- Shield Sheldon's stage, the Laser Institute, from Mega Man X6 for the Sony Playstation PSX. No damage taken, buster only. A relatively short and painless stage here, however the boss more than makes up for its simplicity.
The Laser Institue ofcourse incorporates several lasers that must be refracted correctly to open doors and thus progress. Each time a mirror is shot, it will change angle by rotation. These must be aligned correctly to reflect the lasers path directly at the door. Some trial and error may be required here. Note the laser stream itself does not damage X. Only the beginning of the stream and at the points at which it intersects, or refracts, with the mirrors cause damage.
Shield Sheldon's first phase is generally easy to deal with. He will spam throwing his two shells at X- one at an angle, and one directly at X along the floor. The shell that travels along the ground can be simply ducked under. He will also retreat to his shells and bounce around the room at random. His first phase will also sometimes involve Shield Sheldon creating a clone. Both will then throw shells at X, though he didn't get it off in this particular encounter. Notice the shells move slow and are quite predictable. His second phase is extremely difficult to avoid damage. He will produce energy shields on all four sides of him. These will require damage to shrink and expose Shield Sheldon, therefore leaving him vulnerable to attack. However, the shields are the least of your worries during this phase. He will slowly track X around the room. He stays on target quite efficiently and it requires some careful maneuvering to get around him. I found the only way to evade damage here was to lead him to the top of the room, then drop down to the floor and quickly dash beneath him. Shield Sheldon's weakness is the Metal Anchor/Rakukojin.

Feel sorry for Shield Sheldon. some of X6 Mavericks aren't even mavericks at all.
Yeah they were killed and reprogrammed by gate. Or killed themselves.

@@gaalxystar1873 True, but Gate is essentially their father. It's hard to turn down your own dad, especially when he went through so much trouble to resurrect them after they were unjustly murdered or framed.
I love how short the stage is.

It's very memorable.
You know, I kinda like Shield Sheldon. I like his design because it was sorta unique, his stage is a challenging puzzle if you want to go for the armor piece, and his fight is pretty decent. Although, what I don't like about Sheldon is the weapon he gives you for X. I don't remember the one you get for Zero. (:

The Puzzle’s were a bit easy. At least they weren’t as hard as some Puzzles in the Legend of Zelda games.
@@bigcreator2084The only disadvantage is that Zero cannot use the Guard Shell Upwards & Downwards compared to X.
You made that boss fight look easy. This stage is short. I'm guessing the stage part was quick to master. Good gameplay!
his first phase is easy. no problem at all. but his second phase was incredibly difficult. he constantly tracks you and its hard to get a shot in-between those energy shields. the only way i could avoid damage, while he's tracking you, was to lead him to the top of the room, then fall below and dash under him. The timing here has to be just right. like you said, the stage itself was kinda easy to master. so most of my time clearing this stage was spent on clam man.
Shortest stage and easiest boss in the game. Great job as usual.
Yammark is way easier
Red Horse Ground Scaravich is way more easier as well

even in this short stage u show the skills omg wp.
They are the reflector unit. And. The infrector. The right lazors appear to be doing the inflection to inflect the razor. I witness the experiment that experimentation the devise which infrect the raser before. On that trial that have conducting the test, you are rotating the device to turn and rotate the devices. I have the lack certainty that say for certain that devices are same ones though, for being unvisible and not able to be perceived through site and by my visioms here. But one thing sure they Nightmare phenomenanon.

I am surprised that you haven't at least equipped the quick charge part.
thought about it, but i like using the half charged buster shot at times. and i thought since im using the plasma shot, quick charging that might just be too easy. but i did consider it.

Well... I defeated Sheldon with Blade Armor. I'm not good in using Blade Armor and Zero, I like Ultimate and Falcon armor more

It's really a shame that you need to cheat to get the only armor that has the hover ability in this game, it was so damn useful in X4

Stage cool but his shield is THE WORST WEAPON in all of MEGAMAN X
