I visited Glastonbury for the first time in May last year because of your vlogs and it's the most magical place in the world 😍 The Chalice Well is now my favourite place on earth. Thank you so much for inspiring me to visit (just booked my 3rd visit for May 😂)
In case anyone is looking for the artist of the hare shirt- it is Karen Cater (no r). She also wrote a book on hare myth x
I can’t find her online or Etsy… any link possibly?
Huzzah!
And yes please to a tithe barn vid, with witch marks.
Pink and green, yay! I was drawn to that color combination for years, especially for my eyeshadow and I'd really feel like wearing it on Fridays. I later (once I had a spiritual awakening and achieved sobriety) found out through reading that those colors are both closely associated with Venus. 🌿🍃✨🩷💚🩷💚🌬️🌀🌌
Yay !!! Hello Hearth...I've been waiting for a video on your trip to Glastonbury !!! I'm commenting before I even watch it. Making some hot chocolate and getting comfortable to watch and it's a long video...even better !!! Thank you..sending best wishes from NYC 😊 Hope you are well as we step into 2023 🎆
Hi... I'm Peter , wanted to thank you. Started learning about the arts. Like what you say . The way you say it.
I brought my first book . Plain on getting more articles. Will continue watching your teachings
I'm watching this with an Amazon page open to add books to my wish list! Trying to convince my partner we need a trip to Glastonbury ❤
I'm in love with this whole video! Thank you for sharing! 🫶✨🕯️
Great vid Hearth! So interesting and makes me even more eager to get to Glastonbury some day. Really appreciate your content, I find it incredibly grounding when I need a calm voice to help me focus on mundane tasks.
I’ve been to all of the shops you mentioned. I love Labyrinth bookshop and Sons of Asgard. Every time I go into Starchild I pick up on a very negative vibe. I do love their astrological candles though. I really enjoyed this vlog x
Those playing/tarot cards are so cute! Thank you for sharing :)
I loved seeing your haul. So many great books that I will have to keep an eye out for. On a side note - I love your earrings!
Thank you for your recommendations, I love the little goddess so ordered 1.
Just picked up the Astrea Taylor Air Magic, plus the Earth, Fire, and Water magic books from the series. Thank you so much for sharing. Cheers
I love the dinivination playing cards thank you, gonna get these! ✨💗✨
Yay I love your book hauls/reviews
LOVED this video, thank you!
I really appreciate your channel. Intelligent and thorough. Thank you!
I live in the US. But, I bought lots of books and cards from The Goddess and The Greenman. I collect art cards to use on my altar seasonally. They support many witch artists.
Something that is always on my list to really work with and connect to is the trees of the Celtic ogham so I love the trees perfumes I definitely so try to find some of these. With spring coming soon I think it will be the perfect time to start. I would have not thought of this product if you hadn’t found them and shared. So many of these books 📚 sound lovely and interesting reads.
Ann Moura’s Green Witch tarot is really great 👍
I have read the paperback copy of the witches cabinet by corrine boyer. It is currently the only one I own from this author. I have had an interest in the gnome grimoire for several months as I adore gnomes, the spirits, and have begun working with them from time to time as it takes considerable time to form a relationship and bond. I have the illuminated tarot, which I purchased from a small local metaphysical shop. I do not use them for cartomancy as much as my royal mischief playing deck (Patrick Valenza).
Fantastic video, I have been waiting for this video to come out. I am happy that you enjoyed your visit to Glastonbury and found some wonderful treasures there.
Thank you for your content!
I live part time in Glastonbury and yes the stairs in speaking tree are so steep even worse if you have a heavy weight staffy pulling you down lol. Great video and thanks for sharing ❤
Thanks Hearth, for introducing me to Roger Horne and his 4 book series on folk witchcraft. I had no Idea folk witchcraft included so many intuitive practices that have been lost or overlooked. I have read about folk practices and traditional witchcraft before, eg The Crooked Path and other books, but never with this much information. Just got a kindle book and samples of the other 3 which I might prefer in paperback!
I would love to one day go to Glastonbury. In the meantime, I'll just live vicariously through your vlogs :p
I really appreciate the way you present your content__fullbodied with intention for 'crafting' with caring and respect for the craft itself as well as, for the varied forms of practice. 🙏💖
Thoroughly enjoyed this podcast__all the quaint bookshops. I wish we had that here in Southern California__I much prefer perusing through a physical shop than online. I mean, we do have Barnes and Noble but that's about it these days. 😢
I, too, prefer hardcovers over paperback, for the same reason. Many moons ago I worked in a bookbindary in various departments of the makings, even stacking them on the skids for the forklifts. I mostly enjoyed 'dressing the books in their jackets' because sometimes we could read the inside covers and sneak a few peeks through the books that looked interesting. 😺
Anyway, all the books from your first pile are of interest as well as, the Anne Moura books, the Druid Divinations, and the last two hardcovers you showed. And though I haven't worked with Tarot (only, Oracle) decks I, absolutely, LOVE the Sorceress card deck__MUST get them! As teens my sister and I used to work with regular playing cards, don't even remember how/where we learned that but, for the life of me, do not recall them now__that's why ''The Illuminated Tarot" is on my wishlist, too!
On a whole other note, LOVE the earrings, eyeshadow, and your nail polish!
Thanks for sharing all the "goodies"!
Almost forgot__I have an affinity toward trees, would you point me in the direction of the info re: trees according to [your] birthday? 🙏💖
Love, Light, and Witchy Blessings. 😇✨💫🌱🌿🌻🐝🌳🌎💖😺
Great video!! Thanks!!
Scott Cunningham! Just finished 2nd read of Scared sleep. I really like that book.. Quite accessible and definitely want to read more of his work especially about herbs.
Scared sleep 😮😱
I have the air magic book and I love it!
I was looking at the sin eater book too. Sounds so interesting
Unfortunately, I have not yet visited England (it's on my to-do list). However, I thought this excellent informative video was well presented by you, so thank you! Also, the items you mentioned that I am interested in are: "Tarot Of The Sorceress", Dripping and Zodiac candles, herbs, tree oils, and "The Witches Cabinet" book. Again, thanks!😇♥
I also have that book by W.B. Yeats and I absolutely love it!
Thanks Hearth, wish I could have been there with you, Glastonbury sounds amazing (our local Glastonbury in CT, not so much... lol).
Ssooooooo much books in 1 day!! O.O
19:16 bonus points if the shirt is 3 sizes too big
I notice that most colors have a another color that clashes with others, especially when learning interior design, I learned the color wheel and different color schemes, but none of them included my favorite combo of green and purple, unless you added orange to make a secondary triad color scheme, but I still thought the 2 alone looked gorgeous together, so I experimented and put green up against all other colors, and i realized that because green appears with all other colors in nature due to different flower/plant hues, green goes with everything. it is basically the closest to neutral of the non-neutral colors, followed by blue because of the beauty of many coral reef and fish colors under the sea. These 2 colors appear in nature the most, so it makes sense that they can go with everything. I am actually not surprised pink and green go together, even if green wasn't as universal because pink is a shade of red and red is on the opposite side of the color wheel, making it a complimentary color scheme. also, in nature, think of watermelon, or all the pink flowers with green leaves like azaleas, pink roses/carnations/etc. it does make sense:)
Beautiful earrings!
I need those earrings!!!
When you mentioned Yeats, I squealed, and started singing Yeats Grave.
My 2 favourite shops in Glastonbury are sons of Asgard and courtyard books
I have Roger J. Horne's Folk Witchcraft book and it is one on my favorite, I also advice it. I am interested in the books about the little people and natural spirits presented in this list. I should buy Ann Moura's one. Magic of the Other World is so fascinating !
I have all Anne Moura books. They are a great resource. Slanted towards Wiccian style witchcraft, but she is a heritage witch. Her instructions are clear, and has a usable ethical stance. I actually use her Grim. In my rituals. Logical.
Lovely vid Hearth thank you. I would like to know how you get on with the Welsh divination book in particular.
Can you make a video of ur top 10 or 20 favorite Witchy Books? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Thankyou for another wonderful video hearth do u have a video on storm and chaos magic or point me in the right direction as I’m Interested in this xx
I’d love to see a more in depth video on Tarot of the Sorceress. I just got it and would love to see your take.
I live in the U.S , seems to me witchcraft is more accessible in England, more acceptable, some day I'd love to visit there ❤, Thank you for this video
i always purchase my stuff from star child Glastonbury online , a really good shop. my daughter bought me a fantastic book Fairy Magic , by Aurora Kane. love your channel thank you Hearth..blessings
I really would like to buy the witching tree. But it's really expensive here in the netherlands and almost sold out everywhere. I will be on the look out.
Great items! I would love to visit Glastonbury! When you mention working with the spirits of the herbs what exactly do you mean? How do you do that?
I love witchcraft as well and learning all I can. I live in America, and I am a closet witch right now cuz unfortunately my perints who I live with are Christians, so they condemn it, but I can't wait to be out of the closet and expand my journey
Hey Hearth, I'll be visiting Glastonbury this year. Do you have any recommendations for date/ time of year to go? I'm most interested in the witchy side of things 🔮
I couldn’t take my eyes off your beautiful earring and the way it danced in the light. Are you able to share where you got it from?
They’re from River Island ☺️
@@HearthWitch Ha! Not the answer I was expecting, thanks.
As Galinda (pre-Glinda) said “Pink goes good with green”
Is that UV nail polish you are wearing? It's so pretty!
I've been told that there is a fairly large witch community in Thetford when I lived in Brandon. This was about 15 years ago and I wasn't a practicing witch back then. If you do go to Thetford, please, let us know or film your experience. For no other reason than the absorption of knowledge, I'm still really angry with myself for not going there when I lived in England. Help a sister out and let me live vicariously through you.
Great content hearth don't go to Salem you will need a second mortgage..its huge there as are the shops..lol..blessings from Devon 🌛🌕🌜🧹
Playing cards to be used for divination, eh? Reminds me of a song by Sting called Shape of My Heart. If you don't know about it, it's worth a listen to. It was featured in the movie Leon: The Professional
Yeah.. the minor arcana set of cards in tarot cards came from the standard playing cards. So wands is clubs ♣️ Cups are Hearts ♥️ Swords are Spades ♠️ and Pentacles are Diamonds ♦️
😊✌💗
I’m Dutch, I can read Dutch! Very interested to read some stuff in Dutch for once in stead of English.
❤Magical practises❤
I use scribd for a lot of my witchcraft books. The subscription is definitely worth it. There are so many good witch and folk books there/ even some pdfs of hard to find or more expensive books!
@B,
Thanks for the tip. 💖🙌😺
What would be the best day to have a day trip to Glastonbury?
Please create a good self love spell to use often :)
What about Dion Fortune - Glastonbury: the Avalon of the Heart? 😉
are there any books 0n spirit keeping, haunted dolls and objects etc?
just subscribed ......
🌿💖✨
Also where do I buy your merch ? Xx
Just watching your new video now new sub I'm from England I'm learning about paganism and building a altar table and knitting rabbit skin for my cloth and altar I have some nice crystals I got for Christmas and I'm looking for snake skin for my cork jar and red deer antlers for my wall and animal jawbone so I can do some burning on it I could put some pagan symbols on it or Germanic like Viking runes on the bone
Another of these books are hard to find I like to have an ebook of these ones
Do you know where to get these in ebooks
Love your earrings ,Hearth
Do any of the bookstores on the high street ship internationally ?
Or when there is a Occult store in the neighborhood, the Christians don't want it to be there....they start whining, bitching about it & protesting ...eventually driving the owner /owners out of business
Your comment about the Hawthorn tree has confused me, I thought Gemini was the star sign that is link to it?
As far as I'm aware Hawthorne covers from May 13th - June 9th, it may be that different books have different dates but it will cover two-star signs depending on your birthday.
That's in Ireland right or Scottish
#Awesome sauce
I got a Harry Potter playing deck no major but it is helping my with reading playing cards decks
