question - how do you have so much money to spend on figures , even more so with all the price increases in the world and more to the point how do you have enough space to fit all your figures into your home - I wish i had space for a Miku figure but did get her calendar this year

I almost burst out laughing at the Sonico figure - that’s SO ridiculous I love it??? I hate that she has an upset face option though, one of the main things I like about Sonico figures is that she always looks like she’s having fun with whatever she’s doing and wearing. Don’t make Sonico upset :c

Happy new year. Great haul to start the year. I'm still debating on getting the myethos sleeping beauty. The makoto figure looks amazing I hope i'll be able to get her in my collection in the future.
I pre-ordered the Kudo Mako figure as well and got her just before Christmas, but I sold her the day afterwards because I really didn't like how she looked, unfortunately :') The concept was super cute and I like how unique her face is compared to BINDing's usual figures, but something about her just didn't click with me once I saw her in person. I'm glad you're happy with her though!
Happy New Year! You definitely went out with a bang :D I still really want the Myethos Jinx figure but I'll just have to hope she's still in stock at a later time 😅 and congrats on picking up those older figures!

Happy new year Gwen! Now that I know Libra Sonico has a happy face, I like her! I never knew she had an alternate to her sad face. It sounds silly but I really dislike sonico figures where she looks depressed or humiliated 😔 So, it delights me to see her confident and happy instead!

I’m also not a League player, but I saw her go up for preorder before Arcane came out. I was on the fence since I didn’t know the lore, but I love the character design. Arcane is easily one of my favorite series now so she was an instant PO after that, lol. Also it lights up?! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I’m so excited to get her! Also crying internally since I have to figure out where to put her 😂

I just want you to know Gwyn your one of the only UA-camrs I genuinely enjoy watching im a fairly new fan only started watching a few months ago and I dont even collect scale figures and statues im much more of an Action Figure collecter (Figma, SH Figuarts, Etc) but your bubbly happy personality is just so much fun to watch. Goodsmile picked up a lot of aquamarine figures when they went out of business and finished some in progress ones and actually re released their Nero Claudius one which was suppper sought after! There might be other examples but I know my friend was so so hyped which is why I remember that but I think that’s such a cool thing

The Alsatian (pronounce the t like an s) is really nice, especially once the base modified (flat black is ok).
The outfit is based on traditionnal women's costume from Alsace, one of the eastern region of France bordering Germany.
I’m so happy for you that you love that Makoto figure so much cause as a Makoto girl myself I find myself having at least one major issue with all of her scales 🥲 I do have my eye on the school uniform one from Amakuni we’ve just seen unpainted though (and I can’t even lie, if they re-released the Johanna one I’d have to heavily consider it)
I’m also obsessed with persona figures! just picked up the Joker and Akechi megahouse figures too (to match with their nendoroids 😎) and I’m seriously afraid I will get Yusuke too hhh. So cool to see your collection so far!
I had to cancel over 40 figures, and may cancel more i can no longer keep spending 2k a month on figures, i will only get something i feel like i absolutely cannot live without from now on.

I’m so freaking happy to see that you picked up and fallen in love with Persona 5! As a Persona figure collector, the figures they make of the characters are soooo good! The Makoto one is super awesome and it’s second to my fav figure which is best girl Haru’s EX figma set! I have the figma version of Makoto and Johanna and it is real awesome. The Nendo Mona is so great too! It’s one of the few Nendos I own. I hope you decide to pick up the other Persona games too after you finish P5!

Persona 5 is by far my favourite one. The music is great and the style & characters are awesome. Makoto is also my fav gal so I can relate ❤️ I made a little Makoto shrine 🙈

29:40 I got her too! She's really cute, love her pose so much. Her bangs for me are a little away from her head, but it's not horrible. I also had a hard time with the cups, I displayed her with the cups down because I thought it would look nice because of her pose.

I just really hope Megahouse releases a Skull/Ryuji figure now that they're doing Fox/Yusuke, he's my favorite character and literally all anyone has made is a nendoroid and a figma 🥲
I think nendoroids are a little confusing to assemble at first and some are better than others but I love how small they are and the chibi style. I'm runnning out of space (and honestly shipping prices are getting ridiculous) so I've made the opposite decision lol! I'm cutting back on scales significantly and most of my po's are nendoroids right now. Gotta leave my remaining space for scales that I love and have to have. 😊
Eeeeewwwww that base! Some of my worst bases are on beachwear figures, so I made a sandbox with a printed beach backdrop and buried the bases! They look really natural, my favourite display.

Ironically there's a miku prize figure that's yet to release, and in the original prototype the base was orange. I guess many complained because they changed it to pink.

I have the Aketchi and the Joker that you ordered and I am OBSESSED with them. They look amazing together and I bought a new detolf just to have a better place to display them. I can't wait to see you unbox them. Just be careful with Aketchi. His mask can pop off and break super easily. Make sure you have the right hair piece installed first. Mine broke along with a few others according to mfc.
I love this haul! However, I would definitely consider using my mediocre sewing skills to create an entire cover for the neon orange ugly base! I'm sure you could creatively cover it with some sort of paper, too.
I was the one that linked the twitter pictures of mako on MFC XD!! I know after that a lot of ppl were worried… but I’m glad ur happy with her!! I thought she was super cute, but I agree that the angles could make her look pretty awkward

I have all the Demon Slayer Nendoroids, they’re my favourite Nendoroids, I had to buy the extra faceplate packs to get the bloody face for Rengoku, looks so cool.
But I wish they would make all Nendoroids like the Deku, Bakugo & Shoto Stealth Suit versions, where the arms and legs have joints so you don’t have to change their arms and legs. These are just so much better and far far less annoying how their arms and legs don’t keep falling off when you move them.

I have the Figma Makoto as my only persona figure since most of the Figma ones are so expensive. I only get poseable figures since I love coming up with poses and taking pics of them. She easily blends in well with my other Figmas. If I could get more, I’d get Ryuji and Joker.

Okay, so this was a deal I just happened to get in during the TOM super sale, it wasn't rly bc of the sale bUt, I got the Hatsune Miku Birthday Bunny figure by spiritale, whose usually 225 on TOM, for 125 *shipped*. I used a premium birthday sale coupon and points and I'm still sooo happy at that price.
For me, the TOM super sale had nothing really good in particular(in the actual super deal sections). However, the cash back increase does mean that a lot of figure becomes a fairly good deal in general, alongside with rolling for better coupons. I actually bought 5 figures in the sale:
KDA Ahri: $150+$56 TOM points
Zero Two School Uniform: 152+$9 TOM points
Ikumi Mito Bunny: 248+$40 TOM points
Albedo&Shalltear Bride set: $411 with $62 TOM refund
Marin Kitagawa(aniplex): 160 with $5 TOM refund
For all of the above, the TOM change is the net value, so if I spent $60 TOM and gained $40, that would be a $20 spent.
Total damage: $1120 and 40 TOM
The figure price themselves aren't all that good in some cases, but as they all qualify for free shipping, this makes those purchases better overall than most, if not all, alternatives. Shipping have been killer lately...

About the Holo, I know this is a near blasphemous suggestion but, how about painting the base? With some acrylic black maybe... Would it be possible or would it transfer paint to the figure?

Have you considered maybe buying a different base for the Holo? You could store the original with her box, but then you don't have to be annoyed by the base every time you see her.

The FuRyu Holo figure is really cute, but I didn't like that her ears are really small in that design. I Freeing one on its way and have the ques Q and pop-up parade in hand. Also looking forward to the Kadokawa Chian dress version.

Saw the Makoto is getting a rerelease for JPY33,000 and wanted to double-check what Gwyn paid. Oof hindsight's a bitch. Glad you don't regret buying her but that's probably still a tough pill to swallow haha. One of the risks of the hobby!

Can you remove her from the base? If so you can paint it a different color
You can cancel on Amazon Japan if your payment details are incorrect. They will attempt to charge your card multiple times and if it keeps failing they eventually just cancel your order. I've done it a bunch of times by just switching to an expired card registered to my account.

I am hesitant about Jinx, cause Myethos said nothing about others figures from Arcane... Also, Myethos has a habit of only doing one or two figures from a show, so they probably wont do any other Arcane figure
