- Living in Alaska can be expensive. I'm sure you've seen headlines about the higher cost of living in Alaska. And yet, not everyone who lives up here is a millionaire. How do people do that? A big part of it is learning to live on a budget that focuses on saving money while also enjoying living in Alaska.

I paid $47,000 for a small one bedroom house next to a small creek in 1980. A few years later I got a better job and put a nice 3 bedroom 2 car garage addition on it.
Good way to do it
Great information on the tax disclosure 👍👍
I am new to your channel and l absolutely love how informative it is. Would you be kind to make a video talking more about fishing rules. Im not sure if l understood that 25 salmon rule. Is it a yearly thing? Is it possible to buy it cheap from fishermen? Im Polish in NYC considering moving to Alaska. Im missing the snow ❄️ and super cold weather
I think my brother and I saw you at the Costco on Dimond this weekend. We wanted to say hello and ask you a few questions but didn’t want to harass you as you looked like a man on a mission hahaha
Hope you have a great weekend and a great Memorial Day! Look forward to working with you one day as my and my brother are wanting to buy a place here soon!
😆 That checks out! Costco is VERY serious.
Looking forward to it, just let me know when y’all have questions
Great video! Very helpful...
Thank hou
Do you happen to work in the Fairbanks area?
Great video. How is property taxes determined?
There’s a lot of variables but I couldn’t say with 100% confidence how it’s done. I should probably do a video about it.
@@alaska_realtor Yes, please do! And please explain what the "X% assessment" figure means in the MLS listings next to the property tax amount. Is it a % of the property tax or a % of some other figure, or what? Thanks! It all goes into the budget, so it is helpful to know.
