Is the style suppose to be legato not staccoto on the eighth notes?

yes bc its repeated, to not make it boring you have to make it first forte and legato and then piano and stacatto or something like

You play with a baroque bow, which I like! But your ‘repertoire of articulations’ is everything but baroque…only quasi legato, which makes it imho rather monotonous and boring.
