Yum I would suggest making 1.5 times for a cake. This was just enough for a two tier round cake with me hiding a thin layer on the side with walnuts. Also, I add less sugar (in almost any frosting I make, not because I want it to be healthier, but because I think it tastes better). I don't measure. I just taste after every 1/4 cup (appx.). I probably put about 3/4 cup sugar. And don't be cheap, get Philadelphia. Off-brand just isn't as good.

This is the best frosting I tried so far, I am absolutely I love with it and it is really easy to make. The taste and texture is perfect, and I used it for cake pops. The only thing about it is that I would just add a little less vanilla, but other than that thank you for sharing these recipe.🤩

This is a dank recipe. I made it today and it tastes like straight butter🙄 so i went to the cookbook. Its only 1 tbsp of butter per cup of confectioners sugar. I had to try and fix it by adding 5 more cups of confection sugar and vanilla.
No, it will be grainy and not smooth at all if you use granulated sugar. confectioners sugar, also known as icing sugar and powdered sugar helps sweeten the frosting but keep it smooth and creamy :)
