    I purchased one of these just recently and used it on a recent solo camp. Awesome piece of equipment. I used it on a tripod and between two trees lust like a small hammock. (just tie off one end lower than the other to form the seat with back rest). I have the tripod set up on video but not the tree setup. I give this item 👍👍.

    Ya the tie does not have to be really tight either. Not for the chair anyway. I use much more robust rope for the camp cot frame. But if you leave the chair tie a bit loose it makes it easier to adjust for less than level terrain. Just fold up the frame, adjust a leg or two up or down and then unfold again. Beats tying and untying the rope to make adjustments or cutting the legs.

    Nice Bushcraft chair. The only thing that this thing needs is a way to fold it into a triangular stool so you can insert 3 smaller pieces of wood and sit on it. that way you'd have more versatility with it.

      Using dead wood like this helps clean up some of these dangers in the wild.

      Yup. that's why I make as big as fires as I can. Cant even walk through the forest anymore here in the sierras cuz it's over grown and too much ground litter....just built a chair last night from ur vid, same color also. Got some new ideas on hanging from one tree with one stick and a couple small propping sticks or rocks, or if on snow just a channel dug out a little wider than chair and the branch sitting at surface level with a fire in front and an emergency blanket lining the trench reflecting fire at ur ass and lower back...well, off to go ski camping and try it out, thanks for the ideas :)

      Also search "hammock seat" on utube and check out the fanaticoutdoors.com chair and it's seating style. Very fast setup for a quick break or if space is tight under a tarp

    ....nevermind, I just messed around with it, add the prusik to one end, and attached the other end with a sheetbend knot to the prusik Jeez, blond moment :)

      DivaBClub Another way to look at it is a taught line hitch with extra wraps.

    How long is 200 centimeters? LOL... I gotta find a place that has sticks like that. Here in the desert all we have are bushes.

    I know how to do prusiks on my tarp ridgeline, and hammock ridgline...where I slide the prusik to where I need it, but how did you do it here? Did you put the prusik on one side of your line, and then actually tie the other end of your line to the actual prusik? I ask, because however you did that particular prusik knot, would be perfect for my guylines.

    Very good videos, I like watching all of them and learn. Is it possible for you to explain in one of them fully in detail how to make the nylon used on the chair and the cots? We do not have any of that here in the States. Thanks

    may i ask what's the dimensions of the sack?

    • @EconoChallenge
      @EconoChallenge  9 років тому

      This is not a sack. To save weight is is a single layer of nylon fabric with two channels sewn into the top and bottom of the material. The finished measurements are 62 cm x 108 cm.
