dident know that overlords main character hade watched a none magic earth being destroyed by coperations , religion and industries..... is there any base line sumeration anywhere to read of anz and his worlds history before the overlord show itself ? the snips I seen of it made me think it was sort of a matrix deal ^^

My favorite thing about the sorcerer kingdom is that to everyone outside of the sorcerer kingdom it is hell but to the people who live there it is just amazing unless you draw your weapon within the city. Then you join "the army" by force.
This is what I love about Overlord. Nazarick are evil their is no doubt about it but honestly you want them to take over the world because they at least bring a sense of order to this place. Its basically choosing Lawful Evil over Chaotic Evil.

He should start creating a professional standing army that obey only the king himself and not any vassal or lord.
the tomb is basically a somewhat self-sustainable industrial complex that is slowly advancing all of its conquered territories to make them efficient enough to help it become fully self sustainable, in short, the best place to go to if you want to thrive in a secure civilization
One of the unique things that put Overlord above all other Isekais is that everything has a lore or background. The World, The History, Magic, Mythology and its Characters. You could simply appreciate how this story and world came to be and will be under Ainz Ooal Gown.

Honestly this is the ideal behind autocratic systems. Basically, the Sorcerous kingdom is the idealogicaly perfect autocracy - with a supreme, all powerful immortal at the head. And how it is portrayed in overlord is probably one of the only ways it can be possible.
I wonder how Ainz (or the character nehind him) can keep up with the requirements of his new found dynasty. The ever changing politcal landscape and the constant power check with his loyal guardians, this will be a interesting test from someone who came from playing a online rpg guild base game.

Nazarik will likely annex the Dwarves sooner or later. They’ve already done a great service to them, and likely the Dwarves feel indebted to Einz. It would be a massive coup, to gain all that territory by diplomacy and not necessarily conquest will shake the empires surrounding it. Making them nervous, this major control of future trade lanes and holding a major crossroads will either bring them all into conflict with Nazarik, or they will try to leverage Nazarik to take out their political opponents. Re-Esties would be what I imagine is the next major territorial change. My guess is the girl becomes the next queen, bargains the kingdom away to Einz for a chance to be with her beloved and for protection. The rest of the royal and noble faction will likely cripple itself in a scramble to stop her, but be taken out by the shadow government under Einz’s direction. I’m also assuming there will be a bargain plea made by the princess to have a level of power still and to protect the citizens from “exploitation”. Demiurge i’m looking at you. From there I think the puppet state of Baharoot will attempt to retake power or Siege E-Rantel under the presumption that it is the De-Jure capital of the Sorcerer’s kingdom to force more agreeable terms or in a very desperate hope to catch Einz with his “pants down” so to speak, however Nazarik will likely flank them and cut them off with high level summons and probably Albedo or Kokitus with a combination Lizard-men army with Skeletons for a show of force. If it’s just Albedo she’s just going to rip through them all like butter. Then they will likely be forcibly annexed. So that’s most of the central continental holdings, and assuming this is just the first zone...well I’m assuming this is going to be a full world conquest, so the map will likely expand as they grow more powerful and wealthy. Mix this with their vastly superior understanding of economy and Einz is sitting pretty on a VERY powerful Empire already. Mix it with him being basically god tier powerful and the rest of the planet is in for a really rough time. (Also the Viagra bit made me laugh like a madman, what a potion master!)

You will never unsee this when you read below. Holy Kingdom is in Egypt. Council State is Lower Turkey. Re-Estize is Israel/Palestine/ Lebanon. The Empire - Re-Estize boarder is the Iraq-Iran boarder. Slane Theocracy and Demi-human territory are splitting Saudi Arabia. Look at the Middle East map and then this one. It's extremely identical.
I was drawing parallels early on, although I was slightly hesitant to say it is exactly that. I wouldn’t be terribly surprised if this is indeed an alternate Earth. Just new names and different kingdoms, just distant politics. If anything, there are some minor differences. The mountain ranges are a bit off, and there are far more full grasslands than to be expected, however, Baharoot and another kingdom down near the Demihuman Exclave make for possible parallels to Egypt and Persia respectively. After all, there used to be a much larger lake system north of Persia until the soviets goofed the biome up with Dams. So it’s a perhaps. The Dragon empire mirrors the southern Iranian mountains a fair bit, and the Slane Theocracy reminds me of another THEOCRATIC state in the region... I haven’t seen Argonia yet though, so I’ll have to wait for more details but it could mimic Byzantium. Re-Estze would be Israel, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon, which In all honesty is a powerhouse, but it’s more related to what I’d assume a European kingdom from the era to look like than a Middle Eastern one. It’s honestly fascinating how they’ve molded overlord’s world-building so I look forward to seeing what comes of it.

I don't read the LN, only watch the anime. But I wonder where it will go, since the MC's faction is basically OP and will obviously conquer the entire world. Will it end in stagnation like other harem isekai anime, where the MC conquers everything and ends up turning to comedy harem anime with nothing happening? Or will there be a kind of twist where a real enemy or even player comes out of the woodwork to challenge Ainz? Or at the very least some plot twist about what happened to the players in that world. And of course how the MC even survives down the line? Is he perpetually trapped in that world? What of his physical body?
What do you think is the significance of the city state alliance in the grand scheme of things? A whole chapter was dedicated to it in the 14th novel. Yet other than some adventurers going there to roost after getting their home towns destroyed and Ramposa 3 wanting Renner and Zainac to flee there, no other significant event has gone on there to warrant its own chapter. You think Ainz will want to fight in the mutual wallop tournament to advertise his kingdom? Or some other special event will happen there?

I can't wait for a noble to pay for his/her crimes with a public execution. That to me would send a clear signal to all the people of the various lands that no but Aniz sama is above the law. Plus it would boost his "Heart Meter" points in the eyes of the so called commoners. They would become a legion of eyes for the tomb. They would be everywhere, reporting the movements/deeds of the tombs enemies becuase the better lives they now live.

I dont see how technological development can even lead to pollution in this world. Need an engine? Use a Stirling engine with an 2 enchanted rocks which produce heat and frost= 100% clean energy. Or use undead to turn generators. The reason this wont happen isnt cuz pollution has to be stopped, but because Nazarik doesnt want to allow NW individuals to become more powerful than them.

I believe it was a conclusion because the people who attacked shaltear where heading that way to fight him and where ambushed by shaltear in the forest. If I'm remembering correctly

But I wonder where it will go, since the MC's faction is basically OP and will obviously conquer the entire world.
Will it end in stagnation like other harem isekai anime, where the MC conquers everything and ends up turning to comedy harem anime with nothing happening?
Or will there be a kind of twist where a real enemy or even player comes out of the woodwork to challenge Ainz?
Or at the very least some plot twist about what happened to the players in that world.
And of course how the MC even survives down the line? Is he perpetually trapped in that world? What of his physical body?

What do you think is the significance of the city state alliance in the grand scheme of things? A whole chapter was dedicated to it in the 14th novel. Yet other than some adventurers going there to roost after getting their home towns destroyed and Ramposa 3 wanting Renner and Zainac to flee there, no other significant event has gone on there to warrant its own chapter. You think Ainz will want to fight in the mutual wallop tournament to advertise his kingdom? Or some other special event will happen there?
I believe either Ainz or Pandora will participate in the olympic games, starting soon.

I dont see how technological development can even lead to pollution in this world. Need an engine? Use a Stirling engine with an 2 enchanted rocks which produce heat and frost= 100% clean energy. Or use undead to turn generators.
