Have I seen anything as appetising as that 🤔well yes I have the last meal you made and the one before that and so on and so on they always look so good and tasty thank you Rik 🙌Amanda xx
I will definitely make this so wonderful recipe it looks so easy and so amazing I absolutely love Italian food and casseroles this is right up my alley❤
Seen title and thought yeah OK. The seen the start of the vid, with pasta. Awesome and hooked right away. As always I was very happy with the deliverance and methods used. Giving two end choices was a great twist with the further baked in the oven a very much loved idea. Spot on fella again and as always.
Hi Rik…this looks Amazing! 😋 I make something similar. I call it “pot lasagna” and I use the twisty pasta. Thank you for your recipe, I saw a few things that will make mine better now! ❤
Thanks rik, your video popped up this afternoon at the right time, I've just made it for dinner and it's definitely gone down well with the whole family, my son took seconds back home aswell
Very interesting. I'll have to give this a try. By the way, you can save a little money and get just the flavor you want by making your own Italian sausage from plain ground meat. (I've been making it for pizza for many years.) If you want total control (though it's more time consuming) you can even grind your own meat.
Italian sausage with bean and tomato sauce marry very well. Another one of my favourites. I alway enjoy watching you cook Rik. Id serve it with chunky toasted garlic bread. Yum. 😋. Or even cover it with toasted garlic bread , under the salamander. Sprinkle with parmesan to serve.
Just dug out the beans and stuff for tomorrow (grand children) Lincs sausage will have to do! You would not believe how high I respect your chef-ing. Peace and goodwill.
Another dish to add on our menu. Reasonable to make with ingredients that most people have on hand. Nutritious and filling. Chopped egg plant, zucchini, chopped string beans would also be good additions to this "ein topf" (everything in one dish) recipe and still maintain the Italian character of it. The only true Italian thing missing from this dish is the atmosphere: having you cook this yummy dish wearing an undershirt, smoking a large stogie and drinking red wine while you are cooking. And of course arguing with a Nona lurking in the kitchen because you didn't put enough of something in the cooking! Keep 'em coming Rik!
I have never quite seen a casserole with these same ingredients here, but sliced Italian sausage, and pepper casserole is very popular, with pasta on the side, and garlic bread, frequent family meal in the NY restaurants for the staff.😊
Hi Rik, my problem is. … I want to be sitting opposite you trying out all these delicious recipes as you make them! 😋 not going to happen, but I can dream 😄, you make cooking look so easy, take care x
I love Italian food, and this looks amazing. I will definitely be making this one. Best Italian I ever had was the most amazing ravioli in a backstreet candle-lit restaurant in Venice.
Thank you for the serving options, stew with crusty bread. I am practicing rustic bread making and as a result I have bread ends to use instead of pasta or rice. Plus I welcome taking the sausage meat out of the casing as I find some brands of commercially made sausage have thicker casings than I like to chew. And my older roommate has poor dentistry so this method is a winner.
I just made this for tea. Our 18 year old grandson came over. He eats like a horse so I always need plenty of food when he comes over. I had to change things a bit. I live in Australia and mozzarella cheese is expensive so I only bought a bit. The supermarket was out of celery so I put squash (not pumpkin but a small round yellow zucchini tasting vegetable) in it instead. While I was cooking it I was wondering if this was going to be OK. I've never used the Italian sausages before. It turned out a great success with both my husband and our grandson having second helpings. I served it with a simple tomato and lettuce salad. Thank you, it was yummy.
I just wanted to tell you my family absolutely LOVES your channel, you, and the foods you prepare! Recently while I was watching an older episode from when you made Welsh Rarebit ( Rabbit) , I spotted something in the kitchen behind you , that looked like something I grew up eating, that my grandfather , whose family was from England , loved and my father loved. There were jars on the counter ( not on the rack shelves) they contained a yellow colored contents…would that happen to be Piccallili Chow Chow ( mustard pickle )? You have mentioned before if there is a recipe that one has lost track of , that maybe you might be able to find it. I’ve made some Chow Chow as we called it, but the recipe used apples. The English brand we always had did not contain apples. It had cauliflower, cucumbers, and pearl onions. Anyway, thank you for your channel and the awesome technique and recipes. I’ve made some and you have taught me a lot. You always make us smile, and we “borrow” your catch phrase “ look at thaaat” when we make something yummy you would be proud of. I wish to add , your heart felt thank you to your subscribers touched our hearts more than you know. Xoxo ~ Loray
Id be inclined to buy better sausages and not take the skins off. We never buy supermarket meat any way. But great idea. You have inspired me, thankyou.
Unfortunately, where food prices are now beyond a joke, the cost of those Italian sausages are about $8 so that would turn a lot of people off using them so a cheaper alternative would be better.
As you put it "For we Americans" the temp is in the description and "for we the whole world" can read is clearly following the ingredients list. Thank you. Best, Rik

Another great creation looks delicious and Italian sausage... never had that i don't think, is it the same as chorizo??
Thank you. No its just a pork sausage with Italian flavour. Best, Rik
Hi Rik! Again - a winner! A real stunning dish! I’m guessing those who like it (we don’t) the sausage could be chorizo sausage?
Indeed! Thank you. Best, Rik
Rik please don't take this the wrong way...but I wouldn't mind a nibble of your sausage😂 superb stuff mate!

Use pork and call them Italian - just add the Italian herbs - job done! Thank you. Best, Rik
Could you please mention the oven temperature for we Americans?
As you put it "For we Americans" the temp is in the description and "for we the whole world" can read is clearly following the ingredients list. Thank you. Best, Rik
Looks delicious, but 20 ingredients is a bit much for some.
No worries - don't make it - Make a cheese sandwich - Bread, Butter Cheese - only 3 ingredients - enjoy! Thank you. Best, Rik
Pasta bake isn't it?
