UP 1989 - The Rio Grande Heritage Unit Chase - Darr to Maxwell

On a three day trip to Nebraska, I got word that UP 1989 was trailing on UP MKSNPB, their second section manifest from Kansas City, KS (stated as MO in the video, please note that this train originates at UP's 13th street yard in Kansas) to North Platte, Nebraska. UP 2660 led this train, which has a beautiful K5HLA horn; the engineer also seemed to enjoy seeing railfans along the line as we did get a few horn salutes. This chase was truly beautiful as the road paces the tracks the whole way. Make for an easy and relaxed chase of this beautiful locomotive.
