Enjoyable tour Jack, thanks. I’d like a 28-30’ Scandinavian boat as my next one, but for me the Aquador 28c is the better option. Older, cheaper and with doors to shut out the weather and noise!
We have the Aquador with outboards. It’s a great boat that’s really versatile. We didn’t want to lose the sandbar aspect of boating and at this size we can still get into our favorite Florida spots. I’d like to see a few improvements but overall it does everything we like to do on the water.
As others have said its more in direct competition worth the marex 310 and the marex just edges it for me. Another very enjoyable review. Keep them coming Jack. Thanks.
I think the more appropriate comparison would be to the Marex 310, not the 330. The Marex 330 has far more going for it. For me it doesn’t look like a very engaging instrument panel.
The 310 definitely a better comparison in therms of space (small mid cabin, wet head only etc) and price as the 330 is both larger and A LOT more expensive. I don't agree with a digital instrument panel not being engaging though. 3x 100% customizable screens will pretty much give you all the info you want just as you want it at all times. Plus the seating position with throttle and steering wheel looks very ergonomic. I have a Marex 320 ACC which has the same helm as the 330 and pretty much the only complaint I have with the boat is not enough screen real estate meaning you constantly have to switch modes and zoom in/out on the single 12" plotter. That and the lack of a side door which the 330 has. Now if I could only get a 320/330 with the same styling / design language as the Aquador It would be the perfect boat for me... Hopefully the Marex 440's more modern design will trickle down to the next line of smaller models.
For what I would like a boat for this falls into the 'perfect' category, explore down around the Cornish coast or up around slapton, Dartmouth and Poole or pop over to France etc and 8:15, wow what a great shot, almost like looking at an RC boat video. 👏👏👏❤️🇬🇧
Wider side decks, skyhook, starboard helm door access are just a few things that put the Marex over this one. In my view the Marex takes every category except price.
If I was using it on the Med, I'd go for the Marex. For those of us who have to endure more Northerly climes, the Aquador might be better thanks to the solid roof arrangement. The noise of rain on the canvas top of the Marex would irritate me.
Hi there. That’s a lovely lovely boat. I’m a fan of the Scandinavian boats. I myself have a grandezza27oc which my wife and I have extensively modified. However for me I would buy the Marex. They are my favourite boat for long term cruising and day boating. My dream would be the flagship with a small washing machine for the wife. lol. Great stuff.
Beautiful Boat, a Pocket Yacht? 3:03 Clever and useful salon table. 4:15 Diamond tuck in tan would be much nicer to my taste, but the dark walnut (?) woodwork 3:47 is class. Appears to continually list to the right while in straight headings. (one rider slightly left center, one full left and two on the right). 10:50 Nice looking helm layout. Really cool overall.
Closer to the 310 than the 330. Only two drawbacks are the shared ‘communal’ space when getting dressed, and the step up to the table in the cockpit. Marex wins for me but I’m biased 😁
Marex 330 has sliding doors near the drivers seat for the exit. If I'm not mistaken. So Marex seems to be better. But this one is cheaper and also great.
Jusst needs the fold down bulwarks and the exceptional galley space amd then it could rival the Marex Gastronomic even. Well, kind of. But in all seriousness, just based on your handling notes, I woukd say the Marex is the winner. However the 2 features I like on this is that the pull out plastic curtains are on the inside of the boat. Much eaiser to handle if things are going bad, like it's cold amd your fingers aren't working too well and it statrts to rain on top of it. The other thing is the split roof. If you have someone who maybe got too much sun, or they don't want the wind knotting their hair, you can close half the opening sunroof. Excellent if you have small kids too. While I do think highly of both, this seems to have just a few more boxes ticked, but the Marex can be closed off. This has induction cooking so then I assume that the generator or inverter is standard? This seems to habe nicer interior. I just wish this had the ability to close the cabin off, all in all though, I would choose this since I live in Florida so winter isn't really a thing here that much.
I think the genius manual canvas sunroof...S are much better on the Marex. Being able to open the front and rear in seconds beats the hardtop sunroof in my book - but otherwise very similar Both lovely boats tho
this boat is such a practical beauty. absolutly love it, good tour
To answer the question posed - every bloody penny. Cracking little boat!
Enjoyable tour Jack, thanks.

Another great review guys 👏 Like these test drives. Let’s see more please 🙏
Another great boat and stunning scenery!
Nicely captured, too 😉
This boat is perhaps best compared with the Marex 310, in terms of size and price.
Difficult to make a choice.

That Yanmar coming up to revs is just about the sweetest sounding marine engine.
Well it's really a Toyota Landcruiser V8 after all.

RC Boat Vibes! Love it!
@@maritimefilminguk really impressive angles and a joy to watch. 👏👏❤️🇬🇧
That looks a nice yacht for a day/weekend, it's got everything you need, nice finishes and equipment level. Great tour Jack thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! - Jack

Defo the side access

BUT MY DREAM BOAT IS AND WILL REMAIN SARGO 45 WITH IPS...
THANK YOU FOR YOUR GREAT VIDEO
ARDY
Same here, out of all the realistic sized boats YB has tested, the Sargo 45 adventure is my favourite so far. 👍
Marex got that idea for the hidden curtains from Linssen, Jack. This is nice, but those very narrow side decks kill it for an old fart like me. :)
Top-notch build quality

Hey Jack, great review and a cool boat too. But I prefer the Marex 330.

Correct, but the Marex 310 SC is an Open Version similar to this one.
A great review Jack ,?? would have to see both in the flesh and a sea trial ?🤔👍
I really would like you to compare it to the Grandezza 30 CA. Thanks for doing a proper vid of the 300HT!
Great job Haynes👍🏻
Thanks!
I’d be quite happy with this boat. 👍👍

Both lovely boats tho
It got to be Marex, the comfy factor in Marex is hard to beat and as I've been in all of them I think Marex comes out a winner
I had an Aquador 26 HT what a great boat, think this is just a enlarged version of that
Agree, the Marex 310 SC is a more relevant and fair comparison - why is the bigger and more exspensive 330 mentioned?
Is the 'settee' in the master cabin not also a child's bunk? It appeared to have leg space under the double bed too...
Marex for me but it's a nice boat. Well done Jack
Good tour, as per👍
Jeaneau Merry Fisher 12.95 is hard to beat though, for the money.
Thanks! And yes, I agree 👍 - Jack
2:22 Why have I never seen
teaks stained dark, similar to
what this swim platform looks like wet?
I'd definitely take this over a Marex. The wiring on Marex boats is abysmal and waiting to go wrong as soon as it is delivered.
Marex 330 is of course better. You pay more, you get more! Separate shower, side door, side decks...
Almost 5ft. Draft on a 29 footer a little deep I believe! To each his own
No door from the cabin into the cockpit on this boat… for more northly climates I’d have the Marex because it does…
I think Marex is a little step higher in quality and will probably hold value better
Yes it does. Very much so.
No joystick? Is it an option?
Surely the Saxdor 320GTC easily matches and exceeds this?
This is a beamier, more practical boat than the Saxdor imho. Byers materials and build quality, vastly more experienced in boat building by years.
HI, for me Marex 330 , THE BEST , I LOVE MAREX 330
Yes. Itbus
38 feet and still no shower. pass. Ive seen way better layouts with more privacy for both cabins. there should be 2 private cabins.
For me Acquador are more experienced than Marex at this class of boat.
Marex is better and bigger. You see it in the bathroom. No separate shower in the Aquador. Also the materials seems less quality like
For the price ill take it
I prefer a Sargo 31 much safer to walkaround.
Maybe if it had twin outbound engines
An option, I believe - Jack
Id say Marex, but I am a Marex owner 😂
I’d say Grandezza but i’m a Grandezza owner 😄
I have a Bison SIB 4.2 so......... I'll get my coat. 😜👍
I think Marex is still better, nice boat nevertheless
First impression from the intro is those railings are so annoying and intrusive
No head?
Yes. We didn't get b-roll (sorry!) but you can see where it is on the plan @5:03
marex
BUT Aquador 300 HT IS GOOD, IS OPEN , SO LA LA
Be great if it was electrically powered!
Must have dry head for the wife and children or its a losers boat at any size
I would totally buy this boat 🛥️ but I want 2 motors 😢
