MC Hammer was hip hop’s first global superstar, that had a hand in taking it to the heights it is now. He’s absolutely a hip hop legend. With that said he could’ve dominated the 90s, but for these reasons that didn’t happen
That's real. I was fortunate enough to be born and old enough to experience and appreciate the era of MC Hammer. He was the rap version of Michael Jackson for a period of time. His videos were premiered and presented as events like MJ when he was at his peak. Much respect to MC Hammer. He had all the endorsements, cartoons, commercials and everything else back in the 80's and early 90's. Hammer's "decline" was a prime example of Black people hatin on other Black people (his peers started it and the masses followed). Salute to the great MC Hammer. I have nothin but respect for the OG.
