Yeah. Hasbro had no call on canceling Reactive/Rise. It was going to be yet another live-service game (ah la Concord and Kill the Justice League). I'm glad they pulled the plug but man, what I wouldn't have given for a GOOD TF game.
That's why I been collecting for the 10 last years Japanese, Korean, Chinese, 3rd and 4th parties and KOs instead of Hasbro crap. I just organized my 2024 purchases and out of 8 bins, only 2 have Transformers from Hasbro.
sigh... I understand that hasbro wants to move into games. They need to move slowly and build that up. This rush to move into a industry where they have layoffs and companies shutting down. they really need to balance that out. Make sure shows/movies games and toys sync up. Moving focus away from toys seems bad. They could be smart and just share and balance the revenue where toys, movies/shows and games help support each other. You like the movie you get the toy. You like the toy you play the game. you like the game you watch the movie... etc. it takes time to do that.
If by "less toys" they mean getting out from the Disney/Marvel/Lucas Films deal and putting out 3-4 waves of Transformers and GI Joe Classified while they license out brands like MASK and COPS then I'm all for it. Even if this is the end of it all, I think I'm ready, so long as they complete any combiners they start.

I got an absoulutely great value 6 piece unboxed Predaking from aliexpress for xmas from my partner that was under £30 incl shipping. Considering the size and quality I would have happily paid double that
With what you said at the finale, of transformers dying out thanks to hasbro is giving me war flashbacks about Bakugan, Spinmaster really went out of their way to deface it’s name in the second reboot, with whole removal of the tcg and factions for a poorly done beyblade game, along with lowering quality in materials and designs I really hope things turn for the better as I just go in and I’m enjoying what I’m seeing; mainly the primes lol, but if they do die out I just hope they at least finish making TF one shockwave and starscream
A desperate part of me wanted to believe that Hasbro would outsource Transformers to Takara again, and my Leader Class figures would go back to being a foot tall with lights and sounds, but that's a pipe dream at best. The Microsoft stuff is funny though because twice now I've had to turn off Windows Defender because it was interfering with my Total AV. One time Windows even forced a system shut down Total AV was doing a scheduled scan and Windows determined that was a threat.
I dont understand whats amazing about having detachable backpack. Like just detach the backpack dude. Unless, if the backpack does the same thing like they did with the calibur, transform them into the shield or even better, the AoE gun thing. The calibur one has 4 wheels on it but they still managed to turn it into a shield. I think its even easier for them to do it with this piece of plastic that form the front cab. Such a missed opportunity it could be a great gimmick that being carried forward from the previous leader class toy.
Being able to fully remove the backpack allows the figure to have a much more movie accurate silhouette. The movie Prime figures (after RotF) have all had major issue with vehicle kibble ruining the overall look of the robot mode. Being able to fully remove the mass of truck bits makes the bot mode look SO much better.
How does Hasbro think they can become an IP company if they keep killing their IPs? They cancelled reactivate and are no longer funding the TF movies after driving them into the round. The only other toy brand I see going strong is beyblade. Their movies have sucked (marvel and star wars and the D&D movie depending on who you ask). What is even left that other companies would want to touch? Monopoly? MLP? Peppa Pig?
I think it's both their problems. Paramount didn't bother to market the movie and did a stupid staggered release over the globe. And then Hasbro had very few toys for the line.
I think Transformers is here to stay along with Marvel legends. But if they were to sell, I could see a company connecting with the same manufacturers and possibly keeping some toy engineers who know the brand to keep some continuity. But it’s anyone’s guess
Mate, you forgot My Little Pony G5 as a toy line and that is becoming dead, I know several Bronies that are going when are the new sets coming out and where are the playsets. Personally, I want the original Transformers but they aren't releasing anything new from G1 Style Transformers which means I have to build out my G1 Style Transformers with MFT and Hot Soldiers line and Jinbo and such

And now with Beyblade X, Hasbruh gon' Hasbruh yet again with a bunch of exclusive collaboration products that are effectively 🐳💩 retools of the actual existing molds. And they've almost never copied Takara 1:1 in Beyblade, they've always had to put their own goofy 🐳💩 touches to it dating all the way back to the original Baukten Shoot Beyblade (I don't mean the original anime or manga, I mean the early stuff that predates the anime & manga, going on to incorporate the manga to a degree before going balls deep anime).
Hasbro just isn't doing well. MLP fell apart with G5 after the absolute MASTERPIECE G4 is, Transformers is going through another dark age, PR and GiJ are falling apart, D&D is being mistreated.... yeah.
I think a reason your reviews of mainline figures get less views cos cos they come out after other people like EmGo or PrimeVsPrime have already done them
I'm not an active TF toy buyer, but I wouldn't mind having 3 waves instead of 4 per year. In my mind that could imply they'd give more time and focus per figure, which *hopefully* would mean higher quality. The themes of each line could use more focus, as they're a literal mixed bag from all walks of transformers life. In that sense I do agree that the toyline could use a better lead person. Still keeping my fingers crossed for Armada Jetfire. Legacy Armada Optimus needs his pants.
All TF figures are produced in Vietnam. So the tariffs on EU and China that start on Feb 1st won't impact these shipments. But that doesn't mean that Hasbro WON'T raise prices just to make some more money.
I also been banned by many facebook groups for explaining logically why Hasbro is dying. Many transformers collectors refuse to see the reality how shitty collecting transformers has become. I hate Hasbro shills.

The vehicle modes of the Autobots in the Bayformers movies are great looking, however, all their respective robot modes sucks and looks awful. This is the reason why I never bought a single figure from the live-action Bayformers movies. Right now, I am thinking the Maximals in the Rise Of The Beasts.

I have little interest in whatever ad bloated shovelware games they come up with. Oh well. The 3rd party scene is going stronger than ever and i've been collecting many more vintage robots.

I'm more offended by $25 Core class Devastation Optimus Prime's small size for its high cost. You can't convince me thats a Deluxe class.

The developers of reactivates cancelled the game, not hasbro and not funding movies doesn’t mean that paramount will stop making TF movies
