Looks like they threw the rocks from the demolished castle into the field....😳...lurv the tractor, music to me ears. 👍.. Look forward to seeing the orchard in time to come.
A great video well done everyone. Best of luck to Jessica on her new job we will miss her on the channel but hopefully she’ll make the odd appearance again 👍👍
Great to see Farther Phil out with his machine well proud of you all helping with the planting of the orchard sorry about the bulls trampled on . Your a wonderful farming family.Nice to see your Uncle getting on with things as well.Good on all of you .God Bless and peace to you all.💯😢😢😂💟🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈
Congrats on getting the Orchard in. Highly suggest you put 2-3 inches deep of mulch 1 meter around every tree - it will both suppress the weeds which will help your trees establish quicker and by adding mulch it will keep the area around each tree more moist than the surrounding area during the summer months. It will also make it much easier to mow around the trees after the grass establishes. Looking forward to see how it progresses.
I gotta say this. Your plow just brought back memories of my dad and mom. My dad actually built his tractor and made the plow, and other stuff for it. Thank you. Hadn't thought of that in a long time
Great family bonding video....😃 quote of the video for me....”I don’t actually know what he’s doing......nothing measured out” 😂😂😂 oooh and please do up the TVO Fegie 20....... sometime at least ....she deserves it......😍
The TVO 20 and plough is a great we tractor and works away in problem. Great to see your trees planted and look forward to seeing them grow. Interesting drone shots and video also to hear from father Phil's story about how the sheep spoilt the last orchard.
Nice one Phil. Excellent video. Great to see the little Ferguson at work. The orchard is a real investment into the future. Be nice to have some home grown fruit. Well done team Phil.
PHIL, love the Videos & family . Good to see Father Phil on his old tractor. Didn't know you had old castle on farm . How Frickin cool is that . Any more history on that ? Glad to see you enjoying what your doing . Wont be long it will be 24 7 farming and contracting. Little Bro in cab this year ? Alot of good ideas you have . 🍺🇺🇸👍
That’s a really good idea, also if you like farming or growing things then it would mean a lot if you could check out our channel and maybe even subscribe
Great to see you all out planting up the orchard, I think it's going to look fantastic once the trees all get established, lovely fresh fruit for the shop! The tractor and plough did really well. Good luck to Jess in her new job.
Great video . Thats whats farming really about . Great craic . Loved introduction of family members. May you enjoy the fruits of your labour ! Things fallen back into place.
Hey Phil, you've a fair amount of cherries. If your getting more trees again I'd get less cherries, you rarely get much off them as the birds always get there first. Also plant all the blackcurrants soft fruit in a square so you can get a fruit cage over them, nets can be a pain when they get bigger but also the cage preserves the fruit better if your thinking about a pay to pick thing Looking forward to you and father phil building a cider press :)
Great family effort nice to see, its what its all about, father Phil is right , things always dont happen the way theyre supposed to.Welcome to Galway Jess, youll love it .
Its none of my business, but we've got an old orchard and 16 feet wide rows is good but 16 feet apart in their rows is good too. I just had to remove 8 foot spaced trees (every other one) to get more light and air flow (they get sick from too much moisture). Also, you might end up using a cab tractor with a flail mower and you will need room to work. If you're going espaliered style trees then closely spaced is okay but for the traditional orchard 16 feet all directions is about perfect. Good luck! Beautiful property! Good wishes from Canada.
Don't forget to put stakes in or trees will blow over. The fergie and plough going well father Phil is really enjoying it. I have the same set up cheers.
Great video nice to see the TED20 ploughing can almost smell the TVO from here, some rare stoney ground in places, not making a bad job at all with the plough either 🙂 highlight of my week vintage Thursday
More great content phil fair play!Great to see the family out as one and all getting involved that's what it's all about! Curious to the uncle does he have his own farm and come over to help yous or does himself and your father and yourself all have the same farm hes an interesting man like your father a wealth of knowledge of farming past and present and hes always good to hear and see on the q and a's! Keep up the good work folks
Hard to get a family to do that now a days work togeather and agree with each other most farms now are i thing and i worker but ye do every thing like in the old days and hire work as well yer a great family father and uncle great men no shit tell it as it is.must go to ur shop were only a few mile away Cheers Happy Christmas to you all..
Fine job..the ones with live roots and damaged tops..just get a secateurs or a loppers and cut them off at a 45 deg angle above a bud..it will stop the water getting in and rotting the plant..if the roots are good they will grow..
I cood do with a few implaments for mines, we use cat 2 on the most part. To bad that I'm about west Wales and all that, I'm sure I'll find a few favorable implaments in good time.
What mixture do you put in the Tvo side of the tank? I was told to put in a 2 to 1. 2 parts kerosene to 1 part petrol. I was also told that you need to put a plastic furterlizer bag in front of the radiator so the it runs hot in order for it to run on tvo is this true. Only after buying it so don't want to boil it
You should have covered the bare roots while waiting to plant . It prevents wind damage that could kill plants. Just for future reference, well done on the way ferguson is running.
As person with 2 acres of apple trees but a wooden post and loosely tie them to it to help them from the wind also put lettuce wire about a foot and half high around the bottom to stop rabbits from eating them nail it to the lettuce wire to wooden post
I don't remember kerosene having a reddish tint to it. Ferguson and Ford both made a rear lift attachment for changing the rear tires. Hooked into the lift/draft arms, you raised and the 2 "U" shaped ends went straight under the rear axle housing and lifted the entire rear end off the ground just high enough to allow you to change the tires around. Correct me if I'm wrong but, aren't you missing the stabilizer arms? For having the wrong muffler on, she still sounds good. If you have it available, get some seafoam and run in the gas tank and in the oil. Really cleans the engine and helps it preform like it should. I could listen to that TVO-20 run all day. Coulters on the the plow need some work, but, overall, it's working not too badly. This is why these old small tractors are still valuable today. Their size and what they can do. Hopefully, those tree's will grow like they should and the damaged one's make a come back. LOL not meant for a 100 acres, around here, back in the day, there were 3-4 running together and they plowed a 100 acres. You're father is full of a lot of knowledge. Learn all you can from him and enjoy these times with him. Great video, cheers :)
Looks like they threw the rocks from the demolished castle into the field....😳...lurv the tractor, music to me ears. 👍.. Look forward to seeing the orchard in time to come.
A great video well done everyone. Best of luck to Jessica on her new job we will miss her on the channel but hopefully she’ll make the odd appearance again 👍👍
will yous ever do a story time of the old castles? looking good

That is sooooooo true!

Who's going to be on the rake in the summer with Jessica gone?

Will run OK on pure kerosene when switched over from being started on petrol. No wouldnt cover over the radiator at all.
In cold weather cover the bottom half of the radiator. That's what Father Phil does.
l once planted 10 apple trees that night a neighbours' goat got and stripped the bottom 4 foot of every tree
You should have covered the bare roots while waiting to plant . It prevents wind damage that could kill plants. Just for future reference, well done on the way ferguson is running.
great video
Loving these vids what is your favourite tractor
Go watch the 40000 sub special they say all that
Btw it's the 3690
As person with 2 acres of apple trees but a wooden post and loosely tie them to it to help them from the wind also put lettuce wire about a foot and half high around the bottom to stop rabbits from eating them nail it to the lettuce wire to wooden post
You should've got a picture of the ferguson for the farmers journal
I don't remember kerosene having a reddish tint to it.

Nice 😁👌
You should have changed the centres of the wheels to the narrowest setting for ploughing
Great video
Thats a great spot for an orchard. Are you going to stake the trees? Tractor is running well.
