I have a French press but due to laziness, I usually just make coffee in my Mr Coffee and drink a cup or two hot and the rest is often iced. I use cheapo Dollar General Italian Sweet Cream or Hazelnut liquid creamer and it makes just the yummiest iced coffee. I know that creamer isn't the healthiest but I am 71 and I have decided that I'm not going to stress over some added sugar in my coffee creamer! Cheers and thanks for your video. Now I know how to make iced in my French press, too.
Random 30 year old coffee addict here ( 5 kids ) and for anyone in a super rush to make it and don't want to wait and refrigerate the coffee just fill those ice trays with coffee or creamer so if you pour hot coffee on it it's not watery. I make mine every morning . But for busy people who wanna make it ahead of time your way sounds very time efficient 🥰

I've heard that if you make your ice cubes out of coffee, it will taste even better and makes the coffee last longer. Love this video!

I spend way too much money buying the jugs of Starbucks Carmel macchiato and the mocha flavor, they cost about 6 to 7 dollars per bottle at the grocery store and I buy at least 6 per week. Brews (a process that slowly extracts (making a concentrate)) it’s recommended to use Coarse ground coffee rather than Fine grounds.

This isn't cold brew. This is a super quick, ultra efficient French press brew, using room temp water. Then -- refrigerating it.
No criticism on your comment, or the way she concocted her coffee beverage. Yes to course ground for cold brew. An absolute must. But this? This is not cold brew.

She's making iced coffee. You could use the French press for cold brew and do it the way she started it just don't plunge down and keep it on the counter or in the refrigerator for 12 to 14 hours. After that time, you can plunge slowly and you will have cold brew.

I love iced coffee in the hot summer. Hot for the widwest great lake region winter. Krispy Kreme medium roast and even Tim Horton's is amazing. Chock full of nutts is okay as well iced but not as good as Krispy Kreme coffee.
Helpful tip get torani syrups they save me tons of money they are a little bit of an investment but the great in the long run especially for a dorm

You ever had cold brew coffee ? It’s basically what u did except leave it in the French press for like 15 hours and then pour it into the jar

@cremepuff6505 The point of Cold Brew, is to make a large concentrated batch, then dilute it, as you drink it each day. So, how do you not have enough time for that, exactly? 🤔
You can make a very concentrated cold brew batch at a 1:1 or 1:2 ratio (of coffee:water), or any ratio you prefer. Then pouring the concentrate into your coffee cup, and diluting with either milk or water, etc...
Cold brew doesn't lose its flavor as fast as hot coffee does. So creating a large batch for a period of several days, doesn't hurt it.
Double the Med Folger's recipe in a French press with warmish water for 10 min, then add 1:1 water. you are welcome
We use a cheap coffee maker and just use coffee from it to fill up our ice tray overnight and overnight let your coffee for drinking overnight too that way in the morning pour your favorite flavor creamer then coffee ice then the the cold coffee!
So then do you let your coffee cool down a little before pouring it into the ice trays? And by let your coffee for drinking overnight to. Does that mean you put the left over coffee in a mason jar and then put it in the fridge over night to use the next day? Does it tasted watered down after putting the coffee ice in it?
Another way is to use glass jars to freeze coffee in individual servings. You will need to leave some head space for expansion. You can just microwave to thaw it, or place in the fridge overnight. This method is like Keurig convenience, but better and cheaper. Jars are free if you save some from spaghetti sauce, salsa, etc.

Hello Sami Fisher. I have bought a glass frence press from my store called Hema. Its a camping store sort of. I should have bought a foam make too. I realy want an Electric one but the one i want is from nesspresso and its 60 euro,s. But it can make cold foam,hot foam and hot and cold milk so i think i,ll go on the Hunt for it tommorow and i,ll get monin vanila syrup from my store Makro in the netherlands

Just brew a bunch of cups of coffee with pods or grounds at once and put it in the fridge. Save yourself from needing a press.

I’ve been doing this but for my coffee/banana/peanut butter/carrot/kale and vanilla oat milk smoothies in a nutri bullet. Maybe I’ll make a you tube video of how I do it if anyone wants to see it haha Also, filtered water is best if available

She filled the mason jar almost half way and the French press was full and the French press is 34 ounces if that helps at all, id say maybe around 60-70 ounces

My mr iced coffee maker itsn commin. I,ve got an e mail from the company who sells them on amazone and they say they have waterdamaged and they couldnt send it. So i guess the mr coffee iced makers are damaged to do the water. I am now doubthing between a frence press or a cold brew. I love iced coffee but i don,t know the diffrents between a frence press and cold brew cause i got use to my ninja coffee bar and now its death. I love this video👍🏾😁

I have a pour over coffee maker however i cannot get the concentration right for iced coffee. i have thought seriously about expresso machine (seems to be recommended method for iced coffee) I will try French press first for about 20 USD. Thanks for suggestion although this video is 3 years old and she has likely moved on

Oh no!!! Tap water is absolute a No No! Must filter the tap water, use a brita, or even bottled filtered water. Must use filtered water if you are going to store it for days.
Ground coffee does not taste as good as whole bean and hoping is cheaper than ground coffee and you don't get twigs and dirt in it which is added to ground coffee and yes I used to drink Folgers 8 clock case really smooth and good tasting
Making cold brew is actually much quicker than this. Try it

This is my second Keurig Coffee Brewer. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxBrV-RbF5Nk0Rlt9i15aao-YMzqzTG8Vf The first one lasted 6 years. It worked beautifully until the day it didn't. It was hard to go back to the drip coffee for a couple of days while I waited on my Keurig to get here. There is a huge difference in the taste. Keurig makes a really good cup of coffee. This new one is a little different from my old one. I find putting the water filter in was easier than on the old one. Attaching the water reservoir was also a little different but once I figured it out, it too was easier. This new one has the auto off feature but is not programmable like the old one. Only three cup sizes instead of four. The odd thing for me was how much lighter in weight this one is compared to my old one. More plastic and much less metal in the construction of this one. The price is so much less than the original Keurig that I bought and the coffee tastes the same so all in all I am satisfied.
