I can watch these, and the 99-cent store, for hours. I miss Jay and Kevin. Their re-runs are light=years ahead of the crap and garbage on late night TV these days (2023). Late night TV hasn't been worth watching since Jay left. Thank goodness for these re-runs, and old westerns on Grit!
One headline I sent to Jay was accepted. It was about a man brandishing a sword who had to be shot by the police. The headline read, "Police shoot man with sword." Jay saw the problem with it and asked, "What caliber was the sword?"
A real estate agent agent once wanted to show me an apartment in Norwalk CT that looked out onto elevated train tracks and had bullet holes in the plywood covering the windows in the 80's. She said the locals would probably stop shooting at the windows if people moved in.
Hell yeah! This is one thing I absolutely miss about Jay Leno. I'd watch his show just to watch these Headlines really and when this show was on Hulu, you got it! I would just view the Headlines clip.
My favorite headline might've been one that read "Wouldn't you want your cat to have a smile like this?" and showed a cat with a human smile pasted on it. Sadly, I can't find that headlines segment anywhere since.
From the days when people cut things out of newspapers and put them in envelopes, mailed them in... oh wait. My brother's father-in-law still does that.
4:05 40 bucks for the fish angel tree topper?! Somewhere, in a faraway trailer park, the fish angel tree-topper keeps watch over Billy-Bob as he cracks open his 7th Budweiser of the night.
In a far away trailer park.. hilarious! Probably that brother and sister who are now man and wife live there with that angel fish. They keep their tree up year round.
There's usually one who really makes me smile. I like a "generous" laugh! I come back to these videos often, since they're so timeless: you laugh at them every time. (Of course, Jay and Kevin's reactions really amp up the fun.)
I can possibly top the Pui Kee restaurant. Vancouver once had a Fuk Yu Chinese Restaurant. Alas, it was closed for health violations, never to return, but not before a huge front page picture on a local paper.
No way was is that late. No, this was 97. I remember because I recorded a bunch during that time frame (the tape is long gone), and this was on it. The infamous 'toilet golf" was also during that time period.
I actually thought the "Asian-Americans working hard" headline was very clever. Most of these headlines are mistakes; I think in this case, the headline writer did that on purpose.
I love Leno's Headlines. Here in México I can't find a program with this funny section. But I find something weird in Leno in this episode He has a tie that I think I've own one.
Headlines needs to make a return as a web series or Comedy Central with Jay back to host it! I used to stay up late on Monday nights to watch this. Anyone else had the books that came out of this? I did! Jay was a prodigy at how to deliver the punchlines for these. One of my favorites from him was an obituary for a man named "Moe Lester". I am sure he was a nice guy, but the name... Give me Headlines and Letterman Top 10 List and I''m good to go! Back when late night tv was actually funny....
Well of course it's the "Nutgrabber" made famous by Tchaikovsky as the wonderful, heartwarming ballet performed every year for the holidays. (Attn.: The male lead will spend 3 weeks in recovery at the hospital also every year)
This is great! Funny, enjoyable... ...but NOW we have socialist fools that are about as funny as a toothache! So SAD! (Fallon GO AWAY... Leno come back!)
why cant they put on a funny late show again instead of the useless clowns on TV now? all we hear is Trump bashing and nothing funny. Leno was the best
Leno bashed presidents just as much as anyone else. Just not in this segment. Bush and Clinton were big targets. If Hillary got elected the comedians (quotes) would go after her as well. It's just what they do.
Lot of comments about how Leno didn't get political. Yes he did. Presidents from Johnson to Obama got bashed by comics. It's not a vendetta against Trump. It's just the way the world works. Leno bashed Bush and Clinton. Not in this segment but it happened a lot
Carson and Leno did poke fun of both political parties but weren’t hateful like the current late show hosts. Now their entire shows are vicious personal attacks on the President. That’s why their ratings are so bad.
Jay, what do we have to get you back? You were the best ever!!
those never get old
My all time fav headline,,, Wanted,, Semi-straight truck driver
God he was funny!!! And not vicious at all. America needs him ....
Miss headlines. Use to stay up late just to watch them. Fuuuuuuuuuuuunny.

Yes, Jay, I'm sure all the ladys just loved your "Bordello Blue" shirt tonite!!!
Oh yes. A time when late night tv was actually entertaining.
A real estate agent agent once wanted to show me an apartment in Norwalk CT that looked out onto elevated train tracks and had bullet holes in the plywood covering the windows in the 80's. She said the locals would probably stop shooting at the windows if people moved in.
*Probably* stop shooting? That is...quite the sales pitch.
Well did they?
My favorite routine of his!
Leno’s headlines can’t be beat. As we used to say in the mid 80s FM if they can’t take a joke.
My all-time favorite headline pertained to lawyers giving free legal advice to indigent people. It read, "Lawyers offer poor free advice."
"BORDELLO BLUE" WAS HILARIOUS..
I miss Jay Leno. Wish that his Headlines bit could be a UA-cam series.
You know he does have a UA-cam series, it's about cars and automotive history.
Thanks for the Information, I did not know that!
Jay was the best.i miss him.

I always thought it was funny how he just throws them behind him on the floor 😁
I remember seeing one show where they revealed it was somebody's job to run and pick them up. The guy had to duck to stay below camera range.
... and how he presents that material! FUNNY!
My favorite was "Solid waste authority, bake sale"
Miss him sooooo much!!!😊
From the days when people cut things out of newspapers and put them in envelopes, mailed them in... oh wait. My brother's father-in-law still does that.
Someone send Leno YGS #55: “I am getting very bad headache in my legs.”
I really hope that bride and groom one was a typo!!
I like the blue box at the very end "INTERNET ADDRESS" !
I sure miss Jay!!
MeToo
yea that new guy is a dweeb
4:05 40 bucks for the fish angel tree topper?! Somewhere, in a faraway trailer park, the fish angel tree-topper keeps watch over Billy-Bob as he cracks open his 7th Budweiser of the night.
And it looks like someone dressed the creature from the black lagoon in a wedding gown.
Are you the Eric Smith that was married to Tisha?? (If so, we know each other.)
..AND YELLS TO HIS SHEEP IN THE BEDROOM TO QUIET DOWN, LOL!
In a far away trailer park.. hilarious! Probably that brother and sister who are now man and wife live there with that angel fish. They keep their tree up year round.
One lady in the audience laughs louder than the whole crowd. What a gal.
There's usually one who really makes me smile. I like a "generous" laugh! I come back to these videos often, since they're so timeless: you laugh at them every time. (Of course, Jay and Kevin's reactions really amp up the fun.)
The Fish Angel Tree Topper was quite Disturbing
A fish is actually an early Christian Symbol.
@@edgarcook9607 But dressed as an angel?

Winfield, IL has the Chinese Ho restaurant.
maybe invented health violations because the city council wanted to get rid of their sign...
Believe it or not, I actually remember this batch when it first came out. Pretty sure this would have been summer of 97 or thereabouts
The label on the video's description box says 2006. Not sure if accurate, though.
No way was is that late. No, this was 97. I remember because I recorded a bunch during that time frame (the tape is long gone), and this was on it. The infamous 'toilet golf" was also during that time period.
Toilet golf???? That is one water hazard I will steer clear from. "Oh crap! My 1-wood shot my balls into the toilet!"
You can tell by the amount of gray in his hair.
The last Tonight Show with Jay Leno was on February 6th, 2014.
"I'M SMILING 'CAUSE IM BUYING ME SOME SHEEP!"..HAHAHAHAAHAA!!!
I actually thought the "Asian-Americans working hard" headline was very clever. Most of these headlines are mistakes; I think in this case, the headline writer did that on purpose.
That last ballet move is known as the
Cheating Husband
I thought it was the Nutcracker
@@shaunbrownell4763 You stole my thunder!

And these days, I enjoy his appearances on "Last man standing", on FOX, from 11PM to Midnight. Two episodes, monday thru friday. 🤣👍🏽
Aren't any devices made to enhance your hearing, hearing aids by definition?
The new VR was always fuzzy/snowy.
Cow walks in whole goes out in pieces. 🤣
good ol new VR

... Dance of the Sugar Plum fairies.
Great reply, Michael. I bow to your wit.
What funny funny bits on Leno. If I wanna laugh, just dial these in.

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT! I QUIT LISTENING TO THOSE POLITICAL, BUTTHURT IDIOTS FOR THAT REASON..
Saw a Chinese restaurant not too long ago named Chee Peng. Not exactly something that fills me with confidence....
Leno once showed one called the Poo Ping Cafe.

@@patwiggins6969 yes Leno did pick on all the presidents but it was not his entire monologue like they do now
Funny headlines,bordello blue was best
Miss Jay Leno. Fallon stinks.
So true, fallon is awful and boring
Johnny Carson and Jay Leno were the best. Worth staying up late was worth it.
Hey! It's *Mr* . Jay Leno!
Jay was not a miss.😅
think about it
Do you have Full episodes of the Jay Leno Show 2009 and put headlines and monologue
No.
Oh! It's delicious.
we need Jay today. too bad the woke mob would probably cancel him. bunch of babies.
True!

ESPECIALLY AFTER CLINTON GOT IMPEACHED..HE WAS A WOMANIZING POS, FOR REAL..HILLARY WAS AS BAD OR WORSE..
The funny thing is among other gases the sun is made of hydrogen.😄
therealnightwriter Okay, Shrek. Back under the bridge.
Say, that IS funny!
Which Ballet? Why it is the Nut Cracker
I don't understand the Fahrenheit scale
😂
Maybe not🤔
Leno was the best
At 4:48 It is NOT Piu Kee, it's Pui Kee (Puee Kee) not (Pew Kee).
Ah yes, the bit he stole from Letterman.
Leno = Legend.
Letterman = bitter has-been.
These were in National Lampoon Magazine in the 70s. Most memorable wedding announcement, SWALLOWS-COX.
Leno is the alpha male. All the others are losers
bordello blue NOT funny
