Nah you can do it with a little practice! Aileron into the wind and opposite rudder to keep the nose down the runway. During landing make sure to touch down with both main wheels at the same time. The F-16 doesn’t handle “wing low landings” very well.
@@silvera- You need rudder during x-wind takeoffs. During landing I believe the manual recommends landing with a crab (-angle) but personally I use the rudder to de-crab before touchdown. Either way it's important to touch down level with both main wheels at the same time, avoid wing low touch downs.
Ok, after having searched the WHOLE internet, I still don't get the reference :D Care to explain? Who is this Chad, and what did he do to his angles?!!
@@JAXviation Hey :) a crab angle is a maneuver used by aircraft to fly an approach during windy conditions (the nose is not centered on the runway, but the aircraft is) Chad is a term used to describe someone who's a "boss" or "legend" or "best at the game" So, the reference is, "not a crab angle, but a chad angle" Make sense now?
Kinda dispointed DCS maxs out at 28MPH that is not even romtly realistic to simulate nomal winds in Florida, USA. And like what if you wanted to do a mission in a storm or Tropical cyclone?
high winds and still centre line, wow
Beautiful takeoff and landing mate. If I had attempted that I'd be landing on the grass - and not the soft kind!

@@JAXviation does F16 need rudder during normal or crosswind landings? I read that ailerons compensate those rudder inputs for F16.

Excellent landing.
Thanks!
average day in the life of a dutch F-16 pilot
beautiful landing ;)
Thank you!
who needs a crab angle, we have a CHAD angle

@@Doomsday499 haha thanks! I have an IRL video from my helmet cam during a crosswind landing with heavy crab on final, maybe I should upload it.
Nicely done !
Thanks :)
Top notch landing. Great
Thanks!
Nice video
Thanks! :)
wow xD I'm still working on landing it normally
The trick is to keep the speed up on the upper limit of the landing AoA bracket and go idle just before the flare :)
@@JAXviation Thanks!

Wind way
Great job man!
Thanks!

That looks easy but its not good job man
Fake Flight !!!!!
Mr Hayes, that is a very serious allegation, please explain yourself!
@@JAXviation might be trying to say it because its dcs? I dunno its in the title tho
Yeah, I guess so Alejandro 😄
