Começam a circular rumores de que uma entidade desconhecida está procurando os guerreiros mais fortes em todos os mundos, reunindo muitos oponentes poderosos para lutarem. Heróis e vilões dos muitos mundos começam a procurar por essa nova ameaça, seja tentando proteger seus mundos ou em busca de fortuna. Depois de cruzar muitos mundos e derrotar aqueles que encontram ao longo do caminho, o personagem do jogador encontra o responsável pelos acontecimentos, o Polygon Man, que o ataca. Depois que o Polygon Man é derrotado, o vencedor absorve seu poder e retorna ao seu próprio mundo, onde o personagem decide como usar seu novo poder.

God, the intro movie made me cry. I was not expecting to see so many characters I knew and loved, interacting with each other. Jak, Ratchet, Sackboy, and Sly all made me so happy to see them; plus the whole thing was set to an awesome Madeon song I already knew~! <3 I don't think I can accurately capture just how happy this made made, regardless of the game itself. It makes we want to say, "Welcome back."~
