No firmware update can fix the lack of analog triggers, so you can't play properly the 3D controller compatible games like Nights, Sega Rally or Power Slave. That is a dealbreaker for me. The best alternative, for now, is just buy a BlueRetro adapter and use your Xbox or Playstation controller, all buttons works great using this bluetooth adapter, including the analog stick and triggers.
Yeah, I have my 3D controller handy for those, but the Saturn library is so large and diverse that I can definitely use this controller for 90% of the games and be happy. It would've made more sense if they just made 2 versions of this controller. One of them with analog triggers and only the Saturn wireless adapter and another with digital triggers with a wireless USB adapter.
