Same here. I thought that it might be because it was a random drop so I've reloaded the save a dozen times and he never has the magsniper and none of his guns are Advanced or Calibrated even though I have my difficulty set to Very Hard.

Thanks for the video. I too love sniping in games. I'm only level 10 but look forward to finding better sniper rifles than the Lawgiver I currently have. Will these appear "in the wild" or do they have to be purchased? I really enjoy coming across stuff as I explore.
My problem with the Magsniper is that you have to charge it to get full damage, and I don't like doing that. So it's Hard Target for me all the way. Easily my favorite sniper.
Calibrated is only one step up from the standard version of any weapon. Next is Refined and then Advanced. I have both Advanced Hard Target and Advanced Magsniper with legendary traits and fully modded. With the full skills I get over 80000 damage with the Advanced Magsnipier and a bit less with the Advanced Hard Target! 😁
Magsniper: found off high level boss, refined instigating, no mods does 600+ phys dmg Hard Target (Advanced): even a blue with the Instigating perk on rifle is fantastic if you're a stealthy sniper, one-shots everything, even with chest shots
both rifles are random available at the UC Quartermasters Shop in New Atlantis, if its not in shop, save game before entering the shop, and reenter, he restocks every new load "when you enter", also restocks every 48 Hours local time. When i reached level 65 i got a Magsniper with over 660 Damage per shot, pimped it up to 790. but still, it is not as satisfying as the Hard Target. Guess Cal .50 bets the 6.5 mm of the Magsniper. Plus, the Hard target fires 25 rounds the magsniper just 17 per minute But my favorite is not a real sniper, its the House Va'ruun Inflictor, Modded to max Precision of about 85 and Annihilator Rounds is this gun until 100m a Onehitter with his 2 types of damage, i love them Va'ruun guns
Damn Mag Sniper I found its special. Im level 28 and was doing a mission bounty at a level 75 planet. Killed the level 84 Boss and he dropped a Advanced Magsniper with 1168 damage jeez.
Nice video, but fyi unfortunately for me these shops rotate and randomly stock items like the hard target which I’ve literally been searching for weeks trying to get! I’ve only been able to purchase one the first week of Starfield release, and I bought it in the shop in the well! After that I’ve made 3 other characters, and all of them cannot EVER find this damn weapon that just so happens to be my favorite since I’ve seen it! 😳🤦🏻♂️🙄/👌✌️🤲☝️😌
Sniper - It's pretty much the only viable weapon in the game (unlike Skyrim where there was a bunch of weapons). Yet DPS wise a fully upgraded advanced beo is better (even it only has a fraction of the listed damage/shot) because the magsniper is slow as fuck. (and requires charge up.. ugh)
Both of these are ballistic weapons. Do you have a recommendation for a long range EM weapon. I’m level 18 and have had a lot of success using a Scout Equinox at longer range to reduce shields before I switch to a Lawgiver to finish off the opponent. Is there a better distance EM choice?
Hard Target for me is the one. I found a legendary one around level 40 or 45, i dont remember exactly, which already had pretty much the ideal mods, and I've been using it consistently up to now at level 61. Mag Sniper is dope but you need to charge it up, which is a deal breaker IMO
First off, you're using a calibrated magsniper. Refined or advanced would be better. Based on the options you are getting from the shop, you appear to be too low a level to buy the higher ranked magsnipers. Ditto the hard target - it too, comes refined and advanced. Second off, it appears that you haven't played through New Game +. Without spoilers, there are two or three weapons, a laser rifle and a couple of ballistic weapons, that are better than even the advanced magsniper or hard target. All 3 are unique, named weapons, and one of them comes suppressed. Also, many weapons can be modified to add a suppressor. Not sure about the magsniper, though.
I have a silenced mag sniper that I purchased with that mod. It's an advanced version, with skills it does over 1k base damage. Hard Target is a better combat rifle than dedicated sniper IMO.
So, I don’t know about the first place but the second place didn’t have the gun. I went there and they had no sniper rifles. Waited 48 hours and they had the same guns. So, you’re telling me I can’t get it until I get to some high level? Sounds like some high level bull to me!
Ain't no way you're gonna sit here and say that Penetrator Rounds is one of the best mods when Armor Piercing straight up does more. Even with slightly less damage.
Seems like these weapons don’t show until your a certain level. I went to this vendor at level 14 and the hard target rifle didn’t show. Or is the loot table random?

Damn dude I’ve got 125 hours in the game and I’ve never been to that first shop. I just finished dinner I’m gonna put my dishes in the sink I’m gonna put the leftovers in the fridge and I’m gonna turn the game back on and I’m gonna go buy that damn thing. Outstanding!
Not a fan of the camera on you, specifically the full measure thing constantly blinking on the screen. Very annoying and no reason to see you, especially in videos like these where it covers the screen. No reason to have the full measure constantly appearing over and over. I avoid channels like this, who make it all about themselves and not the content. Good luck. I hope you make better decisions that benefit the viewer and grow your channel.
Generally speaking I make it a point not to respond to comments like these since essentially they are opinions and I'm not in the business of changing opinions, but also because this mindset is nightmare fuel to me and I struggle to understand it. Either way, perhaps this gives you some food for thought the next time you leave one of these little channel reviews as you pass by and comment on channels you avoid. Not all content is made for all, that's the beauty of UA-cam. Find what suits you and support those creators. This way of thinking that all content should fit into the frame which YOU want to consume it in is bonkers. Taste differs, channel strategy differs, creators and their vision of their channel and how they deliver content differs etc etc. Doing every single thing the same as the next channel is ridiculous and does nothing for no one. My content won't please all which is something I'm perfectly fine with.... because it will be my content, done my way in the way I want to convey it and lastly(probably most important of all) it will satisfy my creativity. Good luck and I hope you find what you are looking for.
I have tried over a dozen Times to try and get even one of those guns and either spot is dropping it for me. I have Gove to Venus and slept for 24 hours ie. 1200 hours UT and nothing. Any tips?
There are different "levels" a gun can have depending on your level. Advanced being the best version i believe. Like the starter pistol does like 3dmg but at lvl 20 or so you will find an advanced version that does like 23 or so. Someone probably made a chart for it
There’s actually a hidden level above advanced. It will still say advanced but will have superior damage to a regular advanced weapon. This is also very commonly why you’ll see Advanced Magshears with 2 different damage values. I think they are supposed to say Superior, but for some reason only the armors get the superior tag. Bug? IDK
Ty Sir for this video and information! Sniper Rifles are my go to as well. Enjoy set;th builds. Question, (I'm new) are we able to purchase this rife at multiple levels? Ty very much for your time!
I also found Hard Target suppressed sniper rifle on Alpha Cent/Jemison at UC. It’s my favorite suppressed. I didn’t know about the Mag….going to go get it. Thanks!
You can farm special trait weapons quite easily. Especially Instigating is bonkers on a sniper rifle, and Armor Piercing or Anti-Personnel are not bad either. What you do is you go to a high difficulty system, just pick any. Hardest you can deal with. Then you land on a planet with a point of interest that's usually populated by pirates or spacers. The game should be on very hard before you land. Clear out all the weakest enemies, while avoiding the highest level one. There's always a boss man type of guy. Damage him to very low health, and hit quicksave. Now every time you quickload, you just finish the elite and check the loot. Should take 2-3 seconds per roll. You can go between very hard and very easy if you so choose. Just make sure it's on very hard when the enemies actually spawn. I know it's cheesy. But then again, it's pretty dumb you can have a million credits, lvl70, a battlecruiser parked outside, but you can't have the gun you wanted. If you want the non-cheesy version, just do mission board stuff. Boarding enemy ships can be nice too, captain's locker might have something good.
I've got one of the MAG sniper rifles and I worked my magic on it to make it _"A bad muttafukka."_ So to speak. In fact, the MOD's I put on it are exactly what you put on your's. But regardless of the MAGS capabilities, it still doesn't compare to my _worked on_ .50 cal Sniper with a silencer. Regarding the MAG. I really hate the scope for it. Even though it's the long range one. It's just naff. But on the .50 cal, where you put that crosshair is where the bullet is going to hit. With the MAG, I probably get 60% of my kills using in one shot. Often, I've just staggered the target with a head shot. Which really surprised me. Considering its power. But with the .50 cal, if I head shot the target, which is 99% of the time, it's going down in one shot! 100% of the time. There is no staggering the target if i hit it. It is D E A D ! *To me, the .50 cal is that good a sniper rifle.* Again, like the MAG, I believe my modded .50 cal is exact to your specs. however. Nice video. And kudos for remembering where you can buy the guns from 8-))...
Honestly, nothing puts a smile on my face like popping tops with the "Old Earth Hunting Rifle". With the hitman perk it's way more consistent at 1 shotting from stealth. Besides, the real life version of this was designed in the 1980s. It would be the equivalent to doming a modern soldier with a midevil crossbow from 100 meters. Plus, it's a lot quietter than the sppressed 50.

Awesome!
Level 31 - wasn't there. I'll have to come back later.
the bedst sniper is the advanced breach with slugs.
I don't see the mapsniper. Do I need to level up? I'm at 17
Found a regular common mag snipe deals 1k+ dog per shot
Went to both shops and neither was in their inventory. Bogus info
if you are a starborn and head to the resort he sells a magsniper but a super good one with lots of mods
So where do you get the Advanced or Superior versions?
Yah i went to neon and tried to buy calibrated sniper rifle and its not even there.
I've been to both shops and can't find them I'm on level 17
I can not get the first gun to spawn in neon. I have done 3 48hrs cycles and he never has it
You must look for the Advanced model of these guns.
Wish I saw this when I started either of my characters. Thank you.
Most welcome
Went there and he didn’t have it. Even waiter 24 hrs and nothing
Just tried both stores but there were no sniper rifles in either.
I have tried over a dozen Times to try and get even one of those guns and either spot is dropping it for me. I have Gove to Venus and slept for 24 hours ie. 1200 hours UT and nothing. Any tips?
What level are you?
Hi, sorry for a dumb question. Why the damage of the weapons in my vendor are lower ? Thanks.
Skills affect damage and other stats
What lvl do u need to be to get these weapons to spawn?
Greta video man 👍👍
i got lucky and got both at AKilla wow
Liked and subscribed brother this was awesome thank you
Much appreciated
Yeh not there for me and Im mid 30s...
How do i get these 2 snipers in its Legendary/Epic version?
You would need to get lucky with random drops from elites
+1 for Hard Target. There’s an Advanced Hard Target in The Den (Trade Authority) in my game. I think Advanced is over calibrated? :)
There are different "levels" a gun can have depending on your level. Advanced being the best version i believe. Like the starter pistol does like 3dmg but at lvl 20 or so you will find an advanced version that does like 23 or so. Someone probably made a chart for it
@@AcceptGamingDKD Yep - Just named, Calibrated, Refined and then Advanced - Only Armour has Superior class (which is above Advanced)
You are, weapons and shops level up with you and eventually at high enough levels you will see Advanced versions of these
@@TheFullMeasureGaming TY! Very much for your time and Answer!
I will get them. I have been wanting good snipers!!!
Nice!
The Hard Target wasn’t there
There not at the shops for me
Starfield is generally disappointing IMO but I really, really love weapon design, vastly better compared to previous Beth games
*To me, the .50 cal is that good a sniper rifle.*
Again, like the MAG, I believe my modded .50 cal is exact to your specs.
however. Nice video. And kudos for remembering where you can buy the guns from 8-))...
Great video sir! Here, take my like and subscribe.
Welcome aboard!
Great video but not there for me only level 22 so must need to be higher level 😂
Yup, should start showing up in mid 30s
@@TheFullMeasureGaming Thanks for that.
@@GameWithDave most welcome :)
What level of difficulty are you playing?
Normal
i had to subscribe to make it 800 even
Much appreciated!
