Interesting result for Northampton! If the Peterborough result is the ssme then eastern England and East Midlands may come from a different refinery to the one supplying Oxford!

Yes, it's either that or Esso have sorted out the issue, as I haven't tested a local one for nearly 6 months. I'll be retesting one near me later this week. Thanks.

@@boilerhousegaragethat would be interesting to see if the result is the same as before or if its changed.

@@boilerhousegarage I think that retest will be really important. If it's the same as before then your local garage will be supplied from s different processing centre.

I may have missed it, but have you recently tested Esso Synergy 99 in Oxfordshire? If so, which video was that in? It's actually easier for me (in Oxford) to get Shell V-Power, but I was under the impression (from other sources), Esso Synergy was better, due to the different additive package and less ethanol, so had been using that, but some of your tests suggest otherwise?

Ah, I found the last Oxfordshire Esso/V-Power comparison in part 18 - doesn't look great for Esso Synergy in Oxfordshire, but sounds good for V-Power, so I guess I should switch to that, especially as the Shell garage at Little Waitrose in Headington, Oxford is only a 5 minute drive away from me... Tesco Momentum is another option, but it sounds like Shell (and Esso) has a more advanced additives package.

@@paulgroves8633 Thanks, Paul! I've got a Shell V-Power test coming next, but from a few hours North of us, but following that is the retest of Oxfordshire Esso Synergy.. My personal recommendation is to stick with Shell V-Power. I'm not sponsored nor affliated with them, but found it has the best additives, gets the best mpg, is always 99 octane or higher and is definitely ethanol-free in central and South of England (bar Devon and Cornwall). Surprisingly Tesco Momentum is also a superior petrol to even Esso, but only Momentum-not their 95 octane, which will be shite compared to Esso 95.

@@boilerhousegarage Thanks, yes I think I'll switch to Shell V-Power at my next fill up.

Hi Barry! The last guy sent it in using the 2-stroke measuring/mixing bottle for his lawnmower (which I returned of course), but anything that's air tight so it doesn't leak or smell would be fine. Just leave a bit of space for the vapour to expand. I need at least 700ml and will reimburse costs. If the post office ask what's in the parcel, it's probably worth saying car shampoo or something.
No obligation but if you did want to, then my email is oldboilerhouse@googlemail.com so I can send my postage address. Thanks!
