You should see en livstid I krig live @Gothenburg read up on the lyrics though as they are not the same in the English ver as in the Swedish ver.
I was actually in the audience at that concert. I live just outside of Gothenburg.
I know you've said a few times, jokingly that you are an ignorant American but I think you would love that song. It's about the 30 years war and frankly the meaninglessness of it all. It's made from the perspective of a "conscripted soldier" well, most armies back then were.

Clearly not Sabaton production , when there are no stage cameras as they usually have .
@@pete_lind wacken always have thier own cameras. normaly the whole show can be seen on german TV or in a stream
@@godfatherofbloedniss yeah but Sabaton usually have their own crew filming from stage , from behind the artists to get their live performances , except in Wacken 2019 and it cant be that the stage there was too small , that would not be good for Wacken ... stage so small bands cant get whole crew on it ? Also its the footage copyright holder that blocks these reaction videos on YT.
Smaller bands have no option , they need to rely on the location crews and camera work . Just look W.O.A 2021 , biggest names are Judas Priest , Devin Townsend , Tarja Turunen and Lindemann (solo project not Rammstein). Slipknot for first time ., with lot of other first timer bands..
ok the reason I said it's Megaton ... They used both stages for the final songs of the show. The current band on stage and the ex-members of the band on the other stage. There was even a drum solo across the 2 stages that was simply epic to see. Thanx for starting the week with this... you made me smile soooo much

Tina Guo is by far, the BEST cello player in the world. She plays with Hans Zimmer orquestra; her covers of King Lion are unbelievable!! Or Chevaliers de Sang Real. And she is a total BADASS!
You should watch "SABATON - En Livstid I Krig (Live - The Great Tour - Gothenburg)". Really amazing crowd and song. it's a swedish song but youtube lyrics button does a pretty decent job at keeping you up with the lyrics.

This is true. I would like more people to realize this.
Swedish Pagans has an interesting history with Sabaton.
It started off as a bonus track that Joakim admits wasn't very well thought out that exploded with the fanbase, so popular that the audience regularly chats it at shows to get it played, even if it's not on the set list.
Joakim's dislike of the song is a bit of a meme with Sabaton. With the crowd and Tommy (and in this instance, guest musicians) trying to get Swedish Pagans to play while Joakim "protests". Or Joakim trolls the audience by promising Swedish Pagans only to play something else to the tune.
Tinas solo always gives me goosebumps no mater how many times I hear this version of swedish pagans 💪🤘
It may not be my favorite Sabaton Song, but it has a special place in my heart.

Apocalyptica is a metal band playing with cellos and a drummer. They have singers on some of the songs to get something to get radio play but mostly they do not have singer with them. Joakim sings on Live or Die and they feature on Sabaton's Angels Calling and did their own version of Sabaton's Fields of Verdun.
Apocalyptica created cello-metal. Love those guys.
I got to see them perform with Sabaton live when those collabs came out. In fact I only realised they were playing the day of the show thanks to stumbling across the video that day. They did a good few songs together live and it was UNREAL!
(Extra lucky as it was like my last night in Helsinki too)
Those Helmets on Rifles are Soldier Memorials. Rifle with bayonet stuck in ground and helmet on top marking a temp grave...
And Sabaton got the 2 main stages at Wacken ...20 th anniversary for Sabaton and 30 th anniversary for Wacken.. no band except Sabaton pulled that off before .. letting one band own the 2 stages during the whole concert...magical and impressive🤘🇸🇪🤘🇸🇪🤘🇸🇪

Hi Oldskulenerd! Congrats to Andre. Great choice. This is one of the fan favorite songs of Sabaton. (Though not Joakim's 😂) Wacken 2019 was a special show for Sabaton. They played on both main stages. Old band members joined for this show. The chelist's name is Tina Guo . Total sweetheart and big Rammstein fan (so yeah she is a classical/metalhead :D ) She is involved in countless movie and videogame soundtracks, not to mention her solo projects, albums. If you want to react to something different check out her UA-cam channel has a ton of MV-s. Pick one that spark your interest.
Want to watch her perform with orchestra? I'd recommend "Hans Zimmer live in Prague" concert soundtracs like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Dark Night Rises, Da Vinci Code, Man of Steel just to mention a few ;) p.s. video is Ok in Europe :)

I love that you talk about the lost Cajun, im a french Canadian / Acadian living in Moncton, NB, Canada, city named after General Monckton, the general in charge of the deportation of the Acadians. I also graduated the University of my city, and i shit you not, its called the University of Moncton, its a French, Acadian University. For those wondering what the link between a Cajun and an Acadian, the Cajun were deported to Luisiana, it was too far to walk back, the Acadian were deported to mostly Boston or New-York and just walk back home and are still live in east Canada. why are the Cajun called the Cajun, blame the Luisiana accent and unability to pronounce Acadian -> Cadian -> Cajun
