All true. CB is alive and well. More joining every day with lockdowns worldwide. Great way to speak locally and globally. Keep up the videos 👍 640 in NYC can be found on 27.365 LSB look forward to hearing our friends in the UK soon!
I'm so jealous and sadden at the same time, I miss CB radio chat morning noon or night. I still have my Cobra GTL 142 I just brought a Galaxy mobile. I guess when the next emergency happens people will dust off the CB's because cellphones won't be of much use.
Hi Fred I'm going to buy the SS 6900 N and would like to know which power supply you use for yours. I'm also getting a Sirio Gain Master half wave and going to try and get it as high as possible on the house, will I need something to protect against lightning? I had an Audioline cb with a DV 27 on a biscuit tin when I started in the early 80s. Love your videos and want to get back in to it again. I hope you are well. Nick
Hi Nick. Its always best to buy a PSU slightly higher than you need. A 12-15 amp would be ideal. Best way to protect from a strike is to simply remove the antenna plug when there are chances of a storm. You can sink a copper earthing rod but need to check your house mains earth system first.
Feed , I'm really tempted to get back on the CB (after many years) hearing this. Do you think a basic set up wi!'ll got out from North London to the group , before I buy a new rig.. ??
Hi Fred, Well done, most entertaining, i didn't realise there was so much activity that ungodly time of the morning. Must do better and try to make a visit.
