    For sector identification, it might be a good idea to have a variety of sounds, one for each sector. This way you'll know without looking, where the breach is.

      Yes, I am looking for a small sound board to change the sound of each... Also making it programable

      Lumberman2011 Thanks Ed, I am working on blue prints and all the trip wires I have created so far and posting a book on amazon, only for like 2 bucks, to include a video on the builds. I have reworked the M96 and I am making it smaller. Takes time, because a lot of my electronics are from over sea's and take for ever to get here.... Thanks for watching my friend

    one of if not the best I've seen so far. There are two features I would add if I use your design. A trigger with counter pull, so if the line is cut a spring pulls the the trigger inward and sets it off. The second thing is an electrical connecter. It can be powered or just a switch

    I really like what you are doing here. Camping security is near and dear to my heart. I am much more concerned about two legged vermin than four legged beasts. In our hi-tech age we tend to go for electric and electronic solutions, all of which are vulnerable to EMP/MCE, societal collapse and no more batteries (or anything else) or weather and rust. The PVC pipe is a good container, but consider going low-tech for the innards, something that will survive due to less vulnerability. Like... a blank shotgun round and spring trip. You will find many designs here on YT, but you will have to adapt to your pipe, which is easy for anyone with hand skills like yourself. You can either use a blank to just make a bang that is much louder than 200dB, or you can dd something to signal which alarm was fired, like some white, yellow, orange or red powder that blasts out with the discharge. Just look for the cloud and you know where the wire is (or wires are, in case of double trips). No batteries to fail or replace. No electronics to be toasted in an EMP. Just stock a box or two of blanks and some powder. They can sit a year or two or ten and not degrade. Very cheap materials.

    • @CentralOregonSurvival
      @CentralOregonSurvival  7 років тому

      Yes, there is the what if scenario's for sure!! I agree, a very large EMP, which it would have to be, would change everything and put everyone on a close playing field, so to speak. Shell devices are a great alternative to electronic sound devices, or in some cases better. The biggest issue I have with 12g or .22 cal sounds devices, not used in a lethal application, it there is one loud bang. I also make several of these devices and have DIY's, to include a 12g land mine (can't show that one on UA-cam). Yes, loud and sometimes scary to the person who trips it, but if you where in the woods, or not near the device, or have multi able... Which one was it? Like shooting a three rounds in the wilderness to be located, not a single. I think a single bang, gives the desperate an early warning while you are trying to figure out what direction it came from. Not saying one is better then the other, I have both, but I like something that allows me to find direction or sector quickly... But we could talk what if's all day, that is why I like this platform. Always makes you think... Thanks for the excellent comment!!

    I found dry sea sponge (natural tan color) in a crafts supply store, hollowed it out, touch up with camo spray paints, used it to hide a camera and audio recorder. Spray foam is another option, just form a general blob then shape it into a non-geometric form, spray paint camo to match the area.

      A line of painted (tan/mustard), 4 barb barbwire works very well when suspended 4 to 6in above ground. Every 6 to 8ft, wire to a 1/2 to 3/4in diameter rebar about 3ft long, with soft rebar ties, also painted on top foot or so..+ the ties. Trips well.
      Then have yer blanks...or the other way around.
      Electric fence wire works very well with light wire ties like 28 to 32ga copper wire. Makes great tanglefoot as the wire likes to revert back on itself. Use tan or whatever matches the surroundings.
      That is to say "season". Same for the Above as for color. In Oklahoma, the grass and brush is mostly tan/mustard with some light o.d.. In hot and dry years, it can be green when the late rain comes in October. If it don't come, may be the tan will apply to 9 or 10 months!
      I use mil spec camo spray paint. Goes on super easy and won't just come off when touched.

    I used to make a low tech banger out of a mouse trap and shotgun primer or primers. Inexpensive, low tech and by sealing the open end of the primer with candle wax (just push it into a the side candle) waterproof. I never submerged any, so maybe water resistant is more correct.The wooden base in the mouse trap can be nailed directly, screwed or taped to most any surface and paint them to match or blend in. Just drill a hole or holes for the primer where the bail hits, then kink the bail so the point of the kink hits the center of the primer. I used to make them to prank my roommates. You can drill a hole for the string or put a staple in the wooden base and run the string through that. With a little work and multiple primers they get really loud.

    I've created a similar alarm system to your final evolution.
    It can be triggered by a physical trip wire or a Lazer trip wire (if the laser is used there is a delay in flare firing as trigger mechanism is a spring loaded trigger, yet instant fire on the trip wire that's a line), it has a upward directional flare gun modification which when triggered fires a colored flare up in the air giving away the position of the breach. I'm currently implementing another defensive measure bring a gas mixure release that will create a smoke cloud in the surrounding area. The dispersal system is where I'm having problems.
    It shoots directly out of the opened area, and only disperses to one side of the alarm. I'm adding directional fans, 3 additional exhaust ports as well as a pepper spray mixture to the smoke gas mixture.

    • @CentralOregonSurvival
      @CentralOregonSurvival  10 місяців тому

      Awesome!!!! Did you get it built???? DO you have a video of it?? I am using a cube light to light the area next. Flare would be nice, but fires here are a danger with flares...

    Whatever you do don't use Bud light cans as a tripwire alarm. They will know you are a light-weight. 😉 Just joking of course. You gave me a good idea. It will be Sleemans honey brown cans of course. Nothing but the best will do. 👌 I am an electronics technician so appreciate the light switch alarm and have made items from P.V.C./A.B.S. so like that alarm too. Yes even if the water resistant ones work in the rain they may not work below freezing if there is only a little moisture in there. Anyone who doesn't like 9 volt batteries can use six double A batteries in series. I bet you even four would work if not quite as loudly or as long. Time to get the breadboard out and experiment. 😉

    I have a wireless perimeter sensor like that I made from Electronics. It works off microwaves. The only way you can hide from it is to be covered in Steel. It even goes through walls.

    Impressive. We have Car Breakers in our Development, and want to use something like this, along with s Dummy Purse filled with Scorpions and a couple of Diamond Backs or Cottonmouth's. My Truck has been rummaged through, but nothing of significant value taken, same Punk Hoodie Wearing Thugs. I want this and something else like a dummy Strongbox or Purse, when opened emits a Dye Pack that has Capsicum, Capsascian that illuminates under a Woods Lamp. (Black Light) Incapacitation is the first thing I would want to do in my Suburban tactical situation, to subdue these punks. Given enough seconds They'll run an my neighbors will know what happened. I'm talking about punks sneaking out at night, taking Chances. I'm the kind that stays up till 04:30 AM sometimes, Locked and Loaded. I believe in protecting what is Mine. I like the Gear you have demonstrated. The PVC Pipe lends more to sound resonance and will carry the noise better. Food For Thought.

      +Mark Stephenson Thank you for watching and the constructive comments... I have developed an even smaller version with the capability of lighting. It also has a trigger that if cut, it goes off, tripped, it will go off, and added a mercury switch, tilt over 40 degree's and it goes off... It is pretty sweet, I need to do a video of it after my testing is complete. Thanks again!!

    You need to make one that projects a brilliant white strobe light that temporarily blinds and disorientates (faces the intruder) a trespasser as well as makes it easily identifiable in the event that you have several alarms set around a parameter.

      Very cool, I am going to get the design out I have so for, don't know exactly how yet, maybe a video build, but some people are going to need more, so may even post a amazon DIY book with very detailed instructions. (not a money maker scheme, just a couple bucks to pay for my time) And then I am also adding in a rechargeable version and LED plug in light that will illuminate the target later down the road. Thanks for the interest, and know I am working on it!!!

    Make ssmple non electrical , flat board with bungee cords- using 410 unfired shotgun shell emptied of shot and with springs and bodies of fat ball point click pens, modify nail. By filing small notch as catch, and modified side clik. To attach trip wire to clicker..
    Noise frightens critters, once jumped up in time to see bear hauling ass crossing river 30 feet from tent.
    Total cost and is reusable about 4 bucks including 3" 410 round under 30 minutes to build, and no the damn thing ain't waterproof.

      +embarado smithing and woodcraft Yes, I have been working on a book of 10 traps that has all the schematics and supplies lists. I am going to publish it on amazon and do a corresponding video. It will be down load PDF file and I am not going to charge very much for it, as I will be adding more every year... Probably 4.99 or something... I need to finish it, but time seems to be a factor between a full time job, and family... LOL I have made some pretty awesome light traps as well, but haven't posted video's yet... I figure I can make how to video's, but a lot of people want to have a book or reference for later, so why not a book... +Gavin Brown I am working on a book with several designs with diagrams and material lists and then I will post where to get it... I would just do a video, but there is some technical stuff, some people will need more detail with... It will be a cheap reference book, I am not trying to make a bunch of money, but rather give people a great product they can build themselves from there local hardware store...

    I never seen this video before, but I have done the same thing ,kinda, with the $1 window alarms from dollar tree but I put a spring on so the alarm dosen't just keep sounding when the magnetic is pulled away it makes a sound when you ferst hit the tripwire and then it springs back into place shutting the alarm off making enough noise to alert me but not just keep sounding so long that it attracts to much attention by my nabor or who ever

    Great video, causes me to think outside the box. Simple question: I have coyotes and antelope all over my property. When a trip wire is set off at night, it looks like I need an infrared scope. If I see nothing, do I assume it's an animal and go out and turn it off or do I simply listen to the noise all night? If a bad guy were out there, wouldn't he simply wait for me to come out to turn it off? If you're writing a book, please cover pros and cons of how to respond to an alarm. Thanks

    The one with the magnet is probably too sensitive for much practical use. A stiff breeze could trip it. If I'm camping, I don't want the night breeze waking me up.

    One can add wires where the battery plugs in. Add battery of choice, unless voltage is to high. Add a power resistor to avoid burning out buzzer. Could just make it louder and not hurt it.
