So if Wrath somehow managed to injure him, he'd have to drop his shield, heal, and bring it back up again, and Wrath is WAY too fast for him to do all that in the middle of battle.

Just think of the sin too, Wrath is a fierce torrent of hatred and anger. From what I hear the authors explanation of Wrath is that his transformation ripped his body apart and regenerated so many times that it used up all the souls in the stone except his, hence his aging and lack of regenerative abilities. I also believe the process killed candidates 1-11.
Actually , Bradley told Mustang he wasn`t sure whether his one soul left was his original one or one of the ones from The Stone and that he no longer cared !

Not to mention Lust's Ultimate Spear is supposed to be able to pierce anything so in theory it could at least cancel out the ultimate shield. 2. The only fight were Greedling was in shock from the memories was when he attacked Wrath in his home in front of Pride and his wife. By the time they fought on top of the castle Greedling had come to terms with everything that happened and decided to take Wrath down for kill his minions. The simple fact is that Wrath is the superior warrior even if hes not the superior Homunculus. He shows it time and time again that out of all of them hes the most skilled in combat.
He can't regenerate and keep the shield up at the same time. If something does manage to penetrate his shield and injure him, he has to drop the shield before he can heal himself. Although it is true, he should have covered his entire body in a shield. I don't think Bradley can use Alchemy, and we've seen that his blades are easily broken when striking the shield, so a full body shield would probably have been no problem.
greed is awesome and all, but wrath is better. i mean wrath kicks his ass every time they fight... and wrath is alot younger than greed in soul, but alot older physically.
Greed is actually my all time favorite, but i don't think he's the strongest. Wrath easily defeated him many times. I'm not sure if Greed can generate his ultimate shield on time to defend himself against Wrath. Wrath almost depleted his stone pretty much the first time. Other than that, I love Greed. But the true plan in the end Greed was just protecting his friends
