StockX no longer guaranteeing authentic sneakers! Still safe to buy?

- StockX just updated their verification terms, removing all claims of authenticity from their site. Is it still safe to buy sneakers from Stockx?

They do sell authentic sneaker, but they are not allowed to write 100% anymore

From what I read on the website they are committed to verifying the authenticity of the stuff on their platform. The reason I think they did this is because fakes are getting more real and higher quality and it’s becoming a lot harder to find frauds when you have thousands of items coming in per day. I do think they are trying their best, but the guarantee is gone because of their sheer size and lack of staff to verify
I will continue to use them for the only reason I use them, if it’s the cheapest option for a sneaker

The statement u showed still says they're checking for fakes. This is just a way for them to not be held liable if a fake managed to get through it's not like it's a fake free for all now

I have a pair of Jordan 4 UNC's I was trying to sell for like $400 or so to make a little extra money for my son's birthday and Christmas coming up. But as I was going to list them, I saw at the bottom that it said (in lamen terms) that if they think your shoes are fake, they can charge you up to 15% of the price you listed it for!! So basically they can lie to you, just to make you pay them! I get what they are trying to do by stoping people from sending them fake shoes......but at the same time.....FU** that policy!! My shoes are 100% authentic and dead stock....but with all the heat Stock has received in the past, there is absolutely no way I am going to trust them, especially not with a bull sh** policy like that!
I can understand something like putting a strike on someones account whenever they submit fake shoes to be sold or some type of punishment like that. But 15% of the listing price if they "think" your shoes might be fake!?!? FU** that!! 😂

I think most resellers will move to eBay,. Lower fees for sellers and no fees for buyer. And they guarantee the authenticity of the Shoes. I personally have bought and sold from eBay this year that they have adopted this authentication system ma di am very happy

They were selling fakes before changing the verbage on their site. Imagine paying Stock X resale prices plus shipping for a pair of “new” fake sneakers!!! What’s even crazier is that the resale market still uses Stock X as a reference point to price their shoes. How?!!?
Then how will they sell the items at the speculated price market ?
So... in other words the value they provided is gone, they're essentially no different from any other marketplace then. The last pair I bought through them added a significant premium, therefore if the value proposition for that is gone, it'll probably be the least time I use them.

Ikr same. Honestly one of the biggest sneaker platforms but even still I’ve heard so many stories of fakes. Luckily for me I never buy shoes over $200 so even if it’s fake I still got the shoe and it’s not like my intent was buying reps to flex or anything I just like the way it looks.

No a lot of the time cheaper pairs will be from overseas where they’re not as sought after other places especially China have completely different trending shoes than we do at least most of the time so they throw them on stockx to make more and we buy them to pay less doesn’t mean they can’t be fake but it doesn’t mean they’re real either imo from my experience I’ve bought probably 15-20 pairs from stockx and all passed the check check app and my local stores said they were real but I’ve never bought a shoe over $500 and none of the pairs that are known for having tons of fakes around
Verifying the authenticity of shoes is the sole reason for buying shoes from them. Stock X is now Craigslist.
