That's a nice setup , my only change would be to use heavy duty outdoor Velcro to mount the bubble box. Nice job !
That’s a great idea!
That’s a good looking DIY bait bucket… I don’t catfish as much as I use to but I crappie fish as much as I can. I’m gonna give this a try for my minos. You did a great job listing all the tools we needed too. That helps a lot. Thanks and wish me luck!
I had minnows in this bait bucket for over 3 days. Works perfect, I love it. Thanks for the comment man. 😎🎣
Just a suggestion.. I purchased a plug-in 120v aerator to use overnight and use the battery pump when I went fishing. It saves on D batteries and keeps them overnight.
Awesome idea, thanks for sharing!
Nice. I’m doing the same thing tomorrow. Bought an igloo cooler today at academy.
That’s great! I love mine 😄
Best one I’ve seen and I’m on a binge ! Thanks 😊
Thanks Xavier! I really appreciate the compliment.
Awesome for bank fishing 👍 🎣 cool set up!
Hey Rowdy! Thanks for coming commenting and checking out the video. The support is much appreciated 🎣😎
Nice build! I’ve built many and I liked your design. One suggestion use the clam shell for the bubble box, it will protect it from water splashes and rain
Thanks man! Great idea on the clam shell. I’ll have to look into that. Appreciate ya dropping by 😎🎣
@@Paulcatchesemall you bet! New subscriber to your channel too
Explain the clam shell please. Do you have a link to one? I'm building this too.
@@LetsCrappieFish it’s the package the pump came in. It’s clear plastic with holes the air input and the hose
Nice DIY Paul looks like it will work fine.
Thanks Crappie Xpress! Man it’s worked great thus far, far past my expectations. Thanks for dropping by and checking out the video man. The support is much appreciated 🎣😎
That's a great idea! Good work on that Paul. That should keep your bait nice and cool.
It surpasses all my expectations, it works great! Thanks for dropping by and checking out the video 🎣😎
@@Paulcatchesemall Just to let you know, I was at the David D. Terry West side boat ramp Thurs and someone tried to steal my catalytic converter while I was fishing in broad daylight. I reported it and I don't recommend parking there...your suspicions were correct. Now I know why nobody uses that ramp.
@@edooutdoors316 o wow! Yea I won’t be going there anymore then. I use to put in at Remmel Park and a few months ago they found a body floating by the boat ramp… I always carry my gun no matter where I’m going, but you can’t be out fishing enjoying yourself while your worried about someone stealing/messing with your truck. I hope they didn’t get anything else. Thank you so much for letting me know. I will not be going there anymore. Stay safe
@@Paulcatchesemall yeah it might be neccessary for us outdoorsmen to put anti theft devices on them
Love the concept, a suggestion I could say would be to use command strips for the aerator (2 on cooler and 2 on aerator) and that way you could easily attach and detach it as needed and still have a good grip, and the “cheap piece of metal” wouldn’t be a problem 😂 love the design bud
Now this looks easy enough that even I could do it! 😂. Young man you did a great job putting this all together. Real clean build. Even better is that it’s successful with keeping your bait alive! Mine I can usually get a day or so out of. This so something I need to do soon. Great upload, I look forward to the next one!
Thank you, it’s still running stony and keeping my bait alive for days. I appreciate the comment.
Looks great. Would you do anything different. Asking before I start mine. Thanks.
Thanks Jeff, honestly I probably would down size to a smaller cooler. Not too much smaller but just a little bit. Everything works just fine and all but it’s a little bulky for my taste. Just depends on what your using it for I guess. I haven’t been Catfishing as much and using this for minnows is kind of overkill. But if I was using it to keep panfish in for Catfishing it would work just fine. Thanks for dropping by. Let me know how your build goes once you get finished. 🎣😎
Very nice job.
Thank you very much 🎣😎
I ordered the aerator, tubing, and stones and was actually looking at this exact cooler. Do you know if the top is hollow or is it insulated too?
If I’m not mistaken it’s also insulated. It would be goofy for it not to be. Let me know how your build goes. Mine is still working like a champ. Thanks for dropping by 🎣😎
@Paul catches em all I picked mine up today and it's hollow. I stopped by home depot and grabbed some spray foam insulation and plugs so I can drill holes in the corners and fill it from the center to get it completely full. I also ordered a rechargeable pump that is good for 72 hours and a separate 10,000 mah battery pack to compliment it, so it should be good for close to a week with no battery changes!
Dude that’s awesome! Your gonna have quite the set up man. I’m jealous 😆
Dang bro I was so busy yesterday I forgot to come back in and comment on this video which was Awesome by the way👌👌 you did a way better job than I did👍👍 from the listing of the parts to the Finish and a great-looking bait cooler👌👌😁😁😁😁👍 your Workshop table is sick by the way😋😋👌👌👌😁
Haha " that's what she said "🤣🤣🤣 I'm definitely going to have to redo mine and up my game LOL thanks a lot for the shoutouts Bro I really appreciate it😁😁👌👍👍
Thanks man!! I liked your idea so much I just changed a bit on mine and put a little spin on it. I hope that listing the parts would help anyone that’s not too familiar with everything would help out. And I love that work bench I got. I built that about 4 years ago and it comes in handy almost weekly. Thanks for the support bud 🎣😎
Very nice!
Thank you for the kind words! I appreciate the comment. Fish on buddy 🎣😎
did you make sure that glue was non-toxic? you may be killing your bait faster unknowingly.
Nice but always remember the hoses need changed out and that depends how much you use this
100%
And those air stones will eventually somehow get clogged by something somehow. Never bothered googling what clogs aquarium air stones. You can order ones that supposedly never clog though.
I live in Arkansas, what part are you from
I’m from Central bud. And that’s awesome your from Arkansas too! I love it when the local guys check out my videos! 😎🎣
They actually have rubber backed washers. Nice job.
Thanks man
That air bubbler is at battery operated
Yes it is, uses D batteries
Could have heated the blade and it would have been easier
Awesome idea, that would of made things much easier.
