I think I’d rather watch you play a full save than do one myself. The level of detail you go into is amazing.

Agreed. This dude would get so many followers/subs if he did Twitch.

Your channel is unique, in that, it's the only FM and ASMR (unintentional) crossover I know of!

I was hoping for a video like this. Top job as usual. Also would be nice to get a follow up at a later date to show us how us if and how you adjust to the opposition (maybe only for tricky matches?) and how you adjust during the match if things go wrong (or exceed expectations!)

You press like on the video even before the DLP says "Hello everybody and welcome". The quality of the rest of the video is already know! 💪

Awesome, always a great refresher on the fundamentals.
TLDR: previous match analytical data can help you diagnose issues in your tactic once your in season.
I had the interesting realization after watching the previous games of dortmund to prepare for our champions league tie and noticed that the datahub/next opponent/ overview/ set pieces tabs advice on where your oppo is going to deliver their set pieces doesn't seem to be very accurate. ( i have pretty good analysts for reference, so i dont think its just their lack of talent). i have started doing it for the rest of my future opponents and have been coming up with the same issues. so now looking at 1 to two previous matches in the match analytical data and a notebook i can jot some notes down on whether i want to go short, target the back post with an overload or an iso to near or far posts. Might not be everyone's cup of tea every match, but for the continental cups where you need to be dialed in it could be super useful. I am going to start doing using it once we are 10 games in to look at my chance creation and defensive actions and see if we can find some improvements in the tactic.

Could’ve used this a few hours ago haha, just got done with my 7 game pre-season and gonna be starting my first actual game in-charge of Hoffenheim now. Great tips nonetheless!

Had a couple of ideas for future videos when you get to the end of your plans.
    1. An explainer on using the information from the data hub would be nice and how it can help with match preparation or where it could hinder by providing reductive or useless data.
    2. Showing how to analyze either yourself or your opponents previous match using the schedule/(a match)/analytical data/teams and how it can show you some really useful info, like opposition corners (and the linked highlight), opposition scoring chances, and really nicely, linked events of scoring chances.
    3. Would love a deep dive into the set pieces i.e. what does it actually do in the game when you say out-swinger to edge of area, vs inswinger? if you set up a zonal marking strategy in the game, how does that actually perform? Not the typical OP set piece guide but a breakdown on what it actually does when you make a choice, similar to your player videos.
Anyway love the channel, always look forward to your content.

just on out/in- swinging corners/free kick,
Out= the ball is moving on a path that is away from the goal/byline
      In= towards the goal
An extremely inswinging corner would be an Olimpico for example. A corner that is taken at such an angle that it bypasses all targets in the box and is scored directly from the corner flag.
Idk if this is what you are asking for but if anyone reading the comments is curious 🤷‍♂️

@sam-rv8tp haha thanks i guess i left that one open to interpretation, no i mean for some of the not typical locations, most people do front or back post, but i was thinking about when you actually try ones into other regions like edge of area, what does that actually look like in the game, and is it possible to get effective routines beyond inswingers at each post. (i do know that alot of premier league teams are majority inswingers now but i wanted some variety)

If you are an idiot (like me), you can reload the friendly games multiple times to test different approaches to your tactic

    • @grzegorzlisiecki5033
      @grzegorzlisiecki5033 2 дні тому +2

same way you can win most of the games even against top dogs- just keep reloading if thats your thingy 😉
but seriously, the big learning curve is to resist the temptation and suck up lost games and rise from the ashes, like any true football manager before your reign 😊

I always have two saves. The main save and a side save where I always jump into and test different things I randomly think of. I never want to disrupt my main save so I load the side save and experiment however much I want

Hey man, keep up the good work! Can you please let me know what are the best player roles for midfielders and attackers in a 4-2-3-1 system for scoring and creating chances? I am playing a possession / attacking tactic in Romanian first league and I feel that with the players I got, Mastantuno & Estevao on loan, I should be flying. Yet I only score 1-2 goals per game having a 65% possession. My striker is being played for his best attributes as PF on attack, the 3 behind him can literally play anything as they are 4-5 stars wonder-kids, while the 2 DMs can play any role needed. Thanks!

thats what im doing in friendlies, i like to experiment and see if everything works out, i dont really care whether we score loads or not, i want to see compact play and if it "clicks" colloquially said.

Strange. Does a FB on A suppose to go forward along the sideline, not to go forward toward the middle?
An the contrary the inverted winger should go inside. I don't understand why you choose to modify the IW.
Thanks for the perfect video again!

Does the FB (A) tucks in by default or because the IW or the W are in front of him?

is it possible to make central midfielders overlap in fm? so i'm using a 433 with my fullback as iwb(s) and ifb. i'm getting bored using a winger when my fullbacks are inverted. i tried double cm(a) with PI stay wider and run wide with ball, so far my tactics look like this
    gk: sk(s)
    rb: iwb(s)
    rcb: cd(d)
    lcb: bpd(d)
    lb: ifb
    dm: dm(s)
    rcm and lcm: cm(a)
    lw and rw: if(s)
    st: dlf(s)
the cm did make an overlapping runs but only when they have the ball. any role suggestions for the cm? thinking about a mezalla before, but the role has a hard coded "move in to channel" which i don't really want that

But how can I tell if my tactics are good or bad? I can win matches because of luck or good players. How can I check if my tactics are good in their pure form?
