    I tried this recipe today, and it turned out really good, soft, fluffy and it tastes good too. I've been looking for a whole wheat/meal bread recipe, and tried several recipes and methods, and finally found this. Definitely one that I'll use from now on :) Thanks Apron !!!

    Thank you for sharing. I saw this recipe and came down to the kitchen in the middle of night to soak my wholemeal flour 😂. The bread turned out so fluffy and soft even I only use rice cooker to bake it. ❤❤❤❤ I use the shaping up way as your wool bread. The bread is fully in my rice cooker🎉🎉 非常感谢你哦❤

    I made this bread and it turned out super soft and taste so good thats definitely a keeper!
    For all those asking about resting the wholewheat dough it doesn't have to be specifically 12hr but I thk the dough need to rest to release the gluten!so I made mine on a Saturday night and used it on Monday afternoon I just warm my milk slightly the result was amazing and the dough came out so soft!

      yes, wheat flr will make dough very dense and hard to be fluffy and light. Did it before n throw away the whole loaf (T.T)

    I just try this whole wheat bread is very soft, it is the most recipe I love. If I want to add more whole wheat flour, milk must be added or not.

      Whole wheat flour doesn't absorb moisture as easily as regular flour. It has bran, which is some of the "shell" of the grain, and it regulates how quickly the seed absorbs moisture so it doesn't rot before its ready to sprout. In general terms, of course. 🧐
      So a recipe with any kind of whole grain will not only need a bit more liquid, but some extra time in which to absorb it. I use the same "trick" when I bake cakes with nut "flours" and it works beautifully!

    Can I use less salt as using salted butter

      There is about the equivalent of 1/4 teaspoon salt in 1/2 cup salted butter, so you can adjust your recipe accordingly and the flavor will be comparable.

      Ahaha I ‘ll try to answer then, personnally I made it around 4 pm and took it back the next afternoon. And I had no problem baking it, even it had sat in the fridge for around 24 hours

    What cause the dough to become so sticky,not be able to kneading by hand after the first kneading in the machine like your video. I’m just afraid to use bread flour over.

      wholemeal flour is whole wheat flour. Bread flour is not the same as all purpose flour, bread flour has higher protein content and produces more gluten, gives the bread a more chewy texture.

    Everyone loves the bread. I brush top with melted butter when came out from oven. I like to increase Whole wheat flour to 150g, do I mix with 150 ml water and only use 170ml milk?

    Hi Apron, you have 120g whole wheat flour=1 cup. How come 350g bread flour = 2-1/2 cups? I think it is almost 3 cups. Should it be 300g as 1 cup = 120g? Can you please clarify? Thank you 🙏
