This video is great. It completely flips the stereotypes about the UK and the US on their heads. The UK is shown not to be the stuffy, rigid, excruciatingly formal place the US often portrays it to be. Equally, we're reminded that US culture perhaps isn't necessarily represented by a Clint Eastwood (a rugged individual free to determine his own destiny), but perhaps by Ted Cruz, a puritanical, clean-cut family man unable to express the slightest individuality.

To be fair it was sorta outta context cause people kept clapping in the middle of his speech, accidentally interrupting him multiple times so he said he would let them know when he's done talking. Still funny to hear that clip though
As an American, it never ceases to amaze me the advanced level of English which English people speak. I watched Borris say "supine protoplasmic invertebrate" and thought what percent of our congress knows what that even means?
While the average Englishman isn't as well read as Boris and come from fancy boarding schools, it's not exactly too surprising that we have a wider diction on average than Americans. I mean. England is where English comes from. No real surprises there.

3:38 I love how Theresa's mind was already back at the hotel but she hadn't even started the meeting yet
As an American, it never ceases to amaze me the advanced level of English which English people speak. I watched Borris say "supine protoplasmic invertebrate" and thought what percent of our congress knows what that even means?
The average guy on the street doesn't talk like that. UK politicians mostly come from a couple of snobby boarding schools.
While the average Englishman isn't as well read as Boris and come from fancy boarding schools, it's not exactly too surprising that we have a wider diction on average than Americans.
I mean. England is where English comes from. No real surprises there.

It says an Aussie or Kiwi that lives in the northern hemisphere.
Well is he actually an antipodean?
