Just purchased ON1 Photo RAW, and this video (and others in the masking series) really helped me to get a grasp on using the Gradient Masking tool. I kept getting confused on which portion of the photo I was applying adjustments to, but your section at the end where you adjust the foreground really helped to show that. Well done. This entire series on masking will be so helpful to my learning. Thanks for putting these together.
NEO has been the news cycle due to all the updates and I have been spending entirely too much time in same. Getting back to the best replacement for LR "On1 Photo". Will watch and practice the series on gradient masking bug. Thanks for your due diligence on these fine tutorials.
Hello Scott, thank you for all the tutorials of the masking series. For me, the key learning point of this video was clicking and dragging to rotate the gradient in a smooth fashion. Your tutorials are clear and concise. Cheers!
More teaching done. I did not know you could click, drag and move the gradient down from the circle. I have always used the circle, but now I won't. Thumbs up sir.
The continuation of the series on masks in on1. really a good idea to detail the different possibilities. Great video. Thank you and look forward to the rest ;-)
Another great video Scott! The masking capabilities in ON1 Photo RAW are really great for photo developments. Looking forward to the next video. Regards Daniel
There is! And I forgot to mention that - thank you for asking that question. While rotating, press and hold the Shift key down and the gradient will snap to the nearest 45-degree angle.

Is there a quick way to bring the mask back to level, like holding down the shift key?
