How to make a wooden hand plane Part 1

Part 1 of 3.
You can apply the same principles to a smoothing plane or jack plane (you make the mouth opening in front of the iron smaller).
It is a good idea to start out with a mouth opening tighter than you think you need to, it often ends up bigger.
