Awesome! I really wanted to see how these work. Thank you so much for your time and effort to put this video up. I think I'm going to put an order in for one of these and also start the newspaper pots for bigger plants. Thanks again and take care ☺️
Hi Nikki, from just up the road at Morayfield. Great video, despite the audio issue. I've been using a paper pot maker, but like the look of this. I noticed the other day at Woolies Morayshire that they have free local newspapers available at the entrance, so this will be my new supply when my existing stack is used up. Cheers and keep up the great work!
Awesome video. How do you water these so they don’t fall apart? From below? I’ve also seen a cool ‘wicking’ system set up, where the soils sit on a towel and part of the towel sits in a bucket of water and ‘wicks’ up as needed. Only I believe this may hinder the air pruning effect. Thoughts? A happy new year to you Nicki!
Yeah from below. So I put in a tray that has holes into a tray of water. Let them soak for a few minutes then take them out. Re the wicking system it may hinder the air pruning but I guess you have to weigh up whether there is more benefit of keeping them alive if you’re time poor vs air pruning. I haven’t done it personally so can’t really comment.
This was very interesting thanks Nicki 😊. Where did you get your trays? It took me forever to find them. I ended up getting them from The Seed Collection
Yeah true, I found it hard to source lids that fit for propagation too. They can be quite expensive and difficult to find the right size to fit the trays. Would be awesome if you can source them, I'd love to be able to pass on to others where they can get these resources. Fingers crossed you can find them! It's quite tricky in Australia, US and UK just seem to have so many options where I find we have very little options available.

I've tried using the WGAC toilet role wrappers instead of newspaper but they just aren't the same! Good work on finding a source ;)
This looks great as I raise nearly everything by seed. Where did you buy it? It looks sturdy.
I got it from AltaVista in Tassie. They sell a lot of market gardening stuff.

I got some from Aqua Gardening but they've closed down now. I am wanting to start stocking them in my shop, postage costs are painful though.
