Melee's general style has always fascinated me. Unlike N64, but so unlike the general Gamecube's atmosphere. You captured that so well here, and I'm happy others seek to replicate it's atmosphere.
Shogo Sakai did the music for the cancelled N64 version of Mother 3 right before melee was going into production so when he was hired to do the music for melee, he reused alot of the same samples off the Roland SC-88. Hence why it sounds so much like Mother 3
I always love how the mother series and its music is portrayed in Smash Brothers, especially melee's tracks. You did a real good job giving Twoson the authenticity of melee's soundtrack and deserve plenty of praise for that.
This sounds like it came right from the game! It's only missing another song near the end of the loop, kinda like Fourside having bits of Belch's Factory/Fire Spring and the eight melodies, this could've had a few notes from Paula's theme (The song when she's trapped in the cabin, not sure if that's actually paula's theme) But that's just a nitpick, this is excellent!
Yeah, alot of Melee's songs, and the Smash series in general were combinations/medleys of at least two. Even Jun Senoue took this in mind when he made the Angel Island remix for Brawl combining both Act 1&2 together. (I still think it's criminal Sonic's only had one new remix in the course of 4 SSB games.)

I can see this being played on Onett as alternate music, like how the Fire Emblem theme (called Story 5 Meeting in later games) plays sometimes on the Zelda stages.

@@FSTR_Sh-ilm4 yep sakai was on both melee and mother 3, I’m specifically emulating his style here He did arrangements like brinstar, peach’s castle, bein’ friends so you can pretty easily tell his style from the other melee composers

There’s a lot of Twoson covers, but this feels like it best captures the feelings of when you first experience twoson in the game. Great job!
It has an 80’s family sitcom sound to it, which I find incredibly nostalgic in addition to it being my favorite Earthbound song
