    Watching this from the UK, waiting every day for the travel ban to end so I can meet my boyfriend for the first time. I'm crying seeing the walk into arrivals with everyone waiting for their loved ones, I know when it's my turn I'll be a blubbing wreck after such a long wait! Thank you for posting this so I can more clearly imagine it in my daydreams

    What about luggage on connecting flights? After you have picked up your luggage, do you have to put it on another belt or follow the "connecting flights" signs with your luggage?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 місяці тому +1

      On the video, just after you pick up your luggage, you walk down a short hall (as seen at timestamp 15:30 ) and at this point you will either turn right if Atlanta is your final destination, or you will turn left where you will re-check your luggage in a small little area and go back through a small dedicated security checkpoint to catch your connecting flight.

    Hi dear youtuber, already thank you for this video, I thinking and I hope than this will can help us, my boy friend and I, because i've alfraid of lost us, in the airport Atlanta, after our travel from France... where is the officer of the CBP, where are ours luggage sute case...

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  3 роки тому

      In this video I call it “Passport Control” but it is the same thing as Immigrations/Customs/CBP. This is where you will find the CBP agents. They do not allow filming in this area but at 12:54 you can see me begin to enter the CBP area. After you meet with the CBP you will immediately go to where you pick up your luggage. You cannot get lost between CBP and luggage/baggage claim because after CBP it’s the only direction you are allowed to walk.

    Hello Brian. Ive been watching your connecting flights videos of ATL airport in under to understand how I need to move and I think I have understood now. I will have an international arrival flight soon at ATL without baggage (just carry on) with a domestic flight connection. Based on this video after I pass customs I will need to go thru the left door (connecting flights) in order ro carry on with my domestic flight. Do I have to pass again a security point for domestic connecting flights? Or, Just go thru the plane train in order to get to the assigned gate at the “x” concourse? . Im flying with DELTA. Thanks for the explanation.

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 роки тому

      You are correct on where to go. You will go through a different security area after turning left but it is typically not crowded. You will then be able to access the plane train.

    Brian, I have two questions. First, at the end of the video, when you are exiting the airport from the International Terminal, there is a sign which reads, "Hotel/Shared Ride Shuttles." Is this a shuttle bus that transports travelers to Ground Transportation at the Domestic Terminal?
    Second, in your opinion, if one has luggage, what is the best way to get from the International Terminal to the Airport Area Hotel Shuttle meeting spot at Ground Transportation, Domestic Terminal?
    Thanks for your helpful videos!

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  3 роки тому +1

      Since international passengers coming into Atlanta cannot access secured areas (such as the SkyTrain) at the Airport after they pick up their luggage at the International Terminal baggage claim, there is a connector shuttle service to carry passengers between the International Terminal, the Domestic Terminal, and the Rental Car Center. The shuttle takes approximately 15 minutes to go from one terminal to the other. At the Domestic Terminal it drops you off at the west end of the terminal where most ground transportation options are available or accessible. The shuttle is free and operates 24 hours a day.
      This video that you are commenting on actually had more footage that I cut during editing. We actually boarded the connector shuttle. I have posted an unlisted video for you (or anyone else who come across this post) showing the extra footage of us walking from International Baggage Claim to the connector shuttle. In my opinion it is the only real option to get there. The link to 4-minute video is ua-cam.com/video/EjXZttU1DQY/v-deo.html

    For connecting flight to join an other airport in the us with delta, do you need to join the domestic terminal to recheck you bagages, re pass security and then join your concourse or there is recheck counters in the International terminal for all contecting flight including domestic flights ?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 роки тому

      If you’ll look at around the 15:35 timestamp of the video - You exit the international baggage claim area and immediately turn left. After turning left there will be a place to re-check your bag and then you’ll be screened by security again and admitted to the domestic part of the airport so you can catch your next flight.

      After rechecking the bags just outside of international baggage claim, you are just redirected back into the secure area of the airport with access to the other concourses and the plane train. It’s not complex at all

    • @ganymedes62
      @ganymedes62 2 роки тому

      I’ve had times when I walked straight through with no waiting (maybe 3 to 5 minutes total). I’ve also had times it’s took about 35 minutes. The determining factor is how many other international flights are arriving at the same time as yours.

      If you look at around time point 15:25 in the video after you pick up your baggage, you will head to the left after exiting the doors. This will lead you to airline counters where you’ll re-check your baggage and then go to your next flight. So Brian I Just Have One Quick Question , So How Does The Passport Control Work ? What Do They Ask/Do ?

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 роки тому +1

      While they don't always do or ask the same thing, from my experience they will look at your passport and verify that it is your passport. They will sometimes ask particular questions about where you've been, if you have anything to declare such as alcohol, tobacco, large sums of money, etc. Sometimes they may ask about your travel plans (such as when you are returning to your home country if you are not from the USA.)

    Hi Brian, I just commented on another video and I have a question for this one. If I meet my fiancee at this airport after she clears customs, am I allowed to go to the international luggage claim area to help her carry her luggage and go to the connecting flight? I don't know if I am allowed in the area since I am not coming in on an international flight.

    • @bozy106

    I thought the quality was good, but I do feel this could have been shorter. Too many moments of walking. It’s easy enough to imagine “your walking/transition/ you end walking”. But everyone else seemed to get a lot out it, so who am I to say.

    • @bozy106
      @bozy106  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the quality comment! When I first started doing these videos I was kinda torn about posting the full walking trip. I too felt like it made it long, but I reflected on when I first started flying and how intimidating airports were. Before a trip I would watch every video there was to familiarize myself with the process and airport. Once I posted a few of the full length walking videos I began to get many comments from novice travelers who said that they somewhat helped ease their anxiety. This is why I try to gear my videos to the novice travelers with the full journey and a few tips along the way. Thanks for the view and comment!
