Great video, thank you very much, I found it to be very informative, as I'm planning to go to Baja, fall/winter and spring of 2025/26 (for starter). One thing which was not mentioned, when you talk of $$ are you using our loonies and twonies ? Cdn or US funds. Yes I've been following your page while you were in Baja and this week's video simply summed it up in a great way. Hope to see you out there...😁

Hi! In the list of 5 things to bring before crossing the border, we talked about pesos. That's the Mexican currency and we were able to pay for everything with it. Some places happily took USD, but gave change in pesos which doesn't always turn out to be a good exchange rate.

Thanks for doing the cost breakdown and at home comparison. Eating out was definitely a bigger cost for us in Baja but experiencing the culture through food was worth it (plus we were still under our monthly budget).

Yeah definitely, we don't usually eat out a lot, but we couldn't resist with all the awesome things to try there. What was your favorite?

So how is Wyatt and their owners Doug and Sue? Man, that's such a good tip about putting the beach balls.

You're right, we didn't include an update on our friends managing Tunkwa! They are well and preparing for a wonderful winter south where we hope we will meet up with them again.

My wife and I enjoy watching your channel. Its nice having someone close to where we live in BC travel observations. We think you have given us the courage to try a Baja adventure. We have a choice to go between Feb - March or March - April for 2 months. We want to see the whales between Feb 15 and March 15 as we enjoy whale watching. We are in a 32FT Class A with a dog so we don't want it too hot . We watched all your videos but couldn't figure out the time you went into Baja except you started before Christmas. Do you any suggestions ?

The weather is perfect in Feb/Mar. We were there from Dec-April and had beautiful weather. Warm sunny days (but not too hot) and cool nights. Definitely go see the whales! Whale Magic in Guerrero Negro does a great tour and would be more accessible with a class A than San Ignacio.

Thank you so much for sharing in such detail. I hope to do this trip sometime in the next couple of years and you have taken a lot of the time consuming planning and details I would normally study myself for hours on end before hand! Thank you!

Also I’m Canadian so it’s super neat to see this broken down in Canadian dollars and comparing the cost of both countries is super helpful especially since this is post pandemic. Thanks!

Thanks! Yeah, we have 4x4 on the truck and it even has a 4-low option which is great for sticky situations like deep sand.

Hi! Thanks for watching our video and asking a great question. Beyond what we've already said in the video, just be open to having a cultural experience and to be prepared that things aren't always going to be the same as at home. But that's why we travel, right?
For your dog, it's really important that s/he be microchipped and have vaccines up to date (and bring copies of proof). A good flea/tick/heartworm prevention and deworming is important too. Your vet can help get you all set up with that before you go. Be prepared for loose dogs almost everywhere you go. Some will be nice and some won't be.
