P alkalinity test is carried out to know alkalinity due to hydroxyl ion and half of the carbonate ion... While T alkalinity test is carried out to know alkalinity due to hydroxyl, carbonate and bicarbonate ions.
Sir after taking p alkalinity test we have to use new boiler water sample or we have to countinue the next test in the same sample what we used for p alkalinity test ?????
Alkalinity (basic) is the measure of ability of water to neutralize acids, in boiler we need to maintain the pH of water i.e it should be in between 9 to 11 pH ..if the water is too acidic that is pH reduces and thus alkalinity reduces .. hence we need to maintain the alkalinity of water in boiler. To overcome acidic corrosion.
