Excellent craftsmanship! You made a classic Florsheim even better. Did you consider installing a half sole protector like a Vibram 2340 and the accompanying 5340 top lift to make the sole more durable? Thanks.
I've never seen those LuLu toe plates used on the heels. A very novel idea. The model number of the Florsheim Golden Harvest is 93631. The date of manufacture is a two-letter code next to the model number, something like GH, where the first letter is the month and the second letter is the last digit of the year. So GH would be July of year xxx7 (A=0). Could be 1977 or 1987. So based upon other information, such as the label style, construction, etc., you can make an assumption about the year.
Lol I hate that noise as much as you do, the problem is I dont like it moving so loose. I like it tight enough to where It moves, but doesn't swing all over the place.
They Came Out Beautiful.
Thank you 🙏
Gorgeous shoes. Great job! Nice closeup of the Landis sewing machine. Amazing to realize somebody invented that complex machine.

Thanks! The customer wanted to keep as original. Adding sole guards in the future is still possible if he wanted to add them
That heel plate Was Implemented on the heel. They were all V-Cleats when Golden Harvest was first introduced from the 1960's to Late 70's.
