- When budgets are cut in eastern Oregon's rural Baker County School District, schools must move to a four-day week. The Ski for the Health of It (SHI) program stepped in to provide students with a pass to ski on their day off school, consequently stoking a lifelong passion for snowsports in students. Beautiful & inspiring short film! It is so exciting & wonderful to see young people be introduced to the joys, experiences & adventures of the mountain that is so close to their home, yet different from their farm lives. To see the girls share the mountain with their mother was really special. Cheers to this great snowsports school program!

What about people who are born and raised(and sometimes stuck) in New Orleans? Majority of the people down here,skiing isn't even a possibility? Travel 1500 miles over $3,000 for tickets, not to mention, food,lodging and transportation. What about us?
