Ha ha, thank you, I spend a lot of time on the river so there's a lot of cool spots for me to run boats. 🙏🏽 This thing is the most fun Rc I've ever bought. To get something like this for $100 and hsve it perform that well is amazing. Everything about it from the lights to the range to the runtime. The self righting is unlimited. Unless you break it you'll always get it back. It has a solid 3-4 minutes of run time on low battery mode. The new ones don't come with the second battery, that was an incredible deal and a promo when they first came out. Occasionally some electronics will go bad, but they will usually send you a new one right away. If it lasts for a few months it's probably fine. You only have to watch the Rudder when you come into shallows with speed. Other than that it's pretty indestructible. Just keep it in at least 6 inches of water or more. It can run in like 3" but when turning you risk catching and breaking the plastic. I found mini servos as cheap as four dollars. Smoothed out the steering even more. Always move the servo wire to the second to last notch in the arm. Gives it more leverage and tighter turning radius needed for the creeks. Unnecessary for lake driving but fun and free modification. You have to make the hole bigger on the plastic arm, but you can use the wire or a paper clip and it takes about 10 seconds.
@@paulmeier6585 I actually found this boat super cheap yesterday... just the deerc brand which is exact boat down to the 3 battery remote... i have been in hobby many years and have lots of experience building and setting up models... I kind of lost interest for boats 12 years ago,but still have 7 models, but this little beast is in a class of its own... I like the rtr 3 batt tx and may try a few simple mods once i know temps using stock setup.. Maybe it can handle a slight prop upgrade or more a 1500 3s 80c batt... or that may be to hard on esc... ever check motor temps after a 15 min hard run??? if its barely warm that would be excellent... i can't tell you how many esc's,batteries and even motors i ruined learning boat setups... thanks for the great video..
The boat runs ice cold always, you have to make sure the cooling system is clear of debris or plastic from the factory though. The motor and ESC stay below 60°F all winter. They don't even heat up slightly. Maybe room temperature in the summer. I still don't think the ESC can handle much more juice, but a higher C rating probably wouldn't be a big deal. Your problem will be fitting it into the boat, these batteries fit perfectly and make a bomb proof set up. I have yet to find a good prop pitch that works. Anything that fits has too much cavitation. I've tried several, not a lot available for the 3 mm shaft. Everything is 4 mm or bigger. I think it's a perfect boat stock with the servo maneuverability modification. 180 spins on command. It does about 25 miles an hour and gets there in a hurry. If you're on open water you'll probably be more satisfied with a bigger boat.
Thanks Donald, it really is a great boat. I’ve run about 10 full charges through it and beaten it on rocks, logs, and beach sand with no issues except a few scratches.
Hey Paul any idea where i can find a new coupler for this boat? if not do you know the motor shaft? size flex drive size ?so i can search ebay... thanks for your help..
That’s pretty funny, if serious people who’ve known me for 20+ years find nothing unusual. You’re just not used to people being stoked, Kevin definitely brings it! 🥲 Cheers
Yeah, I actually forgot about that. You didn’t notice the mocking tone? I was just joking around. Yes, that part was deliberate. I think it’s comical the way he always says that. Cheers
how amazing it survived...never saw anyone do crazy stunts like this... this little boat is badass.

The summer is when it's really astounding. It stays so cool, in the winter I'm pumping 40° water through it so there's not much chance to heat up.
I watch a lot of rc reviews and demos. Kudos, great video.
Nice review. Looks like a lot of fun. May have to get one.

That's a sweet little boat. It's fast!
I love this little boat, the size, the speed, the lights, it’s the coolest thing I have ever bought for under $110
Cool vid. That thing runs nice. I tried the jet jam and it sucked. Thanks for sharing.
Right, yeah I know a couple people with the jet jam. This thing is the same price and will light it up all day long.
Im sitting in front of a 6s 4foot long traxxas boat and this thing looks like a blast!
I wish I saw this before I got my boat
Good vidéo, like from France 🇫🇷

Where did you buy this from?
Amazon, they’ll be back in stock in two or three weeks. But they will sell out in a week or so most likely.
@@paulmeier6585 thanks!
Price?
$100 on Amazon
I have a couple of them now.
Why are you talking like Kevin Talbot?

@@paulmeier6585 You said "absolutely epic" like how do they not realize

@@paulmeier6585 Yes I'm surprised nobody has pointed that out yet though. I am a Kevin Talbot fan so I saw that straight away
Well, not everyone takes themselves as seriously as you.
They either ignored it, or realized I was just having fun.❤️ 🥲
