Thats exactly the way you do it, no red, no yellow, no silver....no fishy taste

  • @robswildhogsausage3734

The oldtimers would’ve kept that backbone

  • @charleywalker2982

New way for me, the old timers around here would cook them whole also with the bone in. It gives them a different flavor.❤ 👍

Nice my friend I'm with you all the way no red meat no silver skin and fat you got some fine eatting

  • @sheldoncaldwell382

That's exactly the way I have done it for years.. My dad hated fillets. We 100% steaked out catfish. Dad always felt like if you through away the bone, you through away the flavor.

Would like to see a video on catch and clean turtles. And is there any truth to soaking catfish fillets in milk or buttermilk a couple hrs to take the gamey taste out? Haha nvm you just answered my question with removing fish fat.

  • @garydavidson8273

You’ve shown us how you catch, clean, cook and even eat them. You sir are a catfish connoisseur 👍

I'm 60 an I've seen old guys grab the top lip pull back skin head and all. The eat the cheek meat an all. Good luck on your next trip. I filet the same way you do. Been doing it 50 years that way.

So enjoyable to watch your videos, you taught me a lot! I saw a knife sharpener on your table, is that what you use for all your knives?

    watching now 👍

  • @Texasmade1976

Fillet it! we used skin them in the old days but we got over it, all country people used to do it that way cause they were afraid of wasting cause they grew up in the depression and it just got passed on. The thinner you make the fillets the crispier they are and better

  • @kalvinfay5889

You know what you’re doing 👍
