Today we are heading to Fortnum & Mason in Piccadilly London the most expensive store in the UK. We are only going to their food department to see how much we can buy on a budget.

You can NEVER leave a jar or pot of Hummus!!!! The best thing ever!!!! Other than aioli. I'm not sure if aioli is as big here as it is back home in NZ though??

I always wanted to go to Fortnum and Mason. In 2018 we managed to get to England on holiday and my cousin (a London cabbie) took us there. I absolutely loved it and if I lived in London I would go there often. Last Christmas, a store here in Australia had some Fortnum's things. I couldn't afford a wicker hamper (which I really wanted) so I settled for a shopping bag. Thanks for another look at lovely Fortnum's.

They do do hampers. Very extravagant. And expensive. But very nice..👍

Think this was a house before a shop, you can sort of tell with the entrance, the queen was born in one of them houses in Piccadilly

When I was at uni in Durham donkeys years ago, there was this incredibly posh lad (think Harry Enfield as Tim Nice-But-Dim) whose parents sent him a massive Fortnum and Mason hamper every term. He called Fortnum and Mason "Fred's"
"Fancy a spot of lunch at mine, chaps? My people have sent a basket from Fred's" was a sentence I loved hearing!

Another awesome video and food challenge and 😋 food. I went to the local M&S and I wasn't impressed with the range of food and it was missing essential ingredients that I can find in discount stores and other retailers and I wouldn't expect that from a store that has a reputation for being expensive so I don't think I will be food shopping in M&S again. Your plan for using those soups with the pasta reminded me of something. My friend runs a small local food bank for a housing estate. One of the things she used to love me doing (I can't get the stuff to her now, unfortunately, so have to donate to a different food bank) is to buy a 1kg pack of pasta & one or two of those cans of "Big Soup". That helps to feed a family, believe it or not. When she gave it to them, she would add some fresh produce & possibly some meat (pretty much nobody on the estate is vegetarian or vegan). That makes a hearty meal for a whole family.

I’ve never heard of this shop 😮 I always feel super intimidated in posh shops 😂 especially with Harrison I feel like a toddler and posh shop never ever mix 😂! But I think I’m too much of a commoner but I do love supermarkets and finding new food stuff! ❤️
We know how you feel Shauna! We've grown up similar, but have found that visiting these kind of places only benefits us even if we're only just looking around, so we'd definitely recommend it or somewhere similar!

Probably too expensive to have a store in Scotland and if they opened one it would probably be in either Glasgow, Edinburgh or St.Andrews.

If you ever come to Lancashire you should try shopping at Booths. They do fancy foods and everyday foods. Some have cafes too.

Still on my bucket list to go there i was put of going to harrods as i was reading the rules and something about a water bottle you cant take in,i always carry my reusable one so that threw me off and then i felt like i was gonna break something and that i would get weird looks if i went to harrods as i wouldn't fit in as its a posh shop!😂😂 so decided ill leave going!😂
I do like the colours of fortnams and harrods it makes everything look even more expensive 😂.

Don't worry about that, we took our water bottles in both places and it was fine! You should definitely go, you will fit in just fine, it will be a lovely day out!
We love the colours too! And yes reduced items!! We couldn't believe it either 😂👌
Also just to let you know we went back to Ikea again as I wanted to buy some pink things for my kitchen and noticed that the mustard is now available in the actual food section! :)

We were really surprised to actually find some discounted and affordable items here, but even if we didn't it's a really nice place to visit 👍
Great video 👍🏼 I think it's really sad that the rich can eat products that are healthy minimalist ingredients when people with less money who Carnt afford much will buy the same thing but it will have about 30 extra unnecessary ingredients in that don't need to be there, same with the fruit and veg none sprayed organically grown and fruits with seeds in while we get the man made sprayed none seeded foods with chemical packaging. £90 for mushrooms will be like 90 pence for a rich person so nothing to them, which there's no hate on them but I do think we should have the option to eat the same and have the same healthy foods. It's confusing to me how food made with less ingredients, less packaging and that is healthy is priced more than foods with tuns of unnecessary ingredients and has more packaging, I think we can all guess why 😒
You're absolutely right, and we appreciate that you've brought this up. The good, simply and healthy foods with less ingredients should be the cheapest and most accessible to everyone, whereas the more complicated foods with lots of ingredients should be higher priced! 👍

@@FamilyFreedom well yes that is just right. Some are so beautiful with like little engraved patterns on them. Excellent idea filling them up with bath salts and a bow. Coloured buttons look beautiful too . As to coloured pencils standing up in a wide mouth jar😊

My dad's side of the family are from London and once on a visit, as a child, I was given a huge, brick like slab of chocolate from there and some of the marzipan fruit too. We'd go for a look round but never buy anything.
