James is so good nice friendly man and great actor and singer I don’t get and understand and no how and why he gets hate and backlash
I first saw James Cordon on a British TV show called 'Fat Friends' (2000-2005). James played a binge eating teenager who was bullied a lot at school, and growing up with a depressed divorced Mom. The 'Fat Friends' storyline centers around a group of overweight people attending Weight Watchers-type of meetings and their friendships. For those of us who have ever been bullied due to our weight or body shape, the show was very relatable.
Very good show indeed. James did a good job in it too.

@@roscoemuttley The thing about a phony Fallon intro is it doesn't feel like something being done to you, just with you in an unpleasant way. Corden feels like it's flying at your face. People want to duck.

@@MoneyGist Indeed! My comment was more about him having “only” a guest role and not being a companion, the doctor himself or other characters that stay for a whole season. And for two appearances (and another one in a DVD special), I remember his character more than others, especially considering it's over ten years now.

I remember stumbling on a very young Daniel Kaluuya in one episode and I had to remind myself where I'd seen him before.
Seems kind of contemptible that people simply believe three stories about someone being publicly rude or acting privileged and assume that's all there is to a person, as if a minuscule number of examples compared to their day to day public exposure is a condemnation of all they are as a person.
Perhaps people should give other people the benefit of the doubt, instead of being such callous cynics, particularly when they've repeatedly apologized.

A lot of people hate/hated Corden, but I really enjoyed The Late Late Show, and I really think it came into its own during COVID when he went back into the studio without the audience and made his entire production team part of the show.
I enjoyed it too but that was his lifeboat. There’s a classic clip where Kimmel plays a game with Corden and asks him to name one of diss cameramen, which he couldn’t
And he was just a mean little shet, Reggie Watts was underutilized so he would completely check out and James would randomly ask Reggie what he thought and Reggie always had a save. Corden was being an ass

Funny - Seth always comes across as genuinely nice, and he clearly likes Corden, but it does make you realise what a different world these people live in. If Seth wasn’t who he is, and just some random person, say, a member of the crew, Corden would be completely awful to him. Seth must have heard about what he’s like to ‘ordinary’ people - guess it’s a case of ‘well, he’s always been pleasant to me’. But we all know the truth.
James' talk show was one of my favorites. I hope he is doing well

@@TheAccidentalViking Stop pushing your agenda. Any celebrity with an upcoming project does the major talk show rounds, it's nothing to do with desperation and it's all about advertising. Appearances on the more popular talk shows are coveted and if Corden was able to appear on all the top shows then that's a big win for him.
I liked James on Gavin and Stacy. I hope he does more things with Ruth Jones as she is awesome.

I’d believe it. Head of Late Night Programming Nick Bernstein would be at the show and would do ridiculous stuff but you could tell in the honest bits he was telling Corden to accept the offer but Corden was still negotiating
Corden was pulling about 6 mill a year, more than Seth who is getting shot 5, Jimmy and Colbert getting about $15 mil

I think your previous dislike of him is causing you to negatively interpret completely harmless statements. He was clearly just making a joke pretending to be staging interventions for each of the remaining talk show hosts. Most people with new shows to promote go on several shows; it's not really a huge flex
