Just a tiny little thing. As to aristocracy, royalty and so on. It did not end in Europe after WWI. All three Scandinavian countries still have monarchs, so does Belgium, The Netherlands, the UK (as I'm sure you know), Spain, Monaco, Luxembourg, Andorra, Liechtenstein and technically the Vatican state. Knights still exist, but now mostly ceremonial titles.
The differences in care, angles, projectile size, and whether debris got stuck would be the biggest factors. The reason he was in Poland when ww2 started was because he was the commander of the British military mission to Poland. He was called back to service when Germany invaded. Apparently he spent the interwar years hunting at an estate owned by his friend who happened to be a Polish nobleman.
You talk about "Unsinkable Molly Brown" but you need to remember Violet Jessup. Although he will never be popular for obvious reasons, I think of 1 "contender" deserving also the title "unkillable soldier": the half forgotten but in time legendary Prussian and later German officer (From WW 1, 1915 I believe he was elevated to the exclusive rank of FieldMarshall) August von Mackensen, who was in every war from Prussia and Germany from 1870 (French-German or French-Prussian war) till 1945 (WW II), and Germany had a lot of wars in that time. He is known to have erected a statue for the extreme heroism and bravery of his Serbian ADVERSARIES in Belgrado, during WW 1). He is also known a 1 of the very few daring to oppose Hitler concerning the cruelties committed in Poland during WW 2. His reputation was so legendary that even Hitler could not afford to touch him.

HOW Sir Adrian Paul Ghislain Carton de Wiart served in the Boer War, First World War, and Second World War. He was shot in the face, head, stomach, ankle, leg, hip, and ear; was blinded in his left eye; survived two plane crashes; tunnelled out of a prisoner-of-war camp; and tore off his own fingers when a doctor declined to amputate them. Describing his experiences in the First World War, he wrote, "Frankly I had enjoyed the war". He lived to the ripe age of 83.

He actually really didnt care about becoming british at all. When meeting him in 1907, King George asked if he had become a citizen yet. The answer was NO, and the king urged him " to get it sorted". A hint that he need this to advance his career . We call this " forced with a gentle hand" . They couldnt go on and hand out so many medals to foreigners now could they, it would serve them better if he were a british hero. He himself couldnt have cared less. He fought for britain coz they got the first pick, was loyal coz he did have morals and quite frankly they offered lots more opportunities for action than others, being an Empire at the time. But he would have fought for anyone else really.
Yes, his father was Belgian, but his mom was Irish, so he had connection to British Empire. As for Poland, Sir Adrian came here in 1919 with official mission. Then He took part in Polish-Ukrainian conflict, fought in Polish-Bolshevik War, received The Cross of Valor twice - 1921, 1941. He also received highest Polish Military Order (and one of the oldest one's in the world), The Silver Cross of Polish War Order of Virtuti Militari ( Virtue of Military Valor ). Great reaction. Sabaton is unbeatable.🤘🇵🇱 I forgot; after 1924 ( end of active service ), Sir Adrian stayed in Poland because he liked it here. In 1939 returned to active service as the head of British Intelligence in Poland. That's how he was in Poland on the outbrake of WW II.

Maybe I got you wrong @OldSkuleNerd but Belgium has Monarchy up till today even though, apart from a Veto Right, the King (Philippe atm) has no more rights. So I agree that Belgium is no Kingdom anymore but it's very much like the UK
We also don't really refer to ourselves as a kingdom anymore. I mean, we often use the word "koninklijke" (royal) for certain institutions, like the royal library which is our national library. But yes, our king is more symbolic, even though he has a veto right. He's a public figure who represents the Belgian people. To put it shortly, if we are referred to as a kingdom, then it's more in a formal setting seeing as we still have our monarchy. But other than that we're just Belgium.

Bulgaria was seen as the smaller enemy nation and the victorious allies didn't really care if the Bulgarian people didn't want to get rid of their monarchy, but tsar Ferdinand 1 of Bulgaria did step down for his oldest child Boris the 3rd who surrenderd to the allies, who in turn striped Bulgaria of all land it got during the war and made them pay the a large cash sum to the victors of the war. After taking power in September 1944, the Communist-dominated government had his body exhumed and secretly buried in the courtyard of Vrana Palace, near Sofia. At a later time, the Communist authorities moved the zinc coffin from Vrana to a secret location, which remains unknown to this day. After the fall of communism, an excavation was made at Vrana Palace. Only Boris's heart was found, as it had been put in a glass cylinder outside the coffin. The heart was taken by his widow in 1994 to Rila Monastery, where it was reinterred. Simeon was born to Boris III of Bulgaria and Giovanna of Italy. Following his birth, Boris III sent an air force officer to the Jordan River to obtain water for Simeon's baptism in the Orthodox faith. He was pointed to accede to the throne on 28 August 1943 upon the death of his father, who had just returned to Bulgaria from a meeting with Adolf Hitler. Then a massive media campaign was launched throughout Bulgaria in the name of the Tsar to uphold the national spirit during heavy War-times. Since Simeon was only six years old, his uncle Prince Kiril, Prime Minister Bogdan Filov, and Lt. General Nikola Mihov of the Bulgarian Army were appointed regents. Under his father, Bulgaria had reluctantly joined the Axis powers in World War II but had managed to preserve diplomatic relations with the Soviet Union. Still, on 5 September 1944 Stalin declared war on Bulgaria and three days later, the Red Army entered the country without encountering resistance. On the next day, 9 September 1944, Prince Kyril and the other regents were deposed by a Soviet-backed coup and arrested. The three regents, all members of the last three governments, Parliament deputies, heads of the army and eminent journalists were executed by the Communists in February 1945. Simeon would return to a democratic Bulgaria in 1993 and would become it's 48th prime minister from 2001 to 2005 and returned previously royal land back to his family and he gave himself his royal name back and the people didn't mind apparently since he was quite a good pm and actually improved his people's standard of living among other things.

Metal has many of the best guitarists, but now metal has also some of the best librarians, so ti seems....metal as an instrument to commemorate a fierce, grizzly and awesome past that shaped the world we now live in.
Well, they sort of did get that from a polish bishop or something. A bishop (or whatever he was) showed up on a Sabaton concert and had brought an old sword from their armory and presented it to them as a gift thanking them for their "service". :)

I may be wrong, but I suspect that this video may have been poking fun at video games. They are laughing and joking as though it's just a game. The unrealistic nurse seems to be able to help people just by injecting then with a syringe or touching them. He uses a non WWI weapon (joking how games don't have realistic weapons.) The way he keeps coming back is almost like a player respawning after dying. And I notice he works his way up the ranks. I even noticed at one point he points at the enemy and it reminded me of a player using emotes. Like I say, maybe I'm reading to much into this, but I really do thing they are having a friendly joke about historically inaccurate video games
Since you are of a military background you should react to an old pre Tommy Chris and Hannes song called Coat of arms . I would like to know your thoughts on that.
I just cannot overlook the fact that they have both M1928 and M1A1 Thompson submachine guns in a music video about events in WW1. It triggers this pain in the back of my head. Just.. why would they do that
I suspect they were poking fun at video games. The whole thing felt like people playing a game. The nurse healing people with a touch, the soldier respawning, the inaccurate weapons for the war. At one point he even points at the enemy almost like an emote. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the feeling I get
@@michaeltunnicliffe4935 I thought that they might be trolling, since the video has some comedic factors. But still. It just triggers me to see a gun in a time where it shouldn't exist yet.
About knighting someone... It disgusts me that in England lewis Hamilton and Sir Christopher Lee (who did so much more, not just cultural, but also in special service) for the country were practically put on the same Dame padestal... Just no. It's not fair. One of them had to know to be secret and still could tell during the filming of the lord of the rings how a knife to the chest actually sounds, not like in the staged movies... And there we have the guy that drives a car that he loves to do as a hobby, because he doesn't or rarely drive in private himself... One is just not the same. I mean good for Hamilton, but for sir ian mckellen or especially people like sir christopher Lee... It's just not right.
Just watch the freaking video.. every gripe you make.. they talk about in the song. Nobody cares about your extra knowledge.. it’s a music video detailing an entire dudes life. It’s not going to go into crazy detail for anything..

The first thing after I heard the song, was, did oldschool nerd reacted?
I didn't heard about him.
Nice work.
Great reaction video ! However there is little mistake inside, we still have a king in Belgium to this day ;)
A lot of countries in europe have kings and queens to this day, including belgium, the netherlands and scandinavia. They just don't have any power anymore outsidr of ceremonies.
Yeah, pretty sure he didn't give a damn about acristoracy or being one of the last knights of his line. I love when people follow their own Conde, not any names or ranks put / thrown on / at them.
a true badass couldnt be killed in war, but stairs ended his career...damn.
Imagine being a German who was captured in WW1 by this guy only to be at normandy 30 years later and see this Berserker charging up the beach towards you...roll initiative and roll a system shock
The paper probably reports on the great war, so that would be August 5th 1914.
He was in Poland as a attache for the British to Poland to help them prepare in case Germany invaded and they ignored most of what he suggested.
You heard it here first - walk your stairs _CAREFULLY_ ... they are powerful enough to make Europe's Last Knight _retire_ XD
Who would win in a 1v1 battle, Lord Mountbatten or Sir Adrian?
Well, I think the medals of Lord Mountbatten would not save him from the wrath of the "Unkillable Soldier".
Great reaction man, thank you..
He's just a Terminator that glitched
if you like to read about bad ass soldiers read the book Anders Lassen vc , mc of the sas ,it is a good book ,he was a dane in englist servis .and he got tons of medals he got the mc with 2 bars and the vc posthumt
Yea, but it is more of the Parody than Satire. And hey, the story behind the man about who is that song is so Call of Duty like that it fits.
Please react to another big swedish band called HammerFall and their song ”Venerate Me” or ”Hammer of Dawn” its one of the best bands out there
Professor OldSkuleNerd is in session, listen up :)
I like the comparison to unsinkable Molly brown from titanic
Belgium is a monarchy today
I would be so pissed if a set of stairs took my Witt after I kicked ass in countless wars
Since you are of a military background you should react to an old pre Tommy Chris and Hannes song called Coat of arms . I would like to know your thoughts on that.
wow i had no idea that he got so many medals from different countries and there knight hood.
You've better notice that Tommy has some facial hair in this video. It's was hard to recognize him...
Reminds me of Rasputin. Just wasn't dying.
Epic💥🤩
I feel like Sabaton were once history teachers who decided to form a metal band.
🤣🤣🤣
Sweden, Norway and Denmark were and are still kingdoms
I love how cartoony the clip feels
Erm I don't know where you got the "Camel wars" from, but he first saw action in the Boer Wars in South Africa
Weren't the Boer wars also known as the camel wars? If my assumption is wrong please let me know 😅
@@brandenantonino23 Yeah no, not as far as I am aware of. I would know since it's literally my country's history
He didn't actually die. He just logged out of the lobby
If the germans only had a set of stairs
If doing the most was a person, he'd be it.
LOL XD
Sir Adrian 💂
I've survived Africa ww1 ww2 and more. But stairs they scare me
Belgium and the netherlands still have a King...
I just cannot overlook the fact that they have both M1928 and M1A1 Thompson submachine guns in a music video about events in WW1. It triggers this pain in the back of my head. Just.. why would they do that
This music video is about ww1 and ww2
I suspect they were poking fun at video games. The whole thing felt like people playing a game. The nurse healing people with a touch, the soldier respawning, the inaccurate weapons for the war. At one point he even points at the enemy almost like an emote. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's the feeling I get
@@michaeltunnicliffe4935 and he wrote he enjoyed the war
@@gerritrookworst3701 it shows ww1 events.
@@michaeltunnicliffe4935 I thought that they might be trolling, since the video has some comedic factors. But still. It just triggers me to see a gun in a time where it shouldn't exist yet.
He must have fell down D. stairs
Is the guy playing Sir Adrian, the same guy who does Sabaton History?
Yes, Indy again is starring in a Sabaton Music Video.
Would have been perfect if he was named Jason :)
OSN makes another Sabaton reaction. Que the hate comments, LMAO
Is’nt that the dude from their historychanel? The narrator?
Sabaton only tells his story in world war one and by the way....Belgium still has a king. It is still a monarchy
He got shot just to see the nurse again 😆
I think the nurse is supposed to symbolize an angel?
Exactly, back in the First and Second War Nurses have always been sacred and one of the most important people actually
LMAO I would not be surprised if they start learning from reactors' comments when they go to put together their history snippets to go with these.
music video /= documentary
lol pretty funny video
This guy told Mao TO HIS FACE that he hated commies.
Pretty sure the Tommy gun isn't period accurate for WWI.
Red Deer Alberta???????
They really do not like Indy..
Just watch the freaking video.. every gripe you make.. they talk about in the song. Nobody cares about your extra knowledge.. it’s a music video detailing an entire dudes life. It’s not going to go into crazy detail for anything..
