked dark sense of humor, so no one would question any of that!
This helped me soooo much!!! I've spent half a lifetime trying to make a connection to wicca and still be Catholic. Now I see Catholicism as having it's own correspondences within its realm. Wicca has it's own realm. The realm of nature. There are different realms with different associations. One can practice in many different realms that they feel drawn too. Like the "sikh" religion practices muslem and Hindu both. I feel a great weight lifted. No more conflict. Finally peace!!!
I'm currently practicing mainly as a druid/greenwitch/Buddhist but grew up in a very strict baptist Christian household church and school. I was always out in the forest behind my house where I made my own garden and would sleep to recharge in the moss by the creek. I spent most of my time there because being in the house meant unpleasant times. I never liked a guilt based religion and was tired of being told I was bad all the time when I felt like I hadn't actually done anything and there was no payoff for "being good" besides acceptance by the church because you were conforming to them. After denying the existence of magic but practicing energy work and meditation to improve anxiety and sleep over the years, I finally decided to embrace my love of spells the outdoors and my cat familiar that found me. This was last year and my only regret is that I didn't start being myself sooner.

I feel like the second category applies to me better
I fall into the first category. I've always felt something within me, different, strong intuition etc. But I'm 50 years old and it only clicked into place for me 2 years ago. I think most practicing witches would reply it was the first option for them, too. There is energy and magic in every single person, plant, rock. Once you recognise that and embrace it, life makes so much more sense and is more fulfilling 🥰
I definitely fall into the second category
Second category for me. I always felt drawn to this vague something, i always felt like there was more than the mundane and I've always sensed energy, i just didn't know what any of it was and i felt a bit stranded bc none of the religions and beliefs i knew of felt right. And then i found witchcraft and it just made sense. I found what I'd been looking for and i was like: "Yep, this is it. This is what i want, this is what feels right, this is what I'm doing, forever. I found it." It was like something switched in my life. There was before witchcraft and now there is during. I don't think there will be an after.
I found Wicca when I realized what I could do with it so very much the second category. I grew up fallen away Catholic but by the time I was 14-15 years of age I felt lost and started down a more agnostic path. I researched tons of religions from all over the globe and was gently guided over to Wicca via some friends when I was about 17. I have been practicing Wicca ever since (7 years eclectically and for the past 12 years Norse Wicca).
Category 2, when I found it in Middle school it was like I awakened something but at the time, my mum was terrified of it (she's not anymore) and I re-found it in highschool and it was that feeling all over again
I absolutely fall into the first category, as well! I knew I was different, but didn't realize that there was a name for what I was doing until I was handed my first book on Witchcraft in my freshman year of high school. Honestly, it felt like coming home for me, I have no other way to put it.
I definitely have done it my whole life without realizing it. When I started practicing witchcraft and paganism. It felt like coming home.
I was the first. I grew up a Hispanic catholic but whenever my family would do a rosary and we would prepare an altar with candles and repeat the prayers in cycle it always felt to me like I was doing a spell. I have also always been a vivid dreamer and have been drawn to magic but the church pushed me away from it. I am now starting to learn more and have begun my journey with witchcraft and I feel more free than ever
The first for me as well... I always knew I was different, feeling nature and things around me in ways no one understood. My dreams would come true, I could tell if someone was not right, candles relaxed me and the moon enticed me. Being raised in a very christian home this was all seen as evil so I kept my experiences to myself untill I finally broke free and now I am a witch 😌
I am the first one. practicing and study for over 50 years.
I'm in camp 1.5 . I was an arm chair occultist for years and years. Finally something clicked like a different camera lense snapping into place and I realized I had been doing this my entire life and I gave myself permission to embrace it openly.
Hey Hearth! I was wondering if you could do a video talking about the loss of a pet and how to keep communication open with their spirit. Such as planting a tree with their ashes or making an alter for them. I just lost my German shepherd and am struggling with how I can continue to have a strong relationship with her
