I've loved Chavel guitar for many years. This MJ Series is amazing!
I have the socal in white mj and it is absolutely a Beast!
Why do we have to pay MIJ prices to get a joint carve and 24 frets? Still no SS frets. Use the DK neck joint carve as appears on some sig models. There's no reason that shouldn't be on every guitar you make.🎉
sick playing
Oh no my bank account
Right
I know that feeling.🙂
I hear ya
I have had one for almost 2 years, I bought it directly from Japan.
I have one from a few years ago and they’re incredible tbh
I just got the black and gold San Dimas today, it’s bloody amazing. It’s so comfortable to play and it came setup really well straight from the factory. It’s a mix between my reissue HM strat and an EVH 5150 guitar, phenomenal!
Congrats, it's a sweet axe. I love the All white MJ from last year's batch. My eye is one that one.
these guitars are fantastic!
More colors and Stainless Steel frets and I will buy one
Love the black one !
The black/gold is noice!
Let's go charvel
I have MIM ash body san dimas from 2018 and it's a sick guitar wouldn't sell it or trade it for any other axe. In fact my guitar playing improved so much thanks to this amazing guitar. Fantastic guitars
I have been looking for a production guitar in this config for forever! The older socal model only had 22 frets so I never picked it up.
After trying stainless steel frets, I cant go back. These guitars are almost perfect, any chance this gets updated next year?
What took so long for 24 fret socal?
10 years ago the same guitar made in Japan was just half the price.
No stainless frets? :(
Bummer!
SS frets on expensive guitars should be a standard these days
I wonder what people are going to bitch about next if stainless frets become standard on most guitars.
@@MajorDook1No German Floyd Rose, but there always stuff to bitch about when it comes to Fender, they always cut corners somewhere.
@@MajorDook1Stop it bro. No stainless steels frets at this point is a 100% legitimate complaint. Do you know that a refret is anywhere from $400 to almost $800? That's ALOT of freaking money.
You can easily kill nickel frets in less than 2 years, and I don't want to to hear any different because I've seen it over and over again.
I got my first stainless steel fretted guitar in 2019. I've played it tons in these last 5 years, and it has virtually no wear to the frets!
@@ATX0705 Do you know how bad your technique (pushing down way too hard on the strings) has to be to wear your frets to the point of needing a refret in less than 20-30 years?
Ohhhh yesss 24 frets
What happened to single hum-bucker charvels as well as the warren demartini models?are they still in production?cant find any charvel easily in european stores
It almost perfect, is there any benefit for use nickel frets?
if you are the person re-fretting the guitar, the benefit is, nickel is softer than steel and easier to "work". the job is faster, easier, and in a few years they'll be back for another re-fret. repeat business.
putting steel frets on a guitar is slow, difficult, and you need to rebuy a few tools for working steel. also, that person isn't coming back for a re-fret after stainless steel has been installed. their grandchildren might need to re-fret it in 50 years or so, if it get's played enough.
is there a benefit to using nickel frets as a *player* though?
no. none whatsoever. steel is superior in every way.
Classic Charvel look, but with stainless steel frets and Evertune please :)
MJ series with fixed bridge please!
As seen in the center of the Venn diagram for Flair, Class, and Versatility.
Make a Charvel with a hard tail bridge, Fishman Fluence pickups, and stainless steel frets. You will sell tons of them.
Not with those Fishman pickups.
I would not buy this config 😅
🤘🔥
Not stainless steel frets? I want the red one!!
Bring back the single pick-up star please!
I love Charvel but c’mon guys. Same ol JB, no SS frets? Points for the Gotoh though.
To be honest, the only Charvels I care about, is the DK24 / 22 models. I wish they would focus more on them or make these guitars more like them. I love my DK24. It's my favorite guitar to play. They have one of the best heel joints and upper fret access of all the super strats on the marked...so why do they still make most of the guitars with these fat, old, clunky-ass heel joints? I don't get it... And since it's 2024 and not 1984, it would be nice to see less floyds and more stainless steel frets. But I do wish they would bring back the old Charvel logo or make a new one. Anything would be better than the current logo that is desecrating the iconic strat headstock. Why is there a guitar shaped logo with what looks almost like a PRS style headstock on a strat headstock?? The whole logo is shaped like a PRS Santana signature with a Silver Sky headstock. It's like if BMW made a new logo and they made the logo look like a Ford F150 pickup truck. This really needs to change....it makes me want to try and remove the logo from my guitar...
Here here! Well said!
A lot of people want "traditional" \ vintage style guitars and will pay more for them. I don't really understand it myself, but everyone has their own preferences I suppose. Some people never really play above the 15th fret anyway lol.
@@5urg3xBoomer bends and players are what sets the market.
@@bassyey I like boomer bends every once in awhile, lol. But yeah. The guys willing to spend $15k on a Murphy lab les Paul or relic’d fender custom shop guitar are the ones the builders are going to cater to.
Couldn’t agree with this more!!! Although they did just release a few new colours for the DK24, I think they’re functionally identical to previous ones (ie. no stainless steel frets unless you wanna pay 5 grand for a USA model which is nuts)
Just a socal with 22 frets, with ss frets would have been better. Wanna do something unique, match headstock to body
💯🎯
Bro wheres a fixed bridge version? 😢
Colin Cook guitars
No left handed? Again? Thanks Charvel...
Bring back that kinda filthy swinging rhythm
Why complaining about Floyd Rose? Any suggestions? With the exception of Jake E. Lee Charvel (by the way, his original Charvel indeed was a Fender Strat...) almost every model seen in the 80´s included a Floyd Rose, original or licensed. Charvel / Jackson, and every other brand had one. You couldn´t become a real Guitar Hero if you didn´t know how to play with a tremelo bar.
Yes, you can't be a "real" Guitar Hero without that Floyd.🤩
Make some guitars that aren't plain asf.
Tell that to the other companies as well
Effin eh cotton
Goodbye tax refund. 😂
Top end features and modern finishes? lol k. No stainless frets, red and black. What goof writes that stuff?
Oh look more guitars with Floyds 🤦 Sorry Matt, but this isn't the F'in 80s anymore!
Right! I wish they would do an HH, no pickguard model with a high-quality non locking trem for people who don't want a floyd-equipped guitar.
It's so interesting how divisive FR are. For me, if a guitar doesn't have one, I won't love it. The big issue for me is the nickel frets. My DK24 has the softest frets in any guitar I've ever played. It's about 5 years old, but has more wear than some of my 20+ year old guitars.
@@NathanMichalikThey're not divisive. They're simply a pain to work on, and take far too long to setup compared to a Gotoh trem.
Not only that, they're expensive to maintain, and any tech regardless as to whom they are, and where they are, is going to charge extra purely because it's a Floyd.
@@1970borntorun- Yes that would be a better option than a Floyd, but I was thinking more of a string thru hardtail.
Hey I've got an idea. Why don't people use UA-cam to learn about how to work on a Floyd. It's because they are lazy.😊@@Game4Lord
Only Floyds i mean freaking Floyds everywhere and no stainless steel frets? No stainless steel frets? In 2024? And what’s with 24 frets necks? No 22 frets? NO 22 FRETS? Like gee wtf? Who’s running Charvel? I mean do they even listen? Do they even play guitar? Why can’t they build 22 stainless steel fret guitars without Floyds? It’s not that hard really 😭🙄
Satin 🤮
That neck heel is [chef's kiss]. Block neck heels belong on vintage spec guitars. This is why I look to Charvel
