What an intersting fly...looks so much like a phase I've seen on the stream .....some gadwall would look nice for the antennae

Ditto's on the Overton Wonder Wax, I been using that stuff since 1982, Just bought a new one. Good stuff. You tie these in the 14 to 18 hook size since that pretty much cover the size of most caddis in the world. Here where I live a size 12 or a 10 would be for the October Caddis that a big fly. I know that for filming purposes the larger size it both easier to see and photograph. Or is the Norwegian Caddis flies just bigger on Average? Norway being such a yuge country ?

Hi George, yes the Overton wax is good! Well here I must say that the normal all round caddis are tied on # 10-12 but for the summer hatch of Phryganea grandis, our largest caddis, its # 8-10 that are the norm.

Mahalo nui loa (thanks very much )Barry. I used a bibble caddis with great success when I had the privilege of living in Montana. I used to fish Silver Bow river where Gary LaFontaine did some of his seminal caddis fly work. Y
Thanks to your wonderful videos you have proven that you can teach a very, very old dog new tricks.
