Mimi Hines and impressionist Jim Bailey are interviewed in this half-hour show with cable TV host Skip E. Lowe. Bailey discusses his meetings with Judy Garland.
I remember seeing Mimi Hines and Phil Ford (they were married and worked together-- at least at that time) in Funny Girl in the mid-sixties. But I could SWEAR we saw it in the Broadway Theatre. She mentions it was at the Winter Garden when she took over the role. I wonder if they moved it to the probably smaller Broadway later on if the audiences got smaller, or the lease ran out at the Winter Garden, or something...... Also playing with them was Johnny Desmond as Nicky Arnstein. Supposedly, in one performance, she slapped him in the face onstage!
Such terrific powerhouses, Mimi Hines and Jim Bailey! Y’ALL SHIIIIIINE! ❤❤❤❤❤🎉
I love all these interviews with Jim Bailey 📼

What was the show like?
She's great but I feel sorry for her, coping with this awful interviewer who keeps interrupting!
