My favorite part of the episode was Bakugo outright admitting to bullying Deku, rather than beating around the bushes. Especially with only him and Midoriya being the only ones to know about their past relationship. Anyone has the potential to change when put under the pressure from others around you, but it takes a lot to recognize that you messed and that you're willing to change. Bakugo's character development is amazing

In case y’all were wondering, what Bakugo was doing last episode that he couldn’t save Eraserhead was cut out of the anime. In the manga Shigaraki had 2 quirk erasing bullets. He threw the second one towards Endeavor and Bakugo destroyed that one before it could hit, saving Endeavor from getting his quirk destroyed
We tried explaining that last week but people said “oh they are gonna show it next episode”. which they didn’t even do. But obviously it’s because that’s very minuscule compared to the moves bakugo did this episode. I just find it funny people thought manga readers was spoiling things
Why tf did they cut that though? Seems like such a very important detail cut out for no good reason? Are they that desperate to fit to their schedule? Not even a manga reader but i swear this "25 episode" limit per season system they have is ruining the show.
@@namelessking111 Couldn’t tell ya. I always blame issues with MHA’s anime on the contract they have. A 25 episode season roughly every year instead of a longer wait for seasons to be properly done was a poor decision. Not to mention the censorship due to it airings on a channel and time-slot for children in Japan. Makes it so things like Redestro blowing off half of Shigaraki’s hand doesn’t make it into the anime but now anime only viewers have no context for why Shigaraki is missing fingers this season
Who else was dying for them to upload just see what Rob would say about Deku? Pleasantly surprised that he ain't talking crap anymore. That's right, this season Deku deserves everyone's respect!

Bakugo had an Uraraka's moment. The difference is that Bakugo knows about One For All. He said One or All was a cursed quirk. One For All had to carry the burden of facing the most powerful and dangerous evil, and Deku is such a person that would take that burden no questions asked, but who would protect Deku instead? Bakugo didnt think Deku deserve such fate.
I love this ⭐️. I never thought about how similar Bakugo's thought process in thia moment was to Uraraka's conviction as a hero.
Yeah!! So true! She talks about who protects the hero before jumping in to save Deku from his own quirk and Bakugo does it here. They’re like dekus protectors
In their own different ways, they both seem to understand the difficult burden that's been placed on Deku. What's interesting is that Uraraka was able to pick up on it despite not knowing anything about OFA.
@@HandlesSuck123 Uraraka's conviction extends to any hero in danger, not only Deku, though she was inspired by Deku. Bakugo on the other hand understands what Deku been through, especially what he himself has put Deku through, and what Deku will have to face going forward.
Wow, I love that similarity. I never noticed that before, but I like how Bakugou saved Deku because he knew he was a selfless person who doesn’t look out for himself, and he sees that invisible burden. That’s why he said that One For All may be a curse, specifically for Deku, because of everything he’s been through.
We see in this episode that Bakugo and Deku truly take after each other when their backs are against the wall. Deku said he starts hurling insults when he gets into a really intense fight like Bakugo. Where his confidence flares up and he has an overwhelming desire to win. And in this episode, Bakugo embraces Deku's behavior of running out to save whoever needs help. Anyone, even if the other person feels they don't need it. When Deku is pushed into a corner, he adopts Bakugo's win to save mentality. And now Bakugo has adopted Deku's save to win mentality
Now onto Shiggy, that boy has the endurance of a lifetime. Taking blasts from Endeavor. Strikes from a dragon. Blasts from Bakugo. Multiple 100% smashes from Deku. All while resisting AFO's voice in his head. In fact, the only reason AFO was able to temporarily take over was because Shigaraki's body and mind were overwhelmed for a second. Which says a lot about Tomura's sheer willpower. Both sides are going beyond their limits.

16:38 Bakugo can only be compared with Vegeta to a certain degree. Vegeta never worried about Goku's well being, he always has high expectation towards Goku's abilty. Bakugo on the other hand, genuinely worries about Deku, he even pushed All Might to answer the question regarding the fourth OFA user, and just stated that Deku's trust him (All Might), so he's okay with it.
Let's acknowledge that Eraser cut his leg off without blinking and deactivating his quirk.

I've never seen a character cries as much as Deku but Deku's crying is probably one of the best moment in this show. From crying for himself not being able to be a hero, to crying from rage of not being able to protect his mentors and comrades. Both reasons made him charge head first into danger. A statement to not underestimate an emotional man. Made me worry of what he could become if he's being pushed too far. Will he able to save people with all his might and a smile on his face like superman. Or will he be on a mission to exterminate all evil by any means necessary with a face of rage like the punisher.

Not really. It's explained at the start that true heroes just protect people without thinking about themselves.

Yes, and it’s annoying. I get that the animation may not have been good as the manga reader were expecting but it was still great.
You can always rely on manga readers to kill the mood. It's ok to criticize and not like something, but let anime onlies enjoy stuff for what they are.

@@ffion4278 Exactly. The impact was there for me. It’s like the manga readers are trying to speak for everyone. I feel the anger from Deku, I felt how amazed Bakugo was seeing Deku go crazy, and I felt the panic from Shiggy. Bones did a great job especially for the time they had.

It almost feels like Bakugou is now at the point that Izuku was at at the start of the story, at least selflessness-wise. And now that it’s come full circle he can final start to rise, that’s my take away from the title and the rest of the episode.
Yeah the "my body moved on it's own" is a parallel to when Deku saved Bakugou from the sludge villain in the beginning
Agreed, he had the physical that Deku lacked. Deku got the physical part and Bakugo finally got the spirit side of it.

@@jrephent8631 yes Sasuke and Naruto relationship has quite a few similarities to Bakugou and Deku's. Like how Sasuke used to bully Naruto and call him a loser and was jealous of him. Tho unlike Sasuke, Bakugou was offered the dark side and he basically said f*ck you I'm the hero lol

Jokes aside; what an amazing episode for our main duo. Bakugou goes through one of the greatest character development I've seen in an anime and Madman Deku makes a comeback with his balls sounding like they've finally dropped. Nothing scarier than a little broccoli man out for blood.
Bakugo and deku were both mvps this episode, deku was a bit dumb and reckless but atleast he was stalling shigaraki which was huge. Rob they evened showed a scene where it shows bakugo going to help gran torino, I mean if bakugo didnt go then nobody would have been there and grand torin probs would have died, stop hating rob.

A lot of people saying that Bakugo saying "my body moved on its own" mirrors Deku saying the same in ep1. No, it doesn't. I mean that's what happened, but the words came from All Might in ep2.
What this means is that Bakugo has finally reached the trait which All Might claimed was common in all great heroes. This was truly his rising, his beginning of becoming a great hero.
Uhhh he actually did...when Deku ran to help Bakugou from the sludge villian, Bakugou said “You, why (did you come here)?” And Deku replied “I don’t know why, my legs moved on its own.” It’s not the exact same words but I think the credit goes to Deku on this one.
I’m so excited for rather episode 10 or 11
