Do have a video that shows the “after” sealing image of this painting? Thank you for demonstrating your sealing process. I would like to see a before and after before I really give it a go.
I'm so glad you did this video. It's let me see just how easy it is to seal the paintings. I already made up my mind to buy this sealer but now it'll be sooner than later. Thanks! ☺️
Thank you so much for showing us how you seal them! I have tried Mod Podge and wasn’t thrilled with it. Even the high gloss one seemed to dull the drills! I have been looking for this product since you first mentioned it but my Walmart is always out. Today I found it at Lowe’s Home Improvement store and was so excited to buy it!!! Thanks again! I love your videos and never miss a single one!!!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!!!!!!
Linda price linked this video on Facebook, and I came to see what you used. I just sealed my first diamond paintings and used stuff I got on amazon and was happy with it. I like the toothbrush trick. Thanks for sharing Lynn. This sounds like a pretty good deal. I like that is shows where you have been. The stuff I used was clear and I was a bit heavy handed. 👍🤗💕
I used a toothbrush but now I use a scrubber type brush I got from the Dollar Tree. It's white and has blue bristles going around the edge if anyone wanted to look for it. I kept misplacing the toothbrush :)
If anyone has a Michaels near them they have diamond paintings on sale on the end caps. I bought mine online for 7.49 plus used a special code for 20% off and having them picked up at the store by a friend.
My neighbor is going to our large city for Christmas so her daughter picked it up for me and she will bring it back after Christmas. We live in a very small town also. I just ask around to see who might be going there like for a Costco run, doctor appt, hospital visit or for a holiday or birthday. We help each other out.
Hi Teresa I ordered several online yesterday from Michael's yesterday. I can't wait for them to come in so can do an unboxing review. 😍They all seemed to be winter themed which is just fine. Which one did you get? ☺
Thanks for this video. I have watched it several times. I have been using something else that I am happy with but the painting I plan to seal has pop up problems. Thought minwax would be better.
Thanks DG! I use a toothbrush 🪥as well.i also use it as i go along to get the wax out of the cracks. Love that painting as well. I've been using modge podge matte but I'm going to try the minwax. I have a question I'm making a painting for my best friend/sister in law who lives 900 miles away. I'm thinking of soft framing it but don't know how to mail it so it won't be damaged. Any ideas? Love you miss Lynn have a great week give your mom a hug for me. Blessings to you and your family. I use a foam brush and toss it. I'm the same way jump in feet first and off I go. Adapting as I go along. Diamond painting is the best hobby ever. I wish I had found it before I was an old lady lol I'm making up for lost time
Thank you Diamond Grandma, I never thought of using a toothbrush. Can a toothbrush take off dog hairs? My Doxle ( Dashshund Beagle mix) sheds like no tomorrow. I am always taking his fur samples off the canvas I am working on. I would be really interested in knowing.
*You glue your diamond paintings onto painters canvases? What kind of glue do you use to attach it? Also, have you ever used frames for you diamond paintings? I'm loving your tutorials. 😍😍😍* Sharon in SC
Do you know if I should seal diamond painting done on cardstock greeting cards? If so, can it be done so that the cardstock isn’t warped or ruined? Thank you! PS. If anyone else knows the answer feel free to comment here too!!
*Do you know if this stuff is good to use on Regular paintings done on canvas with acrylic paints? I shared this video out on my community tab. I look forward to learning from you. I'm a Newbie to Diamond painting. 😍😍😍* Sharon in SC
Thanks for showing how you seal. It's exactly the same as modpodge except one step. I have only sealed with mod podge and always wipe off the tops with a wet wipe after applying. I was surprised to see that you didn't do the step of wiping. Do the diamonds still give off the shine?
I have used mod podge but was wondering how this would work. I am going to try this with a special one. Would it work if you needed to roll the sealed canvas around a pool noodle for shipping?
Thanks so much for sharing this! I have bought a quart of Minwax, and am ready to try it. Will sealing a diamond painting help keep the drills from shifting or popping off? My current project is not quite as *sticky* and I am having to be really careful to keep some of the drill in place. Hoping that once it's sealed, that will fix that problem!!
Thank you so much for posting this. I'm one of those that is nervous about sealing. This video has now given me the confidence I need. THANK YOU
Go for it chick a dee it will work out!!! So proud it was useful
I was like that too for a real long time. Sealing is so final after all your hard work. But I like this stuff too. It works!

I do mine the same way and I have tried them all..clear glue, mod podge, spray..Love the minwax

Wrap it real good in bubble wrap and paper towels
Thank you .
Thank you 😊 I have tried Modpoge but I dislike it. I will be going to Walmart forthwith to get a quart.

Thanks for posting this; it's very helpful. I was wondering, is there a strong smell? I have severe asthma and can't be around a lot of fumes/smells.
It’s not strong smell to me
@@diamondgrandma1048 Thanks 🙂
Can you roll large paintings up after you seal them with mini wax
Just want you to know I just love all your shows your the best
It will be stiff I have never tried
I have used mod podge but was wondering how this would work. I am going to try this with a special one. Would it work if you needed to roll the sealed canvas around a pool noodle for shipping?
I haven’t tried that I say try it on a canvas that’s not really important and try it

Once it is sealed it will stay
How do you trim your diamond paintings so close. I can't cut straight for the life of me.
Pair of scissors
*Hello, I'm your 160th Thumbs up. Here watching I've been looking for how to video, so thank you for this!!! 😊😊😊* Sharon in SC
Soft bristles?
Yes
I could only find the clear semi-gloss at my Walmart. Do you think it will diminish the sparkle to much? Thank you
I would just use the clear gloss the semi would take some of the shine away
@@diamondgrandma1048 thank you !
I have a very important question for you. Have you ever noticed any kind of yellowing after a long period of time ?
Nope
Thank you !!
Love minwax.
